So frustrating when the store is out of the sale item!

If your coupon was for bathroom cleaner and you were buying all purpose cleaner the cashier was right.

As for rainchecks, they work better at cvs, they give you the extra care bucks when you redeem it. Usually walgreens and rite aid don't.

I think this is a little unfair. Especially when it comes to stores like Rite Aid and CVS. I am a couponer(not extreme in any way) and I often buy 4 of one item to stock up. Many times taking 4 items off a shelf at RA or CVS is clearing the shelves. These stores need to stock their shelves better. But I think if they are willing to give rain checks, that is a good compromise.

Yes - I agree - they should stock more than 4. However I stated I was talking about extreme couponers. Since you say you are not one - my comment doesn't apply to you. I know people that it doesn't matter HOW many the store stocks - whether 4 or 45 they will find a way to buy them all.

This is the problem with the extreme couponing - those that go in and buy everything off the shelf kinda ruin it for those of us who just want to get a good deal on a couple of items.

I really only get frustrated with extreme couponers at CVS. CVS limits the quantities you buy and there is only supposed to be one card per household or per customer. When someone is checking out with 4-5 CVS cards and does multiple transactions of the same item, it does aggrivate me because he/she feels as if it's ok to break the rules. That is the kind of extreme couponer that clears the shelves around here,
