We arrived yesterday at an offsite hotel that claimed to have a full size crib. It is maybe half size! My daughter is almost 2 and very tall but is managing. I called A Babys Best Friend yesterday early afternoon and emailed them about the possibilty of a rental for this week. Their online formwont work and their contact form is erroring out. But I have an email and found a phone number that I left messages with. I used them in the past but am very disappointed to not even receive a response. :(

Any other rentals I can call? Babys Away is also not answering but I just called them this morning.

Honestly, I'd take a cab out to the nearest Target or Wal Mart and just buy the cheapest pack and play you can find. My son slept in one of those for naps until he was well past 3 years old (and he's VERY tall). I'd feel much better about that than one of those half sized hotel cribs! We had one of those in a hotel once when our son was 6 months old and even then, the thing was TINY! I can't imagine a 2 year old in one.

But, I have to wonder, HOW would a rental place be able to provide a FULL SIZED crib? Those things take FOREVER to build up and take down. I'm sure they meant "more like a crib than a pack and play", but I would never expect to get a crib like the size you have at home.

Or, is it an option to just make a little bed for her on the floor out of blankets? She's 2 after all...or is she a wanderer?

I've never heard of having a full size crib in a hotel room, just the smaller ones. I think you didn't understand what you were renting. All of my kids used them at hotels without any issues.

Edited to add, they did say full on the website, and the measurments are 52 x 28 - not sure if that is the size of regular full cribs, since we don't have any anymore.

I'm so sorry you're not having luck with ABBF. I love their full-sized cribs. :thumbsup2

I have never used Orlando Crib Rental, but they rent full-sized cribs. 407-433-7770

They are full-sized cribs, at least from ABBF. They only take 5 minutes to put together. 10 if my kids are "helping." :lmao: It's great to have an actual crib instead of a Pack N Play. My DD slept in a PNP at Disney when she was 11 months old, but after that, it was obviously not comfortable for her anymore. I want the kids to get good sleep so EVERYONE is happy. :goodvibes

Thanks everyone. I emailed them again and was told they don't have any cribs available.

We have traveled over a dozen trips with DD and we have always rented a crib whereever we were. This is the first time we are staying overnight and I had a long conversation with the hotel about the type of
crib etc. They assured me
twice it was full size. There is a brand of cribs that fold out that some hotels carry and they told me not to worry. Frustrating but maybe to a non-parent the crib looks full size. It is the size of a pnp and shockingly DD has slept in it for 2 naps and an overnight. Thankfully since it looks like the rentals are sold out.

Thank you for the recommendation for Orlando Crib Rentals. I have them
bookmarked if we have a bad night.

Sorry for the vent. I just had bad customer service and ABBF has been the worst customer service of any crib rental we have used but I think it is because they are the biggest rental co we have used too

Wait, just to clarify...

The hotel said they had a full sized crib. But they don't. So you are making do with what they have.

The problem with the rental company is that they weren't answering, NOT that you rented a crib from them that wasn't the right size. Right? And now you've heard from them, and you found they don't have anything available. Which is understandable, as it's the start of spring break!

Sorry the hotel didn't have what they said they have; I think your true frustration should be with them, not the rental companies.

Yup. I was frustrated because they weren't answering. I was surprised for a fairly reputable rental company wouldn't respond to an urgent inquiry. I had to reemail them. A polite, sorry we don't have any availablity is common courtesy. Especially from a client that is a repeat customer.

Trust me, already have a clarification request to the hotel about the crib. Andmuch more frustrated. I wanted to post to see if otherhad similar issues with ABBF and getother recommendations.

Sorry. But yes ABBF did not supply the crib. When we have rented everything has been as described. Sorry long day with an active toddler! :)

Hello I have a quick question our hotel only provides pack n plays I will have an 8 month old and would actually prefere a crib, for those of you that have rented from ABBF how were the cribs, how did the crib come packaged and was it easy to get it to the room and put together? TIA
