I was chatting with a friend yesterday about various things. We'd discussed going on a trip to New Orleans or somewhere together, but... When she said she was going to get her favorite perfume yesterday, I quipped that luckily I'm stocked up right now as replacing mine would involve a trip to EPCOT (or Norway, but EPCOT is more practical), and she said "What's EPCOT?"
At that point, I was like "Wait... have you never been to Disney World?!?"
Answer? No.
"FORGET New Orleans! We are going to Disney!!"
We have our dates picked out and will be booking our room/tickets package next month!! We both tend to do the same one main meal and then mainly snacking each day, so a dining package isn't going to be worth it for us.
I've never taken someone to Disney World for their first visit, so I am super pumped! I've already told her we will get early morning flights and meet at MCO for Magical Express. We're going to the resort to at least drop our bags, and then to Magic Kingdom!!
I think my plan right now is once we're through the turnstiles (such as they are), I'm going to have her close her eyes and hold onto my shoulders, then walk to the end of Main Street USA so that when I step aside she can see the castle for the first time!!!
