Snow, whos got it already and who is preparing for it?

So who's has snow already here in the UK and who is ready for it to come there way! We don't have any yet here in essex but it seems there is a lot coming our way tomorrow and the coming days! I'm dreading it, as although I'm off work recovering from surgery, I have a follow up on Monday and am hoping and praying it doesn't cause too much disruption!! On the other hand it is pretty haha! Who's looking forward to it? And who's not?

We have just woken up to some snow . We never get it here as we are so close to the sea. Very excited for DD to experience it for the first time. Hoping its gone in the weekend. X

We had a few cms last night, but it doesn't look like we've had any more overnight. I believe the heavy stuff is due over the next few hours. I'm going to stay put until I have to go to work tonight. I HATE snow !!

We've got a little bit, the back garden looked very pretty when I woke up but the dogs have been out playing in it and now it looks a right mess - plus I've suddenly got three white dogs instead of two black and one sable!

School and college have closed for DDs but mine's open, unfortunately!

I'm hoping we'll get some more later on - I love snow when it's fresh, it's when it gets slushy and really slippery that I don't like it.

**ETA** Half an hour after writing this I got a message that we were closing after all so I've had some fun in the garden with the dogs whilst my DDs have gone sledding with their friends. We get such little snow down here that we have to make every opportunity of it!

We've had a few cms. It's stopped at the moment, but I believe that it's supposed to start again an a couple of hours. We got a phone call from DD an hour or so ago to say that her school was shutting at 1pm. Luckily both DH and myself are at home or else there would have been no one to pick her up and probably no school buses!

shed loads in Hampshire! It started snowing heavily at around 7am and is still going - big, fat flakes! Had a message from DD school at 7.30 to say that the bus company wasn't running buses so DH took her - had to pick her up at 10.15 because they closed the school. DS got to the school gates only to be told they had just made the decision to close. I think the schools were frightened of overreacting but the snow is falling just as forecast.

I've got to go to work this evening - I'm taking my Florida planning stuff with me as I doubt there will be any customers and, even if there were customers, there's probably no food left to sell tonight anyway! How I wish for a phone call telling me not to bother coming in but that's as likely as a heatwave this afternoon!

We have about 15cm here in Northampton, even though on the BBC forecast we were in the 2 - 5cm zone!

Hope its all gone by Monday - I hate snow!

We have had a light dusting so far, I love snow except for working in it. Having said that people tend to respect and help us. Problem is in heavy snow the ambulances have a tendency to get stuck. I'm workin 1200-0000 tomorrow and Sunday, I dont mind walking to work but will not walk home at midnight

A very light sprinkling here, more across other parts of the Island. We are coming over to England on Tuesday househunting, so hope that most of it is gone by then!

Only got an inch or just a bit more. But made my cycle home from work fantastic, 12 miles of the white stuff, felt like a big kid again !

Wow! Looks beautiful! We are only just getting the snow now it's not heavy but it's settling very quickly! I think we have just started to get what everyone has just had! Oh no!
