and all I can say is WOW. First off, I actually read IN FULL a guidebook to Los Angeles. I am beyond excited because theres just SO MUCH to do, lol. The only vacations my family have ever taken were to either Virginia (Bush Gardens, etc...) , Ohio (Cedar Point), or Florida (WDW,etc.). I can't even comprehend how we are going to pick and choose what we want to do in the 9 or so days we will be in California.

I believe we will spend two days at Disneyland and the rest in the Los Angeles area. We definetly want to go visit a nice beach or two, go on a studio tours, and visit the obvious tour spots in LA.

We are trying to figure out where to stay once we head to LA after Disneyland.

Wow, I don't know if the above is a mess, if it makes sense, or what....sorry LOL. Well July 2005 can only come so fast, I can't wait to get to California!

Congratulations on your decision to visit Disneyland and you are right to be very, very excited!!! July is going to be one of the busiest times ever there next year. although the 50th anniversary celebration kicks off in May, the "actual" 50th anniversary date is July 17th so you may want to avoid the 5 days before and after it if you're looking for a first time experience. also, two days is a relatively short amount of time to dedicate to Disneyland so if you can visit on a Tues, Wed, or Thurs you will find the crowds less (still lots of them, it's summer and a big celebration after all!)

I can't help you with where to stay in LA but happy planning!

i would avoid those times we took are kids for the very fist time last christmas and that was way to overwehlming for them and not fun for us so we are going in april before the big aniv. kickoff and we are staying for 6 days so hopefully we will have fun . hope you go at the right time and have fun :cool1:
