So many closed rides... Will it affect crowds?

We are going June 18th which is a Wednesday. I noticed several rides are going to be closed for refurbishments then. Two big ones being space mountain and Matterhorn. Since those are popular, will their closures affect crowds?

NO, IMHO it will not, especially for the out of states guests that planned their vacation many months in advance.

The effects I would expect would be for the lines to be a bit longer at Indy and Big Thunder and for their fastpasses (and probably Star Tours fastpasses) to run out sooner than might be expected were Space and Matterhorn running.

I will be there the same week, but i thought the Matterhorn won't be closed until August.

Matterhorn will not be closed. On DLR website down rides on June 18 are: Space Mountain, Nemo, Alice, Captain EO, Grizzly River. I think it will still be pretty busy all summer. Many people plan a year plus in advance for a vacation like Disneyland. What may help lower crowds is that on June 18 local passes are blocked, so only those with Deluxe & Premium can visit.

Hardly anything is closed now.. You missed a few weeks ago when there were actually so many closed rides.
