I've seen on here that some people have 0 comments on their dining reviews...just curious, is it because someone is a "newbie"?

Don't look for the replies. Check out the "views". Many people prefer to lurk than comment.

Agreed. Check the views. Lots of lurkers. Sometimes, people read reviews and just have nothing to really ask or reply to.

it's true ... lots of lurkers ... look at the number of views a thread receives rather than the posts.

I look through almost every review that is posted here but I don't comment on all of them.

Photos. We eat first with our eyes. I try to read reviews, but I find if there aren't a lot of photos, I lose interest.

i truly agree with this one - i know alot of people like to make comments, but i like to get right to the point and really, really love to see the pictures.

Photos are what draw me in. The best reviews (for me) are the ones that link to each restaurant from an index on the first page, as it makes things easier to find. I guess I'm just lazy! I've found that most posters seem to agree with me on this, as some of the reviews with the most views/comments are very well-organized w/ lots of pics and a linked index.

I'm a lurker! I admit it. I still can't bring myself to take pictures if what I eat but I love these reviews! I seldomly comment, unless the writing style is particularly entertaining, otherwise I just lurk and move on!

Big time lurker here---just want to see the reviews and lots of pics . Actually would like it if everybody did the same --would take up less space on the page. Usually have to skip a page or two just to get to see more food porn!!So like the OP said--check the views. I've been luking since 2005 w/ less than 200posts. Really love the links thread w/ the catergorized list and the food pics only(I, II andIII). But that being said keep the reviews coming!
