from the looks of it, I'm almost positve it's skin cancer. I'm off to the doctor to get it looked at. Please keep me in your prayers. I'm not good with pain or needles or stuff like that.
Thanks.

Keeping you in my prayers. Keep us posted.

You're definitely in my prayers, but hold on to a good hope. I had a spot on my wrist that I was sure was cancer. The doctor took one look at it and said, "Nope". She didn't even test it.

She did however look at a spot on my face that I hadn't given much thought to. She was concerned and tested it and I sweated it out for a few days. Good news... even that spot was not cancer.

Even if it is cancerous, many skin cancers are easily treated and not nearly as dangerous as you fear.

Best wishes to you! Please let us know how it goes at the doctor's.

Good luck, and try not to worry too much. Dh had a spot we were sure was cancerous, but it was called a raised capillary.

Hang in there! It might just be an ugly mole, and I certainly hope it is. I have a big one on my neck that I had a doctor look at. She took one look and declared it was not any kind of cancer. She was willing to remove the whole thing saying she could justify it on my insurance, but I was too scared.

I did go back a year later and had her cut off all the skin tags I developed in pregnancy. I didn't feel a thing when she clipped them off. She numbed them first with little shots of Novocaine, so I kept my eyes closed the whole time. I didn't feel a thing, but I would have gone crazy if I saw the needle and clippers coming at me.

So seriously. Keep your eyes closed, and you'll be fine.

You're in my thoughts for sure. I have a mole on my back, one day I woke up with a white circle around it. I was so sure it was skin cancer, the doc assured me it was fine after squeezing and poking it (sorry for the visual) so you just never know. Also, my dad has had skin cancer countless times and each time the area was taken care of and he's doing fine so try not to hurt yourself with worry.

I'm praying for you and hope it is something that can be fixed in the doctor's office.

Of course you are in my prayers. Please try not to worry though. My DH had these things on his face so the Dr sent him to the dermatologist. She removed them and tested them but told him that they were not cancer. He still gets one and she removes it.

Hang in there! Could be anything at this point. Wishing you good luck with the doctor. And, you're in my prayers.

If you are still here - take heart!
It is common for these things one the side of the head/scalp to be a benign situation. I think it is called keretosis?????

(I have even heard of OTC treatments that may help the skin to grow underneath and then lose/reject the discolored spot.

Here's good wishes and prayers that this is all it is. :goodvibes

i had the thing biposied this morning and boy, I'm good. I had it pegged. the dermo said that he's about 95% sure it's a basal cell carcinoma. I'm a little sore right now, but honestly it wasn't the torturous catastrophe that I thought it would be. if it is basal cell, they'll cut it out and monitor it. Thanks for the words of encouragement and the prayers. They really mean a lot.

Prayers are with you!
My mom was diagnosed 12 years ago with BCC, had hers removed, and has been fine ever since. Here's hoping yours is the same. :grouphug::flower3:

 Good that you got it taken care of LoriAnn. Prayers for a quick recovery. Blessings to you always.
