So my daughter just had her first plane ride to Disney

We were great until the last 15 minutes. She had to potty we went and then she thought she could walk around. When I had to buckle her in, it was HELL! No kicking. Just crying. We are done flying. My child can't handle the flights. You live you learn.

Awe - I wouldn't give up though - at this age even 6 months makes a huge difference in a child. Once you can explain to her what to expect and remind her that everyone has to sit when the seatbelt light is on in a way she can comprehend she should be ok.

Involve her in the trip, remind her the rules of the trip, let her pack her bag of "airplane only" toys and have a few surprises in your bag. Start reminding her now about all the things she did well on the airpplane and maybe get a book or two for children on flying.

This way if you get another opportunity to take a trip she will be ready :)

I wouldn't give up either. My DS will be flying again & each time it gets a little easier. The older they get the better they understand. I think the entire 1st trip is the hardest because they just don't know what to expect. I would not let this put me off flying again; sometimes it is the only way you can go.
