So Much To Celebrate - LIFE and Sophie Kate!

I am so glad he is doing better! Praise God! I hope he continues his recovery.
Just wanted to say Aloha before I leave tomorrow. I hope to see eandesmom and will try to post a Dismeet pic.

So glad to hear about the improvement of "B"!!:yay:

I was talking to Trent on the phone yesterday afternoon, and he said it was amazing what all had happened since that time last week, when Blake had the seizure. He is supposed to come home today, he thinks.

Saw the update earlier on Facebook. So glad that B is on the road to recovery!

Thanks for keeping up with it - and for your thoughts and prayers. It certainly turned out wonderfully!

Looks like a fun weekend.
If you bought every time you took shopping pics you would need to a billionaire. LOL
I like trips with rest time. LOL
Love the early MK pics.
Great NFL pics. I think we were there also that day. I think.
I want that plate set.
Sadly the sign in Little Mermaid in March already had letters missing. :O(
Lefou’s Brew is so good but you do need to like apple juice. LOL
All caught up again.

If I ever become a billionaire, I'll be like Anita and Marc and be buying things in bulk for all of my DIStown neighbors. :thumbsup2 Right now, I'm just working to become a thousandaire. ;)

He's supposed to come home today. It sure has been a whirlwind week for his family.

Don't forget to send plenty of pictures to your DIS ohana. :)

Have a great trip Cara! Aloha!

I feel like I need to have a Hawaii party for my kids on this last day of school (for them) to celebrate with Cara. :cool1:

Asking advice for a friend with five children ages 7-15:

This family is planning a three day off-site Disneyland trip either this summer or in October at fall break. What would be the must do's for them, and can you give any tips on a touring plan? They will get a hopper to do both parks, and they have no preference in how they do it. They are fine with making rope drop. I know very little about the Disneyland parks, and I know nothing about touring tips, but I told her I would find out everything I could from my expert friends. If you can help, please give me some tips to share with them. Thanks in advance!

Thank you so much for the well wishes and concern.
I'm not feeling too bad, just an ever so slight headache.
Baylor's final Middle School musical Variety Show was this evening so we attended, couldn't miss that.

Ouch Anita! Just read about your accident at school. Hope you are feeling better now!

MeMom - last update has the cutest pictures of the girls. Glad you all enjoyed Fantasyland.

I have to admit that I have no desire to try LeFou's brew. It just doesn't appeal to me. But I understand that people who like apple juice really like it. :confused3

Now that turkey leg. I might be able to sink my teeth into that! :rotfl:

MeMom i'm so happy for the good news on "B". It's nice to have something postivie when so much sadness is going on.

I too would like to ask for prayers for a dear friend who found out yesterday that she has Stage 4 Marginal Cell Lymphoma. I am so devistated to say the least. This is a dear friend I grew up with that just has not had an easy life. She's young, only 47. The dr said it's very treatable but she had to undergo more tests yesterday to find out if the cancer is in her bones. Please pray for my friend Lisa...she really can use all the prayers she can get. I told her though, when I found this out yesterday I had an overwhelming feeling in my heart that she will be ok. I can't explain it but I felt it. So lets hope it's true. Thanks.

Finally got all caught up again! I've been kind of absent lately, I just graduated from high school and now I'm preparing for my trip to Disney! I absolutely love the picture of the girls and Ariel, how sweet :goodvibes I can't wait to check out the new Fantasyland for myself!

Happy Friday!! It is supposed to be a very cloudy, rainy & cool weekend :sad2:.

Our church is having an outdoor movie tonight. I would have enjoyed taking the girls, but I don't drive at night unless I really have to. They were saying to bring blankets, because it might get cool. I hope it doesn't rain tomorrow, because we're planning to go to the zoo.

That was actually a pork shank, and it was a bit smaller than the turkey leg. I know some people hate them and hate the thought of gnawing on giant pieces of meat, but I think they are gooood...and I try to eat them in a civilized fashion. ;)

Most definitely prayers for your friend. Stage 4 is certainly not good news, but treatable sounds fantastic! Keep us updated. We will hope for the very best reports for the future. ::yes::

Yes, the girls were happy to see Ariel in her fins again. :thumbsup2

For anyone interested in being in Magic Kingdom tonight from many miles away, there is a link to a live cam from the train station on my FB page. I don't know if I am allowed to put it here. Check out the Disney Parks website, and you'll find it there.

In regards to DL advice for your visiting family... even though we go there quite often, we never have a plan. Since we have AP's we just go and enjoy the atmosphere and ride whatever we can. I will say that Carsland (in California Adventure) is a MUST, and get there early because the fastpasses go fast and the line gets long! You need to get Brooke to help you out as she had a fabulous trip report with some tips that even I didn't know about! :confused3
They will have a fabulous time. If they have ever been to WDW, it is such a different experience.
PS... My baby girl is at DL/CA tonight for gradnite. Their class is not very happy about being over run with all the Monster fans as it is open 24 hours and they don't want to share. At least they are closing most of CA for them so they will have a little Disney magic all to themselves! My DD's favorite place in all of Disney is Carsland, so that helped soothe her a little. :thumbsup2

Good news for "B"
Cara- safe travels and wonderful trip.
That was a pretty familiar Ariel, Brendan and I saw her at Thanksgiving.
Rainy and cold - we're talking 49 for a high- here today and tomorrow. Should be good for the parades on Sunday and Monday- marching band

Justin was supposed to get his braces off on Tuesday, but because of the weather the state tennis tournament was postponed from Saturday until Tuesday...poor guy, next available slot July 16...

Disney mail today!! A month to go!

There are a couple of threads on the DIS about DL. I really liked one that was WDW vet going to DL cheat sheet of sorts. I will see if I can find it again and post a link.

Aha -
A DLR Guide for WDW vets.

Very compact and easy to hop between parks, a 5 min walk gate to gate.

World of Color the nighttime show at CA is a must do.
I do know that DLR has also started enforcing the FP window. When I was there last Sept. they had not started yet. Willing to help out any way I can. :flower3:

Hey has anyone noticed we now have spell check in replies???? :teacher:

I'm not sure if Cara has left yet or not but just in case she checks back in....

Aloha! Enjoy meeting up with Cynthia!:beach:

I'm pretty much done my classroom move and now it's time to pack for the trip. We head out bright and early Sunday morning. :drive:
So that leaves us one day to get ready!

Aloha all! Hope to meet up with Cara over the weekend, it is spectacular here! They arrive sometime tomorrow :)

I told her to definitely do Carsland - so now I will add to do it first, right?

If you think of any tips and hints of things to for sure do or not do, let me know.

I watched MSEP and Wishes from the train station, courtesy of a live stream. It was nice to 'be there'. I hope your high schoolers all had a wonderful and safe time. It was different than any ordinary grad night, I'm sure, with the 24 hour stuff going on.

That's a bummer about the braces. Those things would drive me crazy.

Last time I looked, today should be mid-70's with 10% chance of rain. That was mid-week, though. I hope it has not changed.

:woohoo: for one month!!!

What great news. So glad to hear he is doing well and will be home with his family. :cool1:

I also told her about World of Color and Storybook Land, or whatever the official name is. What rides are exactly the same as WDW that they do not need to bother to do? I know Haunted Mansion is different.

I am going to send her the link to that report. Thanks a lot!

Cara is asleep in LA. Next stop - Hawaii!!! :cool1: I love that they are getting to meet. :goodvibes

Aloha all! Hope to meet up with Cara over the weekend, it is spectacular here! They arrive sometime tomorrow :)

She's asleep in LA right now, getting ready to tackle phase two of the journey to see you.... and Hawaii. :thumbsup2 We will all be looking forward to pictures!

Thanks everyone for the send off. We are in LAX getting ready for our flight to Honolulu. Can't wait to meet Cynthia! Have a great time on your trip Anita!!

:wave2: I watched some of the live feed. The 3 o'clock parade was on at 8pm over here. Then before I went to bed (around midnight), I managed to see the floats coming out for the Move It, Shake It parade, two of the characters on top of the floats had been replaced with Mike and Sulley. I would have loved to have seen the Mainstreet Electric Parade and Wishes, but couldn't stay awake til 2am, some people on the UK Disboards did though.
As soon as I woke up this morning I put the live feed straight back on and watched it right up until it finished at 11am (our time). I loved seeing the closing ceremony with the characters wearing their pjs :cloud9:

DL- Indiana Jones is a ride, we loved it. Also, the Matterhorn

Yes, we discussed the Matterhorn. I had forgotten that Indiana Jones was a ride. I will tell her that. She has four boys and a girl, so that will probably go on the list.

Hope the next time you check in it will be with a beautiful lei around your neck as you lay in a hammock drinking from a coconut shell.

I just watched MSEP and Wishes. I didn't even think about turning it back on this morning. I wish I had seen the characters in their pajamas. Surely someone will put some of it on youtube.

Our next unexpected thing to do on this day was Belle's Enchanted Tales.

Normally, we would not wait for 40 minutes for something, but this was New Fantasyland, it was the first day, and we were not going to be back for a long time, so we got in the line.

Looking over toward the Mine Train.

Can you see through the tree - the large piece of equipment dangling in mid-air? It amazes me that there are cables strong enough to hold something that big and heavy.

Cute little water fountain. Nice to have that while in line.

Belle's height markers on the wall inside the cottage.

Brooklynn at 6 is almost as tall as Belle at nine.

Belle's books and a picture of Belle and her mother.

Some of Maurice's sketches.

Bella was chosen to be Chip. She was a brave girl and went right up and did exactly what they told her to do.

One last picture, and then we were on our way.
