Got word that the LSS had some flooding - great - hopefully, not in the area/room where the castle is.... It's still there, since she still has product on it and it will need to be dismantled for moving it, once that stuff is sold. Ugggghhhh...!

Crap! It isn't sounding good for my castle! The scrap shop did sustain flooding and the owner and her family had to wade through ankle deep water (somewhere in the shop, but don't know if it was the whole shop) the other day trying to rescue things before being ordered to leave due to the electrical dangers. She has not been able to go back inside to check for damage since, but will when she gets the ok.

She did say she hoped the castle was fine, and if not, she'd refund me. Literally, what a mess for her...I feel badly that she is having to go through all of this only weeks before having to close down her business.

Fingers crossed...I want my castle!

Brought it home tonight! DH is still muttering to himself that he should not have caved in...it is kinda big and heavy, even broken down into pieces. (Gulp!)

There was only a tiny bit of water damage on the very bottom of the base (just a bit of the particle board is swelled in a small area) and that is invisible when looking at the castle, since that part is covered by the slatwall sides anyway.

It will have to stay in pieces for a while, until we either renovate the basement or push children out of the nest (!) to steal their bedrooms for our use...bwah ha ha ha!

I'm so happy!!!

Thanks! I am so excited to finally really have it here - even if it is in pieces scattered from the basement to the attic!

I found another one online here but it is A LOT more than I paid for mine (I paid less than half that - AND got 50 of the acrylic paper trays tossed in!) You'll have to scroll down the site a tiny bit to see the castle.

Also, scrolling down a little bit farther on this other site, I see the spinning wooden medium sized Slat Towers for $225 each - I got two of these in the same sale as the castle, but again, only paid a fraction of that price!

I simply couldn't pass up these deals - I'm so weak! (And cheap.) (And broke.)
