So confused - park and cruise vacay - do we rent a car or use car service

We are going a 9 day vacation this October and are doing a few days at the park and then a 4 day cruise.

We are currently booked with a car service to take us from MCO to the resort to the cruise and then back to the airport after the cruise.

My daughter says she wants to stay at Animal Kingdom and maybe spend a day at Seaworld now.

So is it outrageously expensive to rent a car at the airport and take it to the resort, then drive down to the cruise and park it there while we are cruising and then back to MCO ???

It would be so convenient if we did decide to stay at Animal Kingdom to have a car and would be great for Seaworld. Is the drive to the Cruise a nice one?

I picked a few dates in October to check the rates and found small cars for around $200. You'd have to pay for parking at the port, while on the cruise, so keep that in mind.

The drive (from the airport to port) is almost a straight shot, so that is very simple. There are some toll plazas and you have to exit off to the side to pay the toll.
