given today's news, I am still unclear on if ADRs are being taken now or not (for after October 15th dates). Or will they start taking ADRs on october 15th? I am confused! I don't see it on the WDW dining site yet as an option and can't call at the moment.

They have not yet opened the reservations for Hacienda. The blog mentions that once they are opened, they will be available for dates starting Oct 15.

The blog was not very clear about reservations. It almost sounded like you would be able to make reservations (for dates starting in October) starting about when the soft opening started in Mid September. (What an unclear sentence LOL)

lol- thanks all- it didn't quite really address WHEN ADRs were available. very confusing. sounds like not yet. hopefully soon!

For now, I'd assume that they'd follow the same (or at least similar) plan as Via Napoli. Soft opening starts, then next day reservations open for about a month away and on. (Or, in VN's case, planned opening... then the opening ends up a few days earlier ). Of course, it's not likely to be exactly that, but I would guess that a similar time frame would happen.

That means that I'm guessing (again, based only on the VN timeframes) that Hacienda should soft-open around the 15th-16th of Sept (The 16th is a date we've heard a few times, and it's on a Thursday just like VN was originally planned) with reservations likely to open around the 17th (the following Friday), and an announcement telling me that I'm wrong sometime in the next couple of weeks . Keep in mind, these dates that I've posted are guesses based on the process that VN underwent! DO NOT THINK THEY ARE THE ACTUAL DATES! I think I disclaimed (and exclaimed!) enough there .
