So frustrated with ADR!!!!!!!!!

Called this morning to see when I could start calling to make my reservations. I keep getting different answers.

When I booked my reservation I was told August 14
First thing this morning I was told August 7
Called back to check and was told today if I had my reservation number. I didn't and when I called back.............guess what August 17th
Called again ...........August 7th
One last check..............just out of curiousity to see if I would get a different answer-------------August 17th.

Really gives you a lot of confidence doesn't it. When I expressed my frustration she left me on hold for about 5 minutes and came back and said that she was sorry but that is was August 17th. Checked on this sight and that is what it says. My worry is that they will let other people book early and than by Aug 17th all the ones I was really hoping for will be gone.

Hi Nancy, I totally understand what you are going through!!! I am going through the exact same thing right now. When I booked our vacation, they told me August 8th. Last week I called and they told me August 6th. I called back a few days later and I was told August 2nd. So, I called August 3rd and was told August 8th. Honestly, I'd really love to know what "system" each CM is using to find a date to call back on. Oh, this morning I called and got a CM that let me make reservations for 3 days (we will be there for 10 days) and then she said the computer wouldn't let her book anymore beond that. If you can, I would keep calling them if I were you. All you need is for the "right" CM to answer the phone! Good luck!
 
:cloud9: :banana: :cheer2: We are leaving November 3 for WDW and I called this morning, which was my 90 window, and made all of my dining reservations. I started with Nov. 3 and went through all 7 days of our vacation. The CM asked me for my reservation # and hotel I was staying at and allowed me to book all of my dining plans. She was very nice. I was able to get CRT for lunch on Monday, Nov. 7. Good luck and please keep trying. I hope this helps you to determine when you should start calling. :dog2: :dog: :wave:
 
I just called at 90 days, and was told that if you're staying in a Disney Resort, you can make PSs 100 days out. The CM said they had just changed it recently.

I can't seem to post it as a new thread, and I've tried a few times. Probably the Mac....
 

I can confirm the same thing. I was told they are giving a 10 day window to guests staying on property. I was also told this just changed about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Don't know how accurrate that is, but that is what I was told.

Yes, but it's still 90 days from the first day of your reservation....and then up to 10 days beyond that (or 100 days). You still can't call 10 days early....If today was the 90 day window....then you could do for the remainder of your trip (or 10 days, whichever is appropriate). Of course you have to be staying on property and give your reservation number. I think this has been in place for several weeks now.
 
I checked with my TA to confirm that it is indeed 90 before the day you check in, and she said yes that is correct. I do not understand the confusion over this. 90 days before you check in is very simple, or am I missing something in my math?
 
I have been reading this thread and thought I should call to see when I could make ADR for CRT for Nov. 12 (my oldest son's birthday). After some confusion(CM thought I said Oct. 12) I was able to get an 8:15 ADR since it was day 99. :banana: Thanks to this thread I called tonight and got the ADR we wanted the most. :cool1: :cool1:
 
Hummm, just a thought. I made my ressie through AAA. Does Disney Dining have that conformation#? Just wondering. I don't call until Sept. so have time to find out.
 
I also made our trip reservations through AAA. We had been given a "Reservarion Confimation" and I had to give the client file # so they could find us in the computer.
 
I am arriving Nov 5th and was able to make all my ADR's last week, got everything I wanted (CRT and PSB) no problem and choice of times. I called yesterday to make another "just in case" ADR and the CM says I cannot make reservations until Aug. 6th. I tell him I already have reservations from Nov 5th thru the 11th. He says some CM's don't know the new rules and he's making a note to report them. Last week I did call everyday because I couldn't make all my ressie's at once but on July 29th I was able to make Nov.6th, on the 30st nov 7th and so on. So I talked to at least 4 different CM's with no problem--until yesterday. I ask if he can check on the ADR's that I already have because now I'm nervous because I hope I really do have them.. He couldn't do it w/o my ADR #'s which I didn't have (he was sort of rude). So I get my ADR numbers and call back. First, the CM brings up all my ADR's with just my phone #, then she says she can make my other ADR. I cannot figure this out I even told her I just got off the phone with someone else and they said I couldn't make ANY ADR"S for 2 more days and she says it's not a problem. I guess I got lucky but I am going to keep checking on my ressies cause now I'm afraid they screwed up and I'm going to lose them :confused:

A CM can pull up ALL of your reservations using the phone number you gave to make the reservations. This is by far the quickest and safest way to check your reservations as
1) it gives a quick summary of the resi (date,time,restaurant and # in the group)
2) it has all the reservations on one screen and
3) (most important) it's impossible to accidently cancel a reservation by mistake from that point.

The more times you use the actual reservation # to access the reservation, the more chance you have of it getting deleted by mistake. So use your phone number to do a quick check on all the reservations you have. You don't need to constantly check the reservations. If you check them ONCE using the phone number and they are all present and correct, they can not be deleted unless someone accesses the reservation numbers (which isn't going to happen unless you call and ask a CM to do so). Calling multiple times to check up on things is simply going to increase you chance of mistakes being made and your reservations getting cancelled by mistake.
