So Much to Celebrate. . a Disney Wedding, 30th Anniversary & Easter 2015 Updated 3/29

BTMRR is always better at night! It's like a totally different ride.

Looks like you guys had a blast on Splash Mtn. And how fun that your DD played the wardrobe at Enchanted Tales.

Very cute invitations! Fit in perfect with your Disney wedding.

BTMRR is best at night! Danielle got a real kick out of being part of the show. She'll never outgrow it.

A little late, but joining in! Loving your report and can't wait to hear more! We're planning trip for week after Easter this coming April so very interested in hearing about the crowds right after Easter!

Just found this, and so glad to be following another trip report from a fellow Baton Rouge area Disser. I am not on the Dis very much any more, so I don't always keep up well. You daughters are just beautiful. I think Danielle should consider being a Disney princess herself when she gets older - she certainly has the looks! Looks like a wonderful plan and a wonderful Disney wedding and trip. I'm glad Michelle is adding her posts too.

:welcome: It's not too late. I'm only on day 2. I'm hoping to get a littler further today. We seem to go at the most crowded times so we know how to manage it.

:welcome:back fellow BRDiser. I was wondering where you were. It's always great to see a familiar face especially one I've actually met in real life. Thanks so much for the compliments on the girls. I think their beautiful but I'm very partial to them. I think the last time you saw Danielle was the beginning of middle school. She's a senior now.:crazy2:

April 4th Magic Kingdom Part 4

I'm so sorry it's been so long since I posted but football season is so busy for us. Of course this is the last year it will be. Danielle is a senior so we're doing everything for the last time and since she's the youngest of 3 it really is for the last time as parents.

When I last left off we had spent some time with Belle in the Enchanted cottage now it was time for lunch and what better place to go to next than Beast's castle. Lunch today was to be at Be Our Guest. This was something totally new for Dennis. Danielle and I shared a diner here in 2014 during the cheer competition trip. We really wanted to do diner again but since we started planning less than 180 days out it wasn't meant to be. When we first started planning the way to get the lunch was through a special site I think at 30 days out. Right before I hit the 30 days out they scrubbed that and it was moved to the regular dinning site. So of course we had to book it and since we wanted everyone else to eat here too we booked it twice. I really don't like doing something twice in a trip but we wanted everyone to experience it too. This really put a crimp in our normal lunch plans. The girls and I love to eat at Columbia Harbor House and Dennis really likes Pecos Bills. He at least got some Pecos Bills since we grabbed a snack here earlier in the day. Our ADR was for 12:55 and we just barley made it after rushing out of Enchanted Tales. We had not ordered ahead of time since no one was really sure what they wanted. We checked in and waited to be called. It didn't take long. By 12:57 we saw these guys.

If you've been there before you know the room you make your order in is also the room you take pictures with Beast at diner. We slowly put in our orders. Dennis has the turkey sandwich with fries, Danielle had the croque monsieur also with fries and I had the roast beef with green beans. Before we left the room I insisted on a picture in front of the fireplace. It's not in focus but still a picture.

I wanted to eat in the Ballroom but it was full. We settled on the library and to be honest it was much more quiet and easier to relax and enjoy our meal. By the time we had our drinks and gotten comfortable they were bringing our food. This is my roast beef. As you can see we had 3 cupcakes, 2 lemon and 1 strawberry. I'm pretty sure Dennis and I got the lemon and Danielle has the strawberry. There were all good but the strawberry was the best.

We sat right under the dancing couple.

Another shot of those yummy cupcakes.

After I finished eating I had to take some pictures of the whole place since I did not get hardly any in 2014

After lunch we were "full as a tick on a 7 day lick" and tired. We decided it was time to do a downtime attraction so we headed to Tomorrowland. Can you guess were we went?

I have once again reached my max pictures in a post.

And the first trip report she was about 10! WOW! Time really does fly, doesn't it? Your girls really are beautiful, and I remember Michelle used to dream of being Belle at WDW! One of my grandsons (in Houston) is a senior this year, and I can hardly believe it! I haven't been to WDW since Be Our Guest opened. Boo Hoo! I really enjoyed your descriptions, and I am looking forward to seeing what the new parade looks like.

Michelle would still like to be Belle. Beauty and the Beast is still "her" movie. Kids really do grow up fast. I hope you get back to Disney World soon. There is always something new to see. I loved the parade and have lots of pictures to share.

Yay for an update! Glad you guys were able to book BoG twice! We did it this past June for lunch and will do it again this next June. I thought about breakfast but too expensive and the PPO would probably all be for naught as they seem to always extend 8am openings during June anyway. Dinner might be in our future at some point though.

Yes, the strawberry cupcake is definitely the best. In my opinion, out of all the ones I tried in June, it is one of the best on property!mom had the lemon and it was good, but definitely no strawberry!

Oh and I love me some CoP but it does seem I always fall asleep there.

Love the parade spot. I think it's a VIP spot now though I could be wrong. We didn't do the daytime parade last June and we will skip it this June too, I think. Thats prime break time for us! I do remember in college, I would sleep out in the quad every single school day! Nowayicould do that now...lol.

Looking forward to more!

Totally agree it was the best.

Me too, even when I try not too.

Love the parade spot.

We loved it too. Next time I want to be at eye level.

It's amazing what we can do when we're young.

ril 4th- Magic Kingdom Part 5

Wow this day just seems to be taking forever. I promise as the trip goes on we take less pictures, except for the wedding of course. And technically we didn't take a lot of pictures but the photographer did.

So anyway it was Holy Saturday the day before Easter and we were all set to see the Festival of Fantasy Parade for our first time. Since it was the day before Easter there was some extra included in the parade.

Mr & Mrs Easter Bunny

We had to wait a bit for the rest of the parade.

This was the float I was most wanting to see.

And that was the end of the parade.

We really enjoyed seeing this for the first time. All the floats were so pretty with so many characters. I loved the Maleficent float the most. I'm glad we had a spot on the train station but if we ever get to see it again I want to be on ground level to get a different perspective.

Since we were already at the exit/entrance it was easy to get out.

I took this on our way out.

And we passed by this on our way to the resort buses.

We were soon back at the resort. We got off at the bus stop at the lobby so we could get a map. We would need it later for some of the driving we would be doing. I couldn't resist taking some more pictures of the resort.

Once we were back at the room Danielle crashed while Dennis and I did something we had never done at this resort. We went to the pool. It was very relaxing just to chill by the pool. Dennis didn't get in the water but I did, just so I could say I did. I also checked out the laundry room since I would be needing it later in the trip.

Before we knew it, it was time to go in and get freshened up for out night time plans in the Magic Kingdom. We had our first diner reservation and a FP+ for Big Thunder Mountain. We also had a surprise for Danielle. Her last surprise for this trip.

Love the photos! It looks like a wonderful parade but I'm not sure if it's wonderful enough to brace tempos that feel like 100 degrees and skipping my youngest's nap. So I'm glad to live vicariously through you! Little Mermaid reminded me of Danielle! :)

Love, love POR! Glad you guys got to relax at the pool for your break time. Interested to read all about your evening plans!

Wonderful MK day! I had to laugh at the nap under the benches. Pretty ingenious idea to hide in the shade of the seat.

FoF is such a great parade. I've never seen it from the train station before, but it looks like it'd be a cool perspective.

POR looks gorgeous. Seems to be a very relaxing and peaceful resort.

It's been a while since either of us has gotten a chance to update... (womp womp womppppp). But we've been extra busy! My mom's preparing to get her last baby up and out of high school while we are getting ready to welcome a new one! This being a Disney board, thought I'd go ahead and share how we announced. We're a Disney family, we got married in Disney, it was only fitting to announce in a Disney fashion.

Also: I have every intention of taking newborn pictures holding our baby like Simba on Pride Rock. Just Saying!

Congrats @vamassey1 and family!! That's what I thought/was hoping for when I saw you all had changed your trip plans! So very exciting and the announcement is "incredible"! :) A Disney baby on the way....

Congratulations! Very cute announcement! (Also, sorry you're battling morning sickness. That's the worst. I hope it goes away soon!)

Vaness, I just read your TR from start to finish! I am so happy I clicked on this TR!

My last trip was in February 2014 and we stayed at PORFQ. The pool was being remodeled while we were there so we swam at POR. Both are beautiful resorts. I have enjoyed seeing your photos of the resort and the boat ride to DtD. Like you, I still refer to it as DtD.

Danielle, you are one creative woman! Loved your wedding invitation and your birth announcement is fantastic! It looks like you picked the right guy for your hubby! I love that all three of you participated in the announcement! Congratulations! I am looking forward to reading more about your wedding. I am very budget conscious too and am looking forward to reading more details on your budget friendly Disney wedding. I also agree with you in that big receptions take the focus off the couple. The last few big receptions I have attended, the bride and groom never even came around to talk to their guests.

I am amazed at how your early entry photos show such a deserted MK at one of the most crowded times of the year! It is great you made such good use of the early entry time.
