Last year when we went, it was still closed for construction. This year we are going Nov 2-6 and it says it will be closed for Holiday Install. I am so bummed. I don't know when we will go again after this trip and I really wanted my kids to experience this one.

Bummer Jennifer. IASW is closed every year in late Oct and early Nov. Hopefully next time before you lock in dates you can check in on this forum and we can help you choose dates that work with your priorities and avoid disappointment. :)

In general when you choose off-season dates like early November there are going to be ride and show closures. If that feels too risky then I always encourage folks to consider high season dates like summer, spring break and holiday (Thanksgiving-New Years). You can read about this more here: "What You Should Know About Off-Season at DLR" www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=18462889

Otherwise I hope your trip is magical. pixiedust:

Thanks for the replies. For us, I think the trade off of less crowds is worth it. For me, I would brave it, but my DH would be a grump and probably never agree to go back!

I'm sorry you're going to miss something you really wanted to see. You'll still have a blast though I'm sure!

I know it's bad, but IASW being closed is one of my favorite reasons for going in October. lol

Dangit. I was hoping to take Viv on IASW for the first time this trip. Shoot!
