SO Cal Resident dilemma

Let me preface this by saying I am not trying to circumvent the rules. My husband lost his CA DL and went to DMV to get a replacement. He has an old expired ID. But never having used the So Cal resident tickets I didn't realize you needed a valid ID. I know that sounds stupid. Anyways you think its possible to take the expired ID and current utility bill and that will fly? I know someone had a thread on here about expired military ID's but I'm wondering if we will find a way to get all our tickets under the deal instead of having to purchase his at each park.

I have heard of people using CURRENT household bills as proof of residency. Be sure the document has both his name and current address.

The CM can look at what he bring as proof along with your current CA DL and I feel you'll all be in.

Did the DMV give your husband any paperwork to cover him until the new DL arrives? Have him bring those papers, too, along with the old DL and the current utility bill. Those things should be fine to show that the photo matches, that the address matches, and that he did apply for a new DL and that the DMV accepted his identification.

What lucky rabbit said. Your DH should have a temporary DL from the DMV. That, the old ID, and a utility bill should do it.
