I just called Disney. If the AP rates from years past hold true for this coming December, I've paid off our room! YEA. Then I bought my AP, so now I've just got to wait until September for PS's and such. But, the trip is paid for other than food. Tickets for family have already been purchased. MVMCP tickets and Family Magic Tour tickets are already paid for. YEA!!!!! Still so long to go!!!!

Ok, if you don't mind me asking, how much were your APs and how much was the AP discount?

The AP is 420.68 with tax. About $200.00 more than if I had purchased a 10 day MYW ticket like I did for my DH. Rates for value season for moderate resort were $79 and $49 for value resort last value season. We are planning on staying at POR. Saving about $40-50 per night with the AP rate. Staying 10 nights, so about $400-500 savings plus taxes on that. Plus, we'll be able to purchase DDE card for $50 as an AP holder. That will get us 20% off all meals. So we should save more than $50 over that 10 day period, which will make that worthwhile also.
