So I've decided to rent a car instead of DCL shuttle...

After much debating, and help from The Disers I've decided that renting two, one way rentals from budget is the way to go.

I have maybe a silly ? though, since it's been about 20 years since I've rented a car!!

For our rental that we need from ASMo to PC, Budget picks us up at the hotel? Do we do all the paperwork right there, or do they bring you to thier office? If so, how long does all this take? I'm thinking I'd leave my husband and girls with all the baggage, take care of the car and come back for them.

And for our return rental, I know there's the booths at the airport when you're picking up the car. But when returning, are there clearly marked signs so I know where to go when I get to the airport to park the car?

I'm not sure of the procedures, so if someone can help, I would so appreciate it!!!

Yes, they will pick you up at the resort but, you need to call them atleast an hour in advance (I call 24 hrs just to be on the safe side). It's easiest to take your confirmation # with you but, not a must. It usually takes about a 45 minutes including travel time.

As for the return to the airport I am directionally challenged and I have never had a problem!

There are road signs at the airport marked "rental car return" or something like that. The rental lots are duplicated for each on-airport rental company on both sides of the airport main terminal so you choose your side (A or B) first.

Watch carefully for signs on the highway warning of toll booths. At some toll plazas you must take what looks like an exit ramp if you pay tolls using cash. I personally suggest using the non-exact change lanes and asking for a receipt.
