So many flowers, so little time! 3/13 So many choices so little time! Food updates!

Ya know Brook, you could get to know us better in person and get in another trip too! ;) Yes, I'm an enabler!

March isn't bad! We've done it a few times and I didn't think twice about it for DD's b-day trip! The thing about spring break is it seems to be spread out over a 6 or 8 weeks so your getting the whole crowd together like you would over Christmas or Presidents Day! When DH and I were in college we never had spring break the same time as friends who went to different schools! My kids will have their spring break the week after easter, I think. But my kids spring break never matches up to the spring break of their cousins in NJ or CT!

It is VERY tempting. Maybe I'll mention it to DH...he he. With your dates he'd only have to take 2 vacation days, that's not bad at all.

Very good points about March!! I hear the weather is just awesome then too, I'm looking forward to that.

I was always nervous about spring break too but you are right they are different for all areas !! Last year our kids had a week of school after Easter and then their spring break for 2 yes 2 weeks !!!Tell me that wsn't a Teacher convenience thing !!!:rotfl2:

Great intros so far!! Can't wait to meet the rest of your gang & hear more about your plans!! :cool1:

Yikes! I am behind! Have to start planning my intro. Loved yours, Tracy, Melissa and Cynthia!! :goodvibes

I agree, the DIS has introduced me to friends I feel so very blessed to have met and I am really looking forward to this trip. :thumbsup2 On the one hand I haven't met you yet (other than Mary Ellen) but on the other hand I feel like I know you already. Does that make any sense?? :confused3

Definitely the more the merrier so if you are looking at these dates and thinking hmmm... maybe we could meet up, let us know! I have a feeling we'll be the wild women at the slushie stand. :)

Definitely loving the intros!! You ladies are so much fun!! I can't wait for C's intro!!!

I will admit that I heard about this trip from a certain lady who is currently in Disney. :rolleyes1

It sounds like so much fun!!! Can't wait to hear more. :goodvibes

Welcome home LL!

Great intros everyone!!

thanks!

Yep, Joe wants to go then - despite the spring break crowds. I'm cool with it though. We've done NYE, we can do spring break. And it might not be that bad because Easter is in April.

I'm pushing for a 3rd trip before our APs expire in September 2011 - he's anti-summer, but I'm gonna be a good wife and keep whittling him down. ::yes:: ;)

See I like May as a 3rd trip for you. :rotfl:

Although summer wasn't bad at all but we were towards the end. It is hot...

:
:woohoo::yay: I, for one, don't find your uber-planning scary! Of course, you've been reading my PTR/TR so you know where I'm at with that!
LOL! I think Mary Ellen called us planning sisters at one point....

or maybe that was change sisters....:rotfl:

:
Ya know, there's always room for 1 more ;)
Ya know Brook, you could get to know us better in person and get in another trip too! ;) Yes, I'm an enabler!

What Melissa said. Besides, I'm already bringing Cherie in my luggage! :rotfl:

Whoops! I forgot to slide in the picture of my "fur baby" Ziggy. :goodvibes He is 8 years old and likely one of the most spoiled dogs on Earth ;) I drop him off every morning for daycare at my parents house :rolleyes1 They enjoy his company and it eases my mind to know he is with someone because I work so much

Tracy

He is adorable!

I was always nervous about spring break too but you are right they are different for all areas !! Last year our kids had a week of school after Easter and then their spring break for 2 yes 2 weeks !!!Tell me that wsn't a Teacher convenience thing !!!:rotfl2:

Two back to back? UGH! I thought it was bad enough we had 1 full week in Feb and then another full week in April.

Great intros so far!! Can't wait to meet the rest of your gang & hear more about your plans!! :cool1:

Thanks Amy!

Definitely the more the merrier so if you are looking at these dates and thinking hmmm... maybe we could meet up, let us know! I have a feeling we'll be the wild women at the slushie stand. :)

Definitely!

Definitely loving the intros!! You ladies are so much fun!! I can't wait for C's intro!!!

:goodvibes

I think there must be at least 100 emails in my inbox related to this trip! :lmao:

I love that Dis can bring friends together :grouphug:

Hi Gals! I'm so excited for you all... another Friends-Only PTR... what fun!

Oh, and we know all about that avalanche of e-mails ::yes::

A teeny bit sad you aren't going in JANUARY, but glad you were able to coordinate a trip with so many great DISers!

YIKES.....I am behind, too. But that's because I just got back from a 5 night girls trip. That was a "2 girl trip" and this is going to be - 5 GIRLS (and if I read the last of my 200 emails correctly, possibly a 6th girl!).

I will have to work on my introduction as well. All I can say right now is that I am the "elder" of the group. That carries a certain responsibility. I will need to be house mother to all these wonderful ladies. Keeping them in line, enforcing curfew, making sure they get up on time - you know the drill. On my last trip My GF and I stayed in a studio. She asked me if I needed the bed because, as she put it, "you ARE older".

So, I've been thinking that this could possibly work to my advantage - 5 girls on the bus with only 1 seat - Ahhem......guess who gets senior advantage? Uhm....yup....that would be me! :worship: Yeah, I'm gonna milk this one to death!

I am very excited for this Girls Trip! I had a blast in Disney this past week. I can't wait to go back in May for more mayhem. I promise to come back later with a "real" introduction and pictures.

BTW - Melissa, Cynthia, and Tracy - Great Intros:worship::worship::worship: And Tracy - your nephew is so cute!

Ziggy is to darn cute! I love that he goes to doggy daycare at your parents house! Pluto lives the high life when we go away and he gets to go stay with MIL and FIL! MIL feeds him bacon and eggs for breakfast on Sunday mornings!

It is VERY tempting. Maybe I'll mention it to DH...he he. With your dates he'd only have to take 2 vacation days, that's not bad at all.

Very good points about March!! I hear the weather is just awesome then too, I'm looking forward to that.

Tempting, enabling, scheming! :rolleyes1

We've had really, really good luck in March! The weather is still a little fickle but we've never had any real problems!

I was always nervous about spring break too but you are right they are different for all areas !! Last year our kids had a week of school after Easter and then their spring break for 2 yes 2 weeks !!!Tell me that wsn't a Teacher convenience thing !!!:rotfl2:

I think it's spaced out enough that it's really not too bad! I'm curious what the week before and after Easter are like though!

Great intros so far!! Can't wait to meet the rest of your gang & hear more about your plans!! :cool1:

Thanks!

I totally agree with already feeling like we know each other even though we haven't actually met yet! It's going to be great to to finally met you next month!

This trip is going to be sooooo much fun! I really can't wait! I definitely think we're going tobe the wild women at the slushie stand!

Thanks Jen! Perhaps there will need to be one more ;)

:cool1: Welcome home MaryEllen!!!

Well, if your the "elder" member of the group I'm pretty sure I'm the "baby" of the group! What advantages does that pose for me?! Of course, if we do end up with another member of the group she is younger then me ;)

Hi All......My Name is Mary Ellen and I am a member of the cast for this trip. I just got back from a girl's trip and it was fabulous. I was originally planning to go in May with two or three of my soccer mom friends. I had mentioned a trip to them last year and it was a go until one of them discovered that the original dates of the trip coincided with the states for track. Even with some date adjustments no one seemed too keen on traveling in May with it being so close to high school graduation. Well, my home friends may not want to travel in May, but I still do....Lucky for me there was some enabling going on in Melissa's TR and the next thing I know - pixiedust: GIRL'S TRIP!

Here's me in May. I'm the one on the left. As you can see I made it to the Flower and Garden festival, but I missed about 2/3rds of Epcot so I am ready for a F&G do-over.....

Image0022.jpg

May 2011 will actually be my 14th trip to Disney World. Can you believe it????? The funny thing is my first trip was in 2002, so I am averaging 1.7 trips a year. I purchased DVC in fall 2007 and I have an annual pass. I feel very fortunate to be a 2hr plane ride away from the world. The only thing better than that would be a 2hr car ride from the world.

Here's a picture of my two boys (from our June 09 trip)......

DisneyJune2009239.jpg

My boys are in the middle....Brian on the left and Nicholas on the right. On the far right is my nephew LJ and on the far left is Brian's friend.

Here's Brian and Nick this summer at the OBX.....

Here's the Denster and I last September on our 20th anniversary trip....

Of course, I have a few fur babies, too.

This is fat Kismet. I also call her keemie, keemo, and fat girl. She doesn't eat that much, but she's clearly my biggest cat......

IMG_1378.jpg

This is Jewel. I also call her Jeweler, Jewel-bean, and beaner

IMG_1289.jpg

Last, but not least, is Max. I call him Maxer and Maxie pad. I know, that last name is kind-of weird, but my cats are used to being called multiple versions of their original name.

IMG_1300.jpg

My cats are all rescued. I adopted them all as adult cats. Well, actually Jewel adopted us. We found her one December when it was 10 degrees out. We had no choice but to save her.

So that's me! I work as a Nurse practitioner and I am very involved in my church's music ministry. I am also a soccer mom and I love to take pictures...... the more the better.

So stick around as we make resort reservations and dining reservations. All I can say is TGI Melissa and Cynthia since they are the Uber Planners and I am just along for the ride and to nod agreeably from time to time.

Curfews? Giving up seats on the bus? Keeping us in line? Good luck with that last one!! :rotfl: I am going to be the rebellious one
I have many names for Ziggy too!!! Zigster, Ziggles, Zigfried, and sometimes I speak to him in his native German tongue! :rotfl2: I forgot you have a cat named Jewel....I had a cat named Jewels :thumbsup2

Tracy

Loving the Intros so far and the fur babies! Can't wait to see what you four have planned for next.

I love, love, LOVE that all you girls are going on a trip all about all of YOU!!! All you Spectrum moms going in January are included in that great big show of affection!!  Although, I am envious of BOTH your trips, and I really hope we can coordinate a GIANT DIS GAL meet between us all one day ( or week!)! :goodvibes
