So Happy! Pandora World of Avatar!

That's so exciting!! I love the looks of Pandora and can't wait until I am able to visit. I hope that you enjoy your trip :)

I can't wait to walk in the land! Tomorrow I saw that ABC Good morning America, the view, the chew and Nightline (I think that's the name of the show) lol I have my DVR set for them....
BTW I just started a post in trip reports check it out :)

I would love to get on one of the rides but after the opening of Frozen with a 4 hours wait time.... I'll keep my expectations low so if we do I'll be SUPER EXCITED!

Is this an exaggeration or was it really a 4 hour wait time for Frozen? I'm going to be at Animal Kingdom in June and so hoping that it won't be a 4 hour wait time.

I'm sure 240 minute mid-day wait times will not be unusual for the Banshee ride. But lines dont start the day at 240min and usually don't end the day with actual times that long.
Part of Frozen's problem was operational break-downs that greatly reduced capacity.

Even with FPs, twice we forego Frozen ride because the wait time was just too crazy long. Finally this December and January we have seen it, with FPs and acceptable waits.

"The ride proved so popular on its opening day today that at one point the wait time reached a mind-boggling 300 minutes"
From what I found on the web...

According to some rumors, the Banshee ride will have 4 separate theatres so hopefully even if they have a technical problem with one they can just reduce the capacity instead of shutting it down completely. Also, there are 2 new rides and a walkthrough this time, so crowds should spread more eavenly.

Excited for you! Can't wait to hear about it. We just got back a couple of days ago. I was thrilled just to be able to see Rivers of Light. Won't be back until November again.

I am managing to squeak a weekend trip in then and my adult son is coming with me. I don't have enough DVC points left for the stay so I booked us at a moderate resort.

We are hoping to ride both rides and check out the land too. I figure we can take turns for bathroom breaks and getting snacks if necessary. Plus I'll bring some in with me too.

I told him it's going to be insane but at least we'll be there! I was in the Magic Kingdom on the official opening day of New Fantasyland too so it's cool that I can swing going for the opening of Pandora as well.
