How does everybody here feel about those people that try to sell the event pins on Ebay, before they even get them?

In my opinion if Disney keeps seeing what these pins are going for... the price will just keep going up. And its just not fair for the rest of the people that can't make it to the events.

Not wanting to start a war just curious how everybody feels about it. Remember I'm new at this. Pinboys a pro I'm new.

........yup, that's me; hard to believ a person can be both--one of the reasons I drive myself crazy!!

Part of me (the cynic) knows that Disney is obviously just in this for the money; it's an absolutely brilliant merchandising goldmine, that they just happened to stumble on! And I know how much they love making money, so part of me says "you're right; they're going to just keep raising the prices to see how far they can go". But, the idealist in me says, "but, surely there must be some brilliant Harvard or Yale grad on their staff that will tell them if you raise the price you will price yourself right out of the market, and that part of what makes this such a huge phenomena is that it's Disney "artwork" that EVERYONE can afford--and allows everyone the opportunity to collect and settle in at the dollar level they can afford--the people that can afford $6500 at auction, and the person who can buy a souvenir at the park, and the rest of us at all levels in between. But, am I too idealistic??? Most of the time I've found the people at the top don't have a clue as to what the people "down below" are thinking or how they operate. There's that cynic rearing her head!!

What's everybody else think?

I think Disney already has found the answer........DISNEY AUCTIONS.
Where else can they truly enforce the first law of economics.....Supply and Demand.
They offer a Dutch Auction of a LE of 100 pins and let the buyers decide how much they are willing to pay for it.
