So I have been thinking about the calendar swap

And what other alternatives there might be. I am concerned that we wouldn't be able to get very creative with the CD calendar because they have to be double sided with flat embellies, and I think most of us like the flashy thick fluffy type embellies :)

So I was thinking of maybe a calendar page kit swap... where each person would have a month, and you would have to create a topper/title, mats, tags, etc to go with that month (Disney-themed or regular themed) and then you would receive all 12 months back so you can adhere to a blank calendar template (scrapbook stores sell these ready-to-decorate, or make your own).

You then add your own pictures and hang it up or give as a gift.

Any thoughts?

This sounds great -- would we be doing elements for a 12x12 calendar? 8x8? I'd like 12x12, personally, 'cause it gives the most flexibility for elements and how to use them. When are planning to host this? I don't want to miss out!!!

didn't Target have some blank calendars?? I would be willing to see if they have any and mail them out to everyone.

This sounds more user friendly to me.
The CD case was cute, but I wouldn't ever really use it.
A wall calendar I would definitely use.

This sounds good to me. I'm going to try and make some of these ahead of time to give to my parents and MIL so that I can just send a pic each month of the little one and they can put it up. So this us right up my alley.

That sounds great! I was a bit worried how to do everything so neat and tiny:rotfl2:

If I send the extra $$ could you mail me one of the calendars (whoever hosts) when the swap returns please? Otherwise I'll have to order it from there anyway and I bet their cheaper in Target than swap stores ;-)

Cool! I am going to start a signup list right now... I was going to say signups on Oct 1st, but I always get slammed at work at the beginning of the month, so this would be better... the mailing due date would be November 19th, with a return date of November 26th. This is around Thanksgiving so I am hoping we don't have a massive slowdown with holiday mail already. I am on the West coast so you have to account for extra mail time from the East. I should have started this sooner, sorry... we will only have about 7 weeks to complete -- but I want to make sure everyone gets them back in time to assemble for Christmas gifts :)

I am going to go for 12x12 sizing, I think, unless there is a demand for a different size.

Look for the signup post soon!

If I can't find the blank calendars then we could always leave enough room to punch holes and run ribbon through them.

Mazda they were in the dollar spot so if I find them I will ship it off right away.

I was thinking people could create their own blank calendars... you can print a blank (there are tons on the internet) on 8.5 x 11 paper and adhere to the 12x12 cardstock. If there are places in the UK that do coil binding (I know Staples does here), then you can have the finished pieces bound together.

I just bought one at Target in the $1 spot on Saturday... (it's 12x12)
