So how is the best way to renew our AP's in this situation?

OK- so we purchased 4 AP's (premium) last year with the deal. We activated them Dec 21 2012 so they will soon expire. My dh and I are going to WDW on January 9th. Should we just renew our passes or buy new AP's. If I just renew- are they good one year from that date?

My daughters will not be going on another trip until April 2014 so I assume it would be a better deal to purchase two new AP's with DVC discount.

Last and final question...with the MB and FP+.... do I need to have this all done 60 days in advance to get my FP reservations?? I guess my question will be that for my January date if my pass is set to expire and I have not renewed yet...will they let me make a FP+ reservation for January?

April 2014 is during Easter so is it best to purchase my daughter's annual pass vouches more than 60 days prior to our trip to make sure we have enough time to get our FP+ ressies?

The value of buying an AP is all about the numbers. Count the number of days that you will be going into the parks during the year period. Compare the cost of the AP to discounted tickets from an authorized ticket seller.
You might also consider AP discounts but many of those are available to DVC members without AP's

As far as MB and FP+, they are still in test and development and nobody can give an accurate answer

Thanks for the info. I found what I was looking for. It seems that it would be best for us to all just buy new AP with the DVC discount...with a trip booked in January, April and Decembr 2014.

I linked my Ap's to MDE....so not sure it will let me use FP+ or not for January....we shall see.

With it being me and dh we may just wing it and not deal with the stress. Hopefully they will have all the glitches figured out by April!

I renew my family's annual passes every Dec for our week in Dec and week in Jan. I could only make fast passes for four out of seven days. I asked member services if I renew 30 days before expiration date can I make other three days fast passes. She said they are having problems with it so I should renew when I get there. So I have to hope I can get fast passes a few days before park entry. It also makes me have to only make fast passes for Jan only a few weeks before that trip. This will happen every year.

If your December 2014 trip will end by 12/21/14 it would be cheaper to get renewals....even for your daughters.

If you have a trip planned that will encompass any day between 12/21/14 and 1/9/15 it would be better to buy new.
