I was happy to find out no duty taxes on art So who ratted me out on the big purchase? DCL or my CC? I'll never know.

it was quite the production. The head officer of retail had to come down and approve the transaction. The poor store CM was bummed his favorite piece was leaving. He offered to carry it to our cabin.
Well customs was another story. I was scanning off ship then I was told I had to wait till customs could come over. Note: I did declare this on my customs form. I was pulled over for a special inspection in customs.

yes I did It was several thousand under the price I just saw at MK right before the cruise. From what I read I basically got it at cost level. They wanted to clear it out for a new "big" center piece on the Dream.
Nice. I'm not a collector of anything except junk my dh won't throw out. All my disposable income goes to travel . I do have about a dozen original Hummel figurines that my great grandmother bought on a ship in the early 1900's. Somewhere in Europe he was in the military World War I. They are worth some money. I'll never sell them. I'll just pass them on. If your great great granddaughter inherits something in 100 years that you bought on a Dinsey ship it will be pretty cool for her.
