Looking at the 5 day cone, it appears (right now anyway), that this system will be a slow mover, heading in FL's direction on Friday.

This won't make me cancel my trip at all, just wondering what you FL folks are hearing about this system, if anything yet.

Weather.com is saying just keep an eye on it. weatherunderground shows that potential path as does NHC.

Any comments...I arrive Oct. 26 and just want to arrive! If I have to have ponchos...so be it.

Yes, we're hearing about it....and it bears watching. However, it would under no circumstances change my travel plans to WDW. You are ten days out...this storm should be long gone by then. However, even if I was coming in on the 20-22nd, I would just watch it and adjust my flights accordingly. Still though, the long range track is not known at this time.

Oh no! I just asked my husband yesterday if there had been any TS out there that may affect our trip. I forgot to check. We will be going down Oct.29th. I just don't want it to rain everyday we are there. I'll have to go check out weather.com and see what they are saying.

I certainly am NOT cancelling no matter what! I just figured FL folks would probably have more regular information than anything I can find on the internet.

The storm should be long gone by the 29th...that's nearly two weeks away! And no long term weather forecast is accurate that far out anyway.

Hmm... I am supposed to fly in next Saturday morning..

I may need to watch this one!

we are headed down on the 29th also. The problem I am seeing is that a pressure system is causing it to stall in the carribean, and that it won't be in the Gulf until next weekend. Should hit in maybe??? 10/11 days. I worry more about being on the coast and preparing our home/jobs. I think you will be ok for the 29th.

I just read about TS Wilma this morning and am now totally freaked out (but I am known for being a bit overly-worried about things). We leave Friday morning (the 21st) for a long, long-awaited trip. I'll be crushed if we can't get out or have a ton of rain/bad wind our first few days. You can bet I'll be watching this one closely! Those Floridians out there...keep us posted!

Just checked weather.com and it looks like rain on Fri ,sat 21 and 22nd but sunny and no rain 23-25th. That is all they have for the 10 day forecast. Looks okay to me. We fly in on Sat the 22nd in the late afternoon. I think we will be okay!!

We leave next Friday afternoon (10/21). I too am a worrier but have decided not to worry so much...if it is rainy at the parks, so what? That is what ponchos are for, and there will be fewer people. As long as we can land at MCO and get to POR, the rest will take care of itself.

Let's hope for everyone's sake though that this storm breaks up and goes away. There has been enough for one season!

I just checked accuweather and weather.com. All are saying that sunny and should be no problems. But in case there is, we might be the ones that will not be happy. WE live in TX and since we are visiting my dad and coming in to West Palm Beach, there is only 1 flight out per day......But if we can make it past that and actually fly off and land, then we will be able to drive to see Mickey and friends.

The current 5 day cone includes the Florida peninsula. We'll have to keep an eye on it. It also is forcasted to be a hurricane by Tuesday according to NOAA.

Well....It looked good for a while, but as we know things can change quickly in the Tropical Atlantic!

We're flying down Friday night and I'm hoping this TS doesn't turn in to much either!! Bad weather ALWAYS seems to follow us on our vacations!! :confused3 I'll try to think positively this week!! :sunny:

Away and doesn't effect your trip.Hope you have a safe and magical trip. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

We also arrive on Oct. 26 (for 10 days), so will be thinking about you too! All we can do is monitor the situation and keep tabs of your airlines and any changes they may have. When hurricane Isabel was approaching the Wash. DC area a couple of years ago (or was it last year??), the airlines where offering people to get out a day early with no pentalies and we took advantage of it. Good luck to all of you that might be affected by Wilma!! (Btw, I don't ever remember the hurricanes getting to the end of the list, so wondering if there will be a Hurricane Alpha??)

We are also arriving early on the 26th and like you will be happy to get there and not have my flight affected. Once there I will deal with whatever....the website I check regularly says it looks to be taking a Charley path but of course way to early to tell for sure. They say maybe hitting Florida around the Tampa area as a cat 1 on Friday. I just hope whenever it hits it is weak....the entire gulf coast and Florida have had to deal with enough.....go away Wilma.!!!!!

Be safe everyone!!! :grouphug:

We leave early morning on the 19th and will be there till the 25th. Currently the 5 day cone is showing a possibiliy of tropical storm conditions on Saturday.

That would REALLY suck ... but there is no turning back now ... it is Disney or Bust !!

Cheers,
Norma

We're arriving Oct 28th. I know it should be gone by then but I'm worried about another popping up - what a year!

But we're not cancelling no matter what either.

Good luck everyone.

We are flying down on the 27th for a week. We are watching this storm closely too. GO AWAY WILMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
