Went to son's last soccer game, we had a picnic and the award presentation right after on the field. Beautiful sunny day and I happily snapped away during game, each player getting their little trophy. Just got home and realize I didn't have a card in the camera :sad2:

At one point in time, I must've changed my no CF shooting option!! I'm kicking myself right now. It was a very sunny day so I didn't even review the pictures on the field, I just kept snapping away.

I'm so mad at myself:mad:

Oh no!!!! I'm sorry, that really stinks!

The first thing I did when I got my DSLR, was to change to the NO CF NO SHOT option (whatever it's called) as I've been guilty of this before. Sorry, I can relate with how much that sucks.

I have not don ethat with a CF card, but I did that on my old 35mm SLR with manual film loading. I di dnot get the film loaded quite right, grr. I feel your pain.

I got to meet Stan Lee, he agreed to pictures (even though they said no pictures), me and my buddy, stan lee in the middle, arms around each other, big smiles, and the film in my buddies borrowed slr doesn't advance...

I feel your pain!

I sort-of did that on our last WDW trip with my film SLR, the film wasn't quite wound onto the sprocket all the way and I didn't think that it felt just right, but I wasn't 100% sure... so I ended up shooting off a full roll's worth of photos then deciding that it must not be right as I should have hit the end of the roll by then. Finally opened the back, and sure enough, the film was still where it was when I loaded it... grr... one little adjustment and it was loaded fine, but in the meantime, a bunch of photos that were never recorded.

Digital cameras: Have enough cards in your possession so the camera is never without a card. Or leave the hatch on the bottom open when there is no card inside.

Older film cameras: Observe that the rewind crank turns when you advance the film.
