Do you, Dan? :)

Which of the three do you like the best?

My fave will always be the original Star Wars - wow, what a rush that movie was when it first came out.

We're watching #1 right now.

I got a price match from Circuit City with a Compusa circular.

I DO I DO, went to Wal-Mart last night and picked it up, watching it now as a matter of fact! I am watching "The Empire Strikes Back" AGAIN, that one is my favorite!!!

I also have the OTHER box sets (VHS) regular and special edition

I actually had it in my hands today when my DS "15" tells me ...don't buy it mom...I'll give it to you for Christmas!

So, I guess I get to wait til Christmas! LOL

 Isn't that like sacreligious or something? :p

yep I have them.
I have only watched A New Hope.
My thoughts on that one.
The picture is so sharp and clear. I remember watching ol grainy movies that had been shown millions of times.

I also noticed you can now hear the engines of the death star in background.

James Earl Jones' name now shows up in the credits

I hate the cantina scene where Han now "ducks" out of the way of Greedo's laser.

LOL, I was thinking too that the sound is MUCH sharper, so much so that I can ALMOST understand what Chewbaka is TRYING to say :p

I suffered through one a few years ago- No desire to see the rest...

Needless to say I didnt get the set :)

I'm with you! No interest in it at all.

Not yet..I have to be good for a couple of months. Maybe I will get one from Santa.:sunny:

We do. My husband made a special trip into town on Tuesday to buy it (he worked all night Mon night, had to wait for store to open at 10am 20 miles from home and had to work all night Tuesday night- he was off on Wednesday but he just could not wait 1 more day :D ) He also purchased the new Star Wars game, but he wished he would have just rented it as it is too easy.

That being said- I am not a Star Wars fan. Only 1 I saw as a child was the one with the Ewoks and thought it was completely silly, so I don't have any nostalgia for the series. My husband however loves them all. I did really enjoy The Phantom Menace. I have watched the others by "force" (haha) and they were okay, and the one with the Ewoks makes more sense now having seen the others. I will watch them on DVD, maybe I will come away with a new appreciation.

Dh had to run to Walmart and pick them up on Tuesday morning :D . I don't think I've seen these all the way through :o . The newer ones we went to see in the theater.

Yep, got it yesterday at Costco.

I couldn't wait for the DVDs and got myself the laserdisc box set off of ebay last year. I understand there are several differences between the two. Now I'm glad that I bought them!

Suzanne
Psst...don't tell the kids we have them yet!

I bought the set yesterday, and tonight after dinner we all sat down and started to watch Episode IV. After about an hour, one by one we all got up and left to do something else. LOL

I was in high school when it came out in 1977, and I didn't see it until my DS who is now 16 wanted to see it in the movie theater when it was re-released all those years ago. LOL I still have to have my DH explain parts of it to me. Yet, the "newer" episodes (I and II) I have no trouble following those! :yo-yo:

I havent gotten mine yet, but my birthday is coming up and I better have a copy soon! :teeth:

When I first saw Star Wars in the theater... I left thinking anything was posible.

My DH did the pre-order at Toys R Us and had me go get them yesterday morning as he was afraid they would sell out. I kept trying to tell them with the pre-order that they should be holding one for us but noooooooooooo, I had to go in as soon as the store opened and pick it up!

We have watched Ep IV and V, just have VI to go tomorrow and then onto the bonus disc.

Bought mine on Tuesday afternoon:D Have only had enough time to watch all but the last 20 minutes of "A New Hope".
