So I applied for a PI....

First off, I've been extremely excited about this since the day I submitted the application online. Been a dream to work for Disney since I was a kid and now there is a slim chance that it could actually happen.

So two weeks ago a friend told me that their was an Engineering PI for spring 2011. I jumped right on it got my resume and cover letter together and submitted the application one day before the deadline. I found out about it maybe 3 days before so I had to work fast. I met with advisors, Professional Engineers I've worked with and many others going over my resume and cover letter. I even was able to get a few great recommendation letters to throw into the mix. I really wanted to throw everything I had at this because it would be such a great opportunity to get this experience.

So to the question... I was wondering if I was too late to find out about it and apply for the it. I got it in the night before the deadline and it will be approaching the two week mark soon. Was I too late? or do they take some time to get back to you? Any info regarding how long they take to get back to you would be awesome so thanks in advance and good luck to anyone else out there.

I don't know much about the engineering PIs, but Disney works on it's own time schedule...some people hear back almost right away, some hear back a month or 2 later. It all depends on the department and the time u applied. I've even had a friend not get called at all and then a week before the PI started, they called him and said someone backed out and they wanted to hire him. On average though, most people hear back within a month or so.
