Hello
I know I haven't been around for awhile (at least not posting), but I'm working on your report and trying to catch up. I've kept up on FB pretty well with all that's been going on in your lives. But I'm here now looking at and enjoying all the pictures. We were there just a few weeks before you for 10 days, but the new Fantasyland didn't open until after we had left, so I'm totally enjoying this. Hopefully, I'll catch up soon. Just wanted you to know I'm here.
So good to 'see' you, Cathy!

You are one of our 'old' DIS friends, and we treasure you being here.
Well it only took me a few weeks but I have read this TR from start to current!
First I want to say I'm sorry for such a horrible experience that Jill had after the birth of baby Sophie. What a scary time that must have been for all. I'm so glad that everyone is doing well now! :
Second, how have I never read a MeMom TR? I'm ashamed
Third, what a wonderful DIStown neighborhood you have here. I hope there is a house available on the cul-de-sac because I want to move in!

While we are building your DIStown house, you can just stay at Marc and Anita's, because they are always gone anyway. Usually gone to Disney World, that is.
Jill's episode was scary, but she is a healthy girl again, and we are blessed. What happened with her, as well as what happened with my oldest son, has really been brought back to my mind clearly this past week with our friend's traumatic experience.
I'm hungry! Did you save me any of the pork from Gaston's Tavern? That looks yummy!
Had you been there with us, we could have made you a really good pork barbeque 'sammie'.
Hi there! I have been following along with LIFE and Sophie Kate and decided to go back to the beginning to get a little backstory and see how this all started! So yesterday I started with Baby and the Tramp and just finished! I have a lot more reading to do but I love the way you write and all the pics of the girls! I am a mom to three girls and would love one day to go with them and their families when they are grown. In the mean time, we enjoy going when we can and I love love love enjoying Disney through their eyes! I think I may be starting a PTR very soon for our February 2014 trip and I am going to try and convince my oldest daughter to add to it just like MeMom and Jill!
So glad to have you join us!
What fun trips you have in store for you with your girls! I love, love, love being in WDW with my kids!
I hope your daughter will chime in. Jill is so busy that she doesn't get to comment much, but I always enjoy it when she adds her comments and pictures.
Just a quick check in during work. Love the picture of the girls with Ariel. So sweet!!
I am happy to announce that we just bought GF DVC!!!!! I am so excited. Cannot wait to stay there. I finally convinced Jason today. Woohoo!!!!
Well, I guess that's a sign for dancing banana man to appear!
Very excited for you and your new purchase.
Congrats! I'd like to stay there and hope I can without having to own there!
I didn't even know it was available to buy yet!! (good DVC member that I am, right?)
I bet you will get to do that, Sheree. I want to stay a night or two at Grand Floridian someday, just to say I did.
OOOH , Congratulations! We are on the fence. We own at BLT, but GF has always been our favorite, since our older son worked there as an Intern for Hotel Mgmt. courses, and stayed for a few years in total at the GF as a Concierge. We got spoiled rotten. Might wait until we go on the member's cruise, see if there are some good incentives.
Hotel Management was my third career interest after teaching amd social work. Just think, if I had chosen that option, I might be working at a Disney resort today.
Cara! Congratulations on your GF purchase! I'll admit that I'm a tad bit green with envy, but I'll just be content to stay there if we can ever get in at 7 months booking.....
MeMom, when I heard about the hit that Moore, OK took, I checked with Marc and he had already been in touch with Michelle (Soonergirl) via Face Book. He found out that they were a mile away from the devastation. So thankful that our friends were safe but sad at the same time that so many were not...
I got a text from Cara asking about her. I was on my way home, and as soon as I walked in the door, I got on FB and checked. Michelle was on there saying they were safe, but that it had hit about a mile from her home. I have messaged with her since then. She said the park she walks at is destroyed, as are homes of some of the boys' friends.
Thanks everyone!! I am so excited. I told Jason when we bought DVC at first that we would buy GF if it was ever built. It is my favorite resort. I am just so happy when I stay there. I cannot wait to use my points!! Anita-you still surpass my points by far.

I am sure after the first year, it will be easier to get nights at 7 months. Poly DVC will take off some of the heat.
I was able to walk around there a little in March, and I got some pictures of the new waterplay area for the kids. It was too dark to get good pictures of the construction, though.
Fun update. I love the photos of the girls with Ariel.
It's good to see Ariel in her fins again after such a long break.
So tonight I was talking to brother Noah about the NYE trip. He asked very excitedly "Are we watching fireworks on the beach?" I sad yes, and eating dinner at OHana. "Oh sweet!" was his reply. I still chuckle about that OHana meal we had that 4th of July & how excited the boys were for that meal.
Our guys are possibly a tiny bit excited about 'Ohana, as well. The other things they are excited about are Whispering Canyon and Teppan Edo. There seems to be a theme here.

I want to give you an update on our friend, B. After many tests, it was determined he had some kind of viral infection that he could not fight off well due to his Addison's Disease. After the doctors pinpointed the issue and started his treatment, he has made continued progress. One of his sisters put up a great picture of him smiling big in the hospital bed, and it was nothing less than thrilling to see that.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers for him and for the family. We hope for continued good news as he heals, and we hope that this never ever ever happens again!!!
