I didn't say I stayed up until 1am to book resorts, ADR's, or flights...I said I try to book them as soon as I can so I can get what I want. As far as FP goes, I believe my chances are better if I book them the first night. I mentioned earlier in this thread it would only be midnight for me so it's no big deal.
But, when it comes to resorts, ADRs or flights, your "as soon as I can" is measured in days, not minutes or hours, correct?
That was my point. For me, when I see a flight I want, I try to book it in the next couple days. If there's a resort deal I want, I book it in a day or two, after discussing it with the family. I don't wait weeks, because obviously it might be gone. But I also don't jump on the deal in the first hour it becomes available. I've (almost!) never had an issue getting the flights, resorts or ADRs I want, days or even weeks later. The one time I tried getting on at 7am to book BOG the first day it became available for everyone, I regretted it - the phone lines were down, wait times were stupidly long, and I didn't get in. On the other hand, the nice lady on the phone booked us for Cinderella's Castle (because people were dropping their ressies there to get into BOG so there were lots available), so that was great!
In any case, it's all good. I woke up at 8am, chose my FPs over breakfast, and got everything I wanted. Could even have booked Anna and Elsa, if we'd been so inclined (but we weren't). If staying up until midnight is no big deal for you, that's great! Planning is fun and picking FPs is an event (or at least it is for me). I totally get the desire to do it as soon as possible. After all, I'd been looking forward to it myself for several days! But staying up until midnight is a big deal for me, as I normally am in bed between 10 and 11.
