I just turned on the evening news and heard the one of the most saddest things. New Hampshire has lost it's 'Old Man in the Mountain'.
The old man was the symbol of NH. And, probably one of the most photographed places. It was beautiful sittin high in the sky above profile lake. He was one of the natural wonders of the world and for some unknown reason nature and God have taken him away from us.
I am so glad I photographed him when ever we visited up north. I remember when I was little and we would say 'Dad please stop so we can see the old man. And thankfully dad would stop each and every trip we took up North so we could sit and gaze up at the old man.
You will be missed.
