So Much To Celebrate - LIFE and Sophie Kate!

For my snack I am with Jill and would love a choc. covered strawberry.:goodvibes

Love all the shopping pics.::yes:: When we were at DTD on our last trip I just looked & did not buy a thing!!! That was a first for me. I guess I was not in a shopping mood.

I love that Beach Club picture!! I plan on buying a few small ones for my bathroom in Oct. I have a lighthouse shower curtain & some pictures of shells up right now that I have had for years so time for a change.

Have fun cleaning your den.

Hi MeMom and Jill!!

I needed a Disney fix this afternoon and I knew just where to come to get it...your TR, of course!

I will have one of each of those treats, please. Yum!

Thanks for giving me a little dose of Disney to brighten my day! :goodvibes

Woot woot! Shopping with MeMom before work! :woohoo: one of my favourite things to do! And I would love a Rice Krispie treat as a virtual snack! I too have looked at the Mickey mold repeatedly and never bought it...maybe next time!

I love the pictures of the kids in jail!! Brooklynn's pouty faces are too funny and sassy Bella is hysterical!!

Thanks for the shopping trip. It was just the kind of shopping I needed to do since I have no money. ;)

Hi memom, still here following along. Loving your trip report. It puts a little bit of disney magic into a normal day:)
We are on half term holidays this week, so the pre school I work at is closed.it gives me a bit more Dis time and holiday planning time:woohoo:
This upcoming trip is to celebrate my 40th birthday and Frazers 12th. Plus he moves up to the comprehensive school(high school) in September. we have a lot to celebrate!!:cheer2:
So glad you are getting to go to Vero really soon, with your lovely family. You must be so looking forward to it.

Hi, there. You know why I've not been here the last couple of days, and I apologize. I picked a BAD day to catch up on your TR. All that food...and I haven't had lunch yet. Now I'm thinking I want candy and a taffy apple for my lunch.

Love all the shopping pictures (that castle t-shirt is adorable...I MUST have).

My favorite artwork that we have from Disney (which we couldn't find when we were therr best friend, Nicki, did and sent it to us) is:

I so thought and in fact I know I replied to this but it got eaten. :sad2:

AS I was scrolling down I liked this, then I realized that I actually have it. I picked it up recently but I have yet to hang it.

That's a lot of Disney shopping! I found lots of things I want!

I think making the girls a big Mickey head treat would be fun! I'll have to look for that mold next time for my own kiddos.

Jill chose my favorite treat; chocolate covered strawberries. YUM!!!!

Downtown Disney is a great place to just browse.

I have picked up that cake pan so many times, and I have put it back down every time. One of these days, it's going to make it to the cash register. :goodvibes

Thank you for the shopping diversion today! It made for a nice break from the drudgery of my work!
All those treats look soooo yummy, but I would be partial to a lovely LARGE chocolate covered strawberry too!

I am so happy to have a break from work for a few weeks. My den had become a dump where I was just bringing in tubs of things from school to sort through. I have spent two days cleaning and sorting, so now I am taking some tubs back to school, and I can reclaim the den for use. I don't use it often, but it is the biggest room in the house, so when we have a crowd, we need it for space and having two tables to eat at. So, even though I haven't worked at school, I have been very busy at work at home. Today, I will have time for relaxing. :thumbsup2

I will have a candy apple for my virtual treat, please. Yumm!

I keep putting that big Mickey Silicone Mold on my wish list too and it never seems to make it home with me either.

I haven't seen that Mickey sandwich keeper before....that is a must buy!

We searched every store last trip for that Princess cupcake book and never found it.
We saw someone in line getting one autographed and thought it was such a cute idea.

My favorite Disney Art is my collection of David Doss pictures. Love them all, couldn't pick a favorite.

We need to buy one cake pan for Distown and just share it whenever we need it. We can just send the kids next door or across the cul de sac to borrow it whenever we are in the mood to make a Mickey treat.

Hi Memom. Finally all caught up, had to take a break from the Dis, does it ever depress anyone else, looking thru Disney stuff and knowing the soonest you will be going in like a YEAR AWAY!?!?:(

Anyhoo, great updates.....
As always, looking forward to more.

KIM

P.S. Glad that the young man is doing better.....

B is better and is back at work. He went downhill quickly, and he rebounded just as quickly. I am sure glad the outcome was so much better than what we thought it was going to be for a few days there!

My fave place to go for treats

So much to choose from! It's a good place to buy food souvenirs for people who aren't into t-shirts or anything with Mickey on it. Most people won't turn down an edible souvenir.

I never buy anything in Art of Disney, but it is one of my favorite shops to visit and dream about when I win the lottery.

I am afraid winning the lottery is not in my future. I used to give a teacher friend a dollar a week, along with a handful of other teachers. She got tickets for all of us, but nothing ever came of it. I am destined to be a pauper.

Hmmmm :scratchin

I'llllllll haaave................

one of THOSE!!!

I like cake (no or little icing) and brownies. I'm not a candy person. I'm not much on gummy things, either. Like Jill, I do like a chocolate-covered strawberry.

Just checking in, about 30 pages behind. Just wanted to say I hope to catch up soon :)

Are you going to be available to come over to WDW sometime the 20th for a DIS meet? I will let you know details when plans are finalized. I think we're meeting at Earl of Sandwich at 7 and then some are going mini-golfing after that.

Now I want to shop

I wouldn't mind being in DTD this morning doing some window shopping. DTD is very quiet in the morning, too, so it's nice for picture-taking.

For my snack I am with Jill and would love a choc. covered strawberry.

That Beach Club one would be perfect for your bathroom.

My den thanked me for making it look somewhat like a den again. Drew has to get a bunch of tools out of there from where he has been working on motorcycles and bikes, but it is getting there. Jill said it was starting to look like an episode of Hoarders. :crazy2:

Always good to have you visit! One of each of those treats might throw you into a sugar coma!!!

Brooklynn and Bella definitely reacted differently to their imprisonment, didn't they?

So, if the WDW powers that be are watching us shop, they are seeing us pick up the cake mold and put it back. This should be their cue to mark it down five bucks and see what happens. ;)

Thanks for the shopping trip. It was just the kind of shopping I needed to do since I have no money.

I feel your pain. I get my credit card down a little, and then something makes it go back up. Or lots of somethings. :(

Happy celebrating! :cool1: Enjoy your time off. I have not really rested yet on my first half week off, but that will happen next week, and I am looking very forward to it!

That's a great picture. I can't help but think of Marc and Anita when I see that one, because Beach Club is their place. :thumbsup2

I, too, love chocolate-covered strawberries, but I can't justify the prices I've seen them priced at, especially considering at this time of year the supermarkets have specials on quarts of jumbo strawberries for fractions of what one chocolate-covered strawberry costs! So I guess my best option would be to search the Internet for a good recipe on how to hand-dip my own fruit...:thumbsup2

Joining in!

Glad to have you! This one will be ending soon, but we're headed out again in a couple of weeks, so a new one will start. Plus, the spring trips are still waiting in the wings, so we hope you will stick around. :goodvibes

I am so frugal when I am at home, but when I am in Disney World, I will sometimes spend a 3x normal amount for something and not think much about it. What I pay for a cup of ice cream in WDW would buy a half gallon of it here at home. :sad2: I try to offset that crazy spending, though, by eating quick breakfasts and sometimes having sandwiches in the room for late lunches when the girls are resting.

*****************************************

Our next stop was at Goofy's Candy Company.

Then to look at pins. I love to look at them, and I wish I could buy more, but I try to stick with ones that are significant to that particular trip.

Will I ever 'legally' be able to buy a Castaway Cay pin? Unless they just do a one night cruise there and back, I will probably either have to pass or just buy one because I like it and not because I have done it.

Nighttime in DTD.

I went in Team Mickey to try to find Drew a shirt. He will not wear anything with Disney or Mickey on it, but he likes Nike, Adidas, O'Neill, Billabong, etc.

Looking over at TrenD.

Little guys working on their golf game in Team Mickey.

That's it for this morning. Sorry it's just more shopping, but that is what we did on that night. Have a fun-filled Saturday, all! Thoughts and prayers for all who were in the line of tornadoes last night.

Always happy to see more shopping pictures :)

And because I was a page or two behind I got treated to a double dose of sweet treats too - now I just don't know which one to pick :scratchin :)

I love Goofy's! I think the dipped pretzel rods are my favorite. Yum!

So what did you end up getting Drew? One of those shirts? How is he doing lately MeMom? What's he up to? :)

My nephews were like Drew. They did not want a Disney shirt, so I usually brought back a shirt with Starwars for one and ESPN for the other nephew.

Why do the treats at Disney always look wonderful. It helps to know Disney magic(of walking 10+ miles a day) take away most of the calories.

I would like to but not sure how things will be quite yet. I'm hoping I'll be able to attend. ::yes::

I enjoyed the little shpping trip this morning. After having 6 days of severe weather with it is nice to get a little down time. I can't wait to see Disney in all of fall glory in 115 days!!!! I am so excited :hyper:
