It's usually spelled "hearkening." But, yes, I was yelling at my phone too whilst listening to the podcast, LOL!

Ahh! Thanks, that might be why I couldn't get much of an answer from Google.

Yeah I was yelling at my radio in my car too because I knew it wasn't harping but Dustin was just so sure he was right and the others were ridiculous for thinking it was hearkening (my phone just tried to auto correct that to heartening)

harken means "to listen". Hence "Hark! The herald angels sing!"

I've heard the phrase "harken back". I don't think I've ever heard "harkening back"
