So disappointed - no MSEP FP+ available at midnight 60 days out?!

So, my 60 day window for an 8 day trip just opened at midnight (half an hour ago). I immediately tried to book MSEP, because my 2-year old DD would adore it, and I know that she will never make it if we have to stake out a spot an hour before to have a decent view.

There was NO FP+ availability for MSEP for the entire length of our stay. There also weren't any Festival of Fantasy FP+ available for any day of our trip. Is this really the case? Have they just not opened FP+ yet for the parades? I don't care so much about FoF, but I am really disappointed not to get MSEP.

I didn't realize that MSEP was going to be harder to get than Anna and Elsa or SDMT. Interestingly, I could have booked either of those with no problems whatsoever!

There are far, far fewer parade FP+ available, as there is just one (or two) MSEP parade(s) in a day, whereas the other attractions operate all day long.

Yeah - I thought it was weird that there wasn't any parade availability at all for the length of my 8 day stay, especially since I have not previously heard of people having a lot of trouble reserving parades at 60+ days out. I'm hoping that something opens up!

Since you're going in late January, crowds should be light enough that viewing the parade should not be difficult and lack of a FP shouldn't pose problem. Across the street from Liberty Tree Tavern provides a very good viewing angle.

I have been stalking for MSEP for weeks now, and I can guarantee that both MK parades have not been made available to FP+ past Jan. 11. I don't know why this is or why they stopped making parades available past Jan 11, but this is definitely the case. I will post to this forum as soon as something opens up. I use this site to keep checking.

If you are stalking for 1, 2, or 3 FP+, this site won't help much. This site only searches for 4 or more people, so if something becomes available for 3 or fewer people, you won't see it here.

I got mine at about 30 days out by constantly checking.

Keep an eye out when it gets closer to your dates to see if they add a second MSEP for the day you'll be at MK, and then check for the FP+ for the second parade. A few weeks before our recent trip, they added a second MSEP for several days during our trip and the FP+ for the second parades were available for several days before they were all gone.

At one point some months back the fp+'s for the parades, and fireworks were only being released 30 days in advance. Then they began to release them at the same 60 day mark. Perhaps they've gone back to the 30 day point once again?

it is pretty obvious that they are now holding the MK parades, as no FPs for either of them, for any party of any size, have been available at all past January 11.

Why are they holding them, and when will they be released for booking? I don't know anyone who can answer either question.

Leave in 10 days for my 10 day trip. Was logged in on the dot at 60 days, got A&E and 7DMT. Never once saw an FP for 4 people for FoF, Wishes, or MSEP.

Agreed with the early sentiments about no parades even being available after January 10th or 11th or so for a long time. I was looking for late January and they never existed in early November according to that UK website and I don't think, for example, the January 19th parade was being scooped up on November 1st by people taking 21-day trips in January. The supply is certainly limited, but it doesn't make sense that there's currently FP+ available for dates in the first full week of January but none in the less crowded weeks that follow in the the rest of January and early February.

Someone, on the rumors board here, did mention and find a link that WDW was doing something experimental from like November 28th through December 2nd (don't quote me on the dates, approximately) with having 2 separate FP areas for the parades. One near the circle and one near Casey's.

So I wonder if they're completing some sort of test - perhaps to see if they can expand the number of their fastpasses for parades with two locations, or move it around due to location/construction, before they expand for the post-January 11th parades. I have read about the construction stuff on Main Street but have no idea how true it is in terms of scope, future plans, etc. Is the circle near the castle going to be shut down for a bit, etc.

I would pay attention in the next few days to see if they release them soon.

the extra fast pass viewing location "test?" is from Nov. 29 through today, Dec. 2nd. the main area is called "Central Plaza" and the second area is actually called "Town Square".

I have no idea where I got the Casey's thing from.. I'm going to WDW for the first time in 25+ years in January so my geography may be a bit off as I try to plan.

Well that link makes me feel a little better. I am bringing my 75yo MIL for her very first trip EVER to WDW at the end of January into the beginning of February. Every parade has been Closed for Refurbishment or FP+ was gone for the day. I normally would never use a FP+ for a parade, but my MIL loves them and it's all about making her trip as special as possible
