at WDW. You couldn't pay me to stand in that crowd at midnight. Kudos to those who can!

Happy New Year!

You know, my DH mentioned not wanting to be at NY for NYE - but I think I could be in WDW for NYE! I wouldn't even have to be in a park for it - just on property would be fine!

I was on property last year but we were back at the hotel. 2 kids will do that to ya. haha

I'm right there with you Matt, I said I wouldn't go for NYE if it were free , but probably not even if you paid me either!

Just got home and we had a blast!!! It was so much fun, the fireworks were AMAZING!

We rode Big Thunder Mountain 6 times in a row right before closing. :rotfl:

It was very crowded but a really great night! :teeth:

We were in MGM for NYE 2003 and we had to grab our spot on the pavement in front of the Sorcerer's Hat for the entertainment and fireworks at about 7:00pm. By about 8:30pm, it was jammed with people. I had a great time while in the "World" from Xmas to New Years but boy it was crowded. What a great event but I think next time we will go down around the Xmas holidays to see the decorations and make sure to get out before the crowds hit.

We were in the MK for NYE2004, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. The entire day was so much fun, and the crowds really weren't an issue for us at all. DH and I kept telling each other that we can't wait until the kids are older so we can bring them along. The midnight fireworks were out of this world. Can't wait to do this again some day... :goodvibes

One of my good friends lives in Tampa and called us last night from the Grand Floridian. She just loves to rub it in. She said that the atmosphere at the resort was simply electric.

Does anyone know if they did any live feeds on Dick Clark's NY's Rockin' Eve from any of the parks? We were curious as we heard the crowd just explode with applause and cheers at different points in the night.

There were very brief shots of both Disney World and Disneyland. Very, very brief, I could have use much more. I love being at Disney Christmas week and New Year's Eve.
