It makes it worthwhile when you only pay a smidgen for the flight.
If it was only a smidgen, I'd probably just suck it up. But I just checked in early December between Air Canada/Rouge and Westjet for the same days and Rouge is $100 more per person. And Westjet has more convenient times, friendlier personnel, more leg room and more overhead baggage storage for carryons. If they're going to be a discount airline, they should charge discount prices not just provide a discount experience.
