so AP's got a discount today...when will Disney Visa holders get a break??

Disney Visa usually comes out 1 day after AP rate...public code comes out 3 days after that...expect rates to be identical to AP discount.

How exciting! But I have a question. Or a couple of them. I already have my package booked and didn't use my visa to do it. Would I have to cancel and rebook with the visa or apply a payment with it? And, are these discounts available for CL rooms? I have a junior suite booked at the WL and don't want to get my hopes up if the discount wouldn't apply ...

Yes. If you go to the Disney site, in the upper right-hand corner, you'll see a small link for Passholders.

I'd love an answer to this question as well. I did call Disney this AM to try and use a Disney Visa discount but the cast member said that it wouldn't be out until tomorrow/Friday. Just thought I'd let you know what they told me.

So for sure Visa is tomorrow (friday)? Is it the same deal as the AP?

Looks like I was off by a day, I forgot about Florida resident discount. Nothing is certain, but looks likely that we will see:

Wednesday - AP Discount
Thursday - FL resident Discount
Friday - Disney Visa Discount
Sunday or Monday - Public Discount

Based on the past, they will all be the same discount. The difference from previous years is it is slightly earlier this year (usually early August) and slightly better (past years were typically 25-30%).

Looking for two nites - 12/5 and 12/6

1st call just before lunch - was told no standard rooms at a value with AP discount

called just now - ASSports available standard w/AP discount. (my least favorite resort theme and Pop Warner arrival day, so that could be bad).

I tried the moderates. Only moderate available was CBR. I started booking it, then she said, wait - no AP discount for 12/5 only 12/6! Rack rate is $149 and the AP discount was $89. She said there are AP discounted rooms for the Pirate Theme Rooms standard view for $130, but I wasn't interested in that either.

Guess I'll wait and see what happens with the Disney Visa discount! My brain hurts!

Did you ask about a preferred room at the value resorts? Standard is $54 and preferred is $69 with AP discount. I don't think availability will improve if and when a Visa discount comes out.

I didn't realize you could book preferred ap discounted room! I'll try in a little while. I think it's crazy how they make you tell them all the names and ages, who is going in what room etc before they tell you there is no availability!
