So Much To Celebrate - LIFE and Sophie Kate!

Always happy to see more shopping pictures :)

And because I was a page or two behind I got treated to a double dose of sweet treats too - now I just don't know which one to pick :scratchin :)

I like the white chocolate-covered pretzels. They give a little sweet and a little salty all at once. :thumbsup2

I love Goofy's! I think the dipped pretzel rods are my favorite. Yum!

So what did you end up getting Drew? One of those shirts? How is he doing lately MeMom? What's he up to? :)

I'm trying to remember if I got him a shirt that time. I think I did not. I bought him a couple in that same line yesterday, as Pac Sun had a 50% sale on their t-shirts.

Drew does his own thing. He is always working on cars, motorcycles, and bicycles, so he's always covered in black gunk. :crazy2: He works, rides all of his 'toys', and hangs out with his friends. He's not much on family events, but he will hang out with us occasionally, and he doesn't act like he hates it too badly, but we know he'd rather be elsewhere.

My nephews were like Drew. They did not want a Disney shirt, so I usually brought back a shirt with Starwars for one and ESPN for the other nephew.

Why do the treats at Disney always look wonderful. It helps to know Disney magic(of walking 10+ miles a day) take away most of the calories.

Drew wouldn't even take a Star Wars shirt. He would take an ESPN one or something with a quirky saying or picture.

Yes, doing all that walking at WDW does allow one to have some goodies without thinking so much about it. Still, I can only handle sweets in small doses (unless it's ice cream, of which I can eat massive portions!) so when I see those cases of sugar, it is so overwhelming to me that it makes me sort of , so I get nothing.

I would like to but not sure how things will be quite yet. I'm hoping I'll be able to attend. ::yes::

We hope so, too. We're trying to work out something with Laura/IluvXU on either Friday night or Saturday morning. We'll let you know. I guess if we want to see Ed, it will need to be Friday evening, since he'll work Saturday, and we won't be going into a park. I'll keep you posted as things formulate.

I enjoyed the little shpping trip this morning. After having 6 days of severe weather with it is nice to get a little down time. I can't wait to see Disney in all of fall glory in 115 days!!!! I am so excited :hyper:

A fall trip will be wonderful! We love October trips. Jill may or may not get one this year. She wants to - badly - so I won't count it out. I will count it ou for me, though, because I have to have the money for the December trip. I'll miss it in October, but I am planning to go again next October break. :thumbsup2

I enjoyed the trip to DTD! Goofy's is high on my list! I can't believe I've never been there!

Well, if you end up going to school right around there, I'm betting you'll have lots of trips to DTD and that Goofy's won't have to wait around long for you to explore it. It's a good place to go to get treats as souvenirs for people who would rather have that than a t-shirt or mug. It's fun to create your own treat, too. They also have some good slushie type drinks in character cups, which are nice on a hot summer day. :thumbsup2

I hate that pins have to cost so much! I love being able to pin trade with CMs; it's so thrilling to be able to find a pin that I really want on a CM's lanyard. I only have 2-3 pins that were purchased for keeping.

Yum to Gooofy's Candy Co! Since we are driving to and from Disney with my parents and younger brother this time, it might not be possible to get a caramel and chocolate covered apple to bring home to NY as a post-vacation treat! It'll definitely melt in the car on the way back!

For your upcoming trip in June, are there any DIS meets planned? We will be leaving on June 15th, but since we're driving, we won't be in Florida until June 17th.

We will be at AoA (Lion King suite, that we are actually going to sleep in, unlike our Little Mermaid room) on 6/14. We head to Vero from 6/15 to 6/19. Them back to property on the 19th and heading home on the 21st.

I know there is currently a plan to meet for dinner at Earl's and a game of mini golf for those interested on the evening of the 20th

You guys are a month too early, we arrive on July 16th.

Brooklynn likes to pin trade, and Bella is just barely getting into it. I like to buy and keep.

We hope you can make it to the meet on the 20th at Earl of Sandwich. There's no commitment - you can stop in for a quick hello, you can have a sandwich with us, and/or you can come along for what should be an extremely interesting game of mini-golf. Your family is welcomed as well. We can hope to convince them that your 'internet friends' are not .

Nice spread of merchandise. Love all the pins.

I could easily spend an hour at Pin Traders taking pin pictures. Very soon, I'll get to add a Vero Beach pin, and a Kidani one, if it exists. I don't think they make pins for the mini-golf courses. :sad2: Too bad.

Apparently I was more behind than I thought. This is adorable!

Your pictures from the Confectionary are great. Look at all those rice crispy mickey heads! Wow!

Just think, hard-working hands are at The Confectionery right now making tasty treats for today's guests. :goodvibes

You will sleep in it. If I get too closed in feeling, I'll be sleeping out on a lounge chair at the Nemo pool. ;)

You guys are a month too early, we arrive on July 16th.

Our summer break is so short now, and when we work around church camp and school starting, it doesn't leave much. I think we'll go back to 4th of July week next year. That week makes the others not have to use so many days off, and it gives us something to look forward to for half of the summer. Plus, anything I buy for school after July 1st, I can use my $200 classroom allowance for. When we are at Sea World this summer, there will be things I will want to buy for my class, but I'll have to do it our of my own pocket because it will be before July 1st.

One of these days, the families are going to get to meet. ::yes::

For a little break from shopping, there is a time to sing and dance. It's always lively and fun out here.

Braving our way through World of Disney.

Lumiere always has a warm welcome!

I love that fresh popcorn T. How cute is that?

You have inspired me to take more shopping pictures this trip! :thumbsup2

I love the t-shirts with Walt's quotes on them!!!!! And I somehow missed that you were staying a night in a LK suite. Our Feb trip will either be that or POR so I cant wait to hear all about it and see your pictures!!

Hi MeMom! I'm home and starting to get back into the swing of things. I just wanted to let you know I started a TR!

Virtual WDW shopping is always good for my soul.....and wallet :thumbsup2

Shopping pictures...love shopping (and I'll be at DTD in two nights doing just that).

I just wanted to stop by and see the latest updates (I was out of town all weekend for the bridal shower and came home with a horrible bacterial infection and went to bed right after work last night and will probably do so again).

I love Goofy's Candy...I don't normally buy anything, but I do love going in there and seeing all of the neat stuff.

Hope you get everything all squared away before you leave.
safe trip and happy wedding again!!!!

I love that store MeMom! A little overwhelming but it has everything you could want!

I want the popcorn shirt and one with his quotes and signature! I love, love them! :goodvibes Do they have dressing rooms at the store? I don't think I have ever looked for one.

Thanks for the reply! I will definitely keep the 20th in mind. My family likes stopping by Earl at least once during our trip. I finally got my dad to understand just how great the place is, and even he likes it and he's a hard man to please sometimes! Same with my younger brother who's such a picky eater!

I like the thrill of looking to see what pins a CM has on his or her lanyard. I prefer it more than Vinylmation trading, which is what my husband enjoys, but unfortunately they removed so many of the trade boxes in the parks!

Do you know if it'll be more so in the afternoon or nighttime? I think it'd be fun to meet some other DISers since we stop by to pick up sandwiches anyway! I've met Sarah (wdwgirl03) once when it was planned and again two years later unplanned since we have similar vacation schedules due to being teachers. Even my mom was there during the meets, and Sarah's dad talked to my mom about DVC, haha. It was weird at first for her to understand why I treasured my Disney friends so much, but now I think she's starting to understand why everyone is so important to me!

I love that popcorn cart shirt!

Good! I enjoy seeing other people's shopping pictures.

The Lion King Suite at Art of Animation just evolved this week. We thought we were going to leave Jill's house midday Friday and stop in GA somewhere for the night. As it turns out, her nice boss said she's off that day. Jill has a meeting at school Thursday night, and John will need to get a few hours of sleep, but the more travel we can do in the dark with the girls sleeping, the better. ::yes:: With Jill and John sharing the driving, we should be fine to leave in the middle of the night. We're going to stay in Orlando that day, possibly go to DTD and do the Chip and Dale Campfire at 7, then get back to AoA. The next morning, we can eat breakfast at AoA, let the girls swim, and then go over to Vero to hook up with the party that is going on there. :goodvibes Jill thought it would be a good chance to test out a suite for one night and see how it fits our needs.

Yep, it is fun and harmless. :)

I don't very often buy anything at Goofy's, either, unless it's a treat to bring home to someone else or a drink for the girls. I'm not much of a candy person. Ice cream is my sugar of choice. It is a fun place to go, though, to look, and it's cute and colorful.

I have never looked for a dressing room in World of Disney. I will do some research next weekend. :thumbsup2

I think the plan is to meet at Earl at 7 p.m. I hope you can come, because you will get to meet several DIS families all at once. Let's just say we'll wait at the brick circle where they used to put the games Christmas tree, right where they dance out on the square.

oh my goodness I'm trying to get caught up but for the moment and going to just say :goodvibes and I will get there eventually!
