Snow White & the 7 Dwarfs are Set Loose! ~ (NEW RING PICS & LINK TO TR!! 7/1!)

Well, Miss Cindy, this is a busy time of year for school. I know I was piling on the work before Spring Break!!!!:guilty: :sad2:
I haven't gotten to the clothing portion of my travel planning yet. Mostly because its like 40 degrees here still. So sad...:sad1: The other problem is that we have such limited shopping choices here where I live. The mall is...gasp... a 50-minute drive.
Do you like crocs? We have some and I am going to order jibbitz to decorate them with. I will work on that this week.
OK I am off to get ready for the day as well!
Have a great day! :yay:

You have an awesome pre-trip report here. You are inspiring me to do one as well. Can't wait to hear more....

=Can you tell me how to get the link to my report (when I start one) in my posts?

Dont worry Cathy and my other loyal readers! I am here... Not so much posting going on lately but that is probably because I am 2 weeks away from finals, and that means EVERYTHING is due :scared1: It is also the NBA playoffs and I am loyally watching my Bulls beat the Miami Heat. With all of that said I have a couple of small teeny tiny updates to report, but trust me once school is over I am sure there will be full-blown updates as my excitement will grow and I will need to have somewhere to express my insanity! :yay: That is what you people are here for, as I am sure DBF does not want to hear my ranting, and he knows I could rant and rave about Disney for days!

Okay Time for the Teeny Tiny Update, I apologize in advance that it is short!

As of today...the Countdown stands at..... 51 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never did buy my crocs...I may just have to stick to my new Sketchers, they are very comfy. PLUS I cant find anyone who carries the Disney Crocs and I am reluctant to buy shoes from the internet when I havent tried them on. Now if I happen to find the Disney crocs and can try them on...well that is a different story and then I will probably buy them, but so far no luck. Of coures, the Mary Jane style crocs are actually kinda cute, so who knows, I will keep you updated on my shoe purchases.

For easter I got some more Disney Dollars :woohoo: :woohoo: I almost have enough Disney dollars to cover my food expense, of course most of you use the Disney Dining Plan and do not have this problem. Why is it that we eat so much more when on vacation especially at Disney, I mean I never really crave pretzels, but walk down Main Street and I just NEED one.:rotfl: I am grateful for Disney and their idea of Disney Dollars because then I can spend more!!! :goodvibes

I do have a question for all you Disney Experts Where in your opinion is the best place to watch Wishes? It is my absolute favorite show and I want to make sure we get a good, romantic view. :cloud9: Help a DISser out?

Alright, all of you wonderful people, I told you this was going to be short! But I must go get ready for school. Have a magical day!! :wizard:

:flower3: pixiedust: Here is some PD for your finals! :scared: Soon it will be over and we can :beach: :wave2:

I buy stuff from the internet all the time. Scanning your credit card at a store is just as "dangerous" as it is on the internet if thats what your concerned with.

I haven't ordered crocs yet either. I may "cheat" and just get the cheap ones from Payless then buy some Disney jibbitz to decorate??? ;) :goofy: :tigger: :donald: :ssst: Don't tell anyone!

OK I will check back here later. Thanks for the mini update! Keep studying :teacher:

I bookmarked your post about a month ago and finally got the chance to read it! :cool1: It's great so far! I can't wait for more when all of your school days are over. Good luck on your exams!

Yaaa:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: It's May and you know what that means right??? We go next month~~~ I am down to 49 days :cool1: :cool1: Oh and I did finally get Disney crocs in pink. They are cool. You should try them! ;) Let us know when your exams are over ok?? :thumbsup2

HEY EVERYONE!!! I AM FINALLY DONE WITH CLASSES FOR THE SEMESTER! I am happy to report that I can now spend more time on the DIS! :goodvibes I am very happy about that. Thanks to everyone who wished me good luck with the end of the semester. I am so excited that I can finally start catching up with everyone elses trippies and pre trippies! I feel I have neglected so many great ones, including my own. :sad2: Aw well, the GREAT news is that we have 36 days until we leave for the world! It is absolutely insane that we starting counting down in nearly the 200's....wow that went very quickly, but I am happy that it is soon approaching. :cool1: I am so overly excited that I already brought up my suitcase up from the basement, there are a few things I can pack which I know I wont wear until then, especially my bathing suits. Illinois was warm today, but not that warm! Plus all the cicadas are coming and I remember when they came 17 years ago, they were everywhere YUCK!! so I wont be doing any swimming in Illinois, that is for sure. Be happy if you live in a cicada free zone. I dont think Florida gets those things, right?? Maybe I'll have to post a picture of my empty suitcase--oh well, we shall see, I will have a lot of extra time on my hands now, and that is by no means a bad thing! I will def. update later. Bye Bye for now!

:car: Just stopping in to see your progress! Ya :cheer2: I see you have started packing! Good for you :thumbsup2 I still need to buy luggage. Maybe this weekend. Can't wait to hear more!

33 Days!!!

Welcome Back Everyone~! :goodvibes

With each day that passes I get more and more excited that I want to dance like the Dancing Banana! I wake up every morning thinking, one day closer to Disney... I guess while I was stressing out in school I sorta forgot how excited I was to be going on this wonderful vacation. But now I am stress free, on summer break, and so incredibly antsy!! I am so antsy that as I am writing this, I am listening to the Splash Mountain Theme, June 15th can’t come soon enough.

I know it is like a DIS rule that you must make a countdown clock, but since DBF and I don’t live with each other we have to think of another way to countdown. So, I took it upon myself to send him a daily email with the number of days to go and a picture of a Disney Character. I even send him clues to which Disney Character it is for the day. I started this yesterday and I sent him

clipsim21.gif
Simba for 34 Days

and today I sent him
clipheff4.gif
Heffalump for 33 days. (I think he is so cute)
So that is how we are counting down, being a very crafty person, I know once we live together I will make a full blown countdown clock out of cardstock and scrapbooking supplies, but for now, the technological countdown clock will have to do.

I know I promised to send a picture of the outside of the house we rented in Celebration a couple of updates ago (which was like 3 months ago!) So here ya go, this will be our home away from home for one week.

Isnt it beautiful??

I have already started my shopping for this trip. I can’t believe how many new pieces of clothing I have bought in the last couple of months for this trip. I have some 8 new shirts (which are mostly sleeveless because I cannot bear to wear anything with sleeves when it is 90 degrees and up!), new shorts, skirt, bathing suit, sandals (for the beach and water parks), gym shoes, oh yeah and a cute new little pink wallet. I honestly do not know where it all came from, but that is okay, I have a tendency to over pack anyways. Here is a picture of some of the stuff.

TR006.jpg
Some of my clothing purchases!

So today, DBF and I are going back to the Disney store, (he needs to get his mom Disney Dollars for Mother’s Day) and I will probably make more purchases, plus I want to utilize his Walgreens discount and get all my toiletries and anything else I can find to bring! I will be sure to post if I buy anything interesting...oh man I am gonna be so broke! :scared1:

Well I just I want to wish all you moms a Happy Mother’s Day for tomorrow! I got my mom a Croc Pot cookbook. It is actually really funny because my mom can cook gourmet meals, but she is lost when it comes to cooking with a croc pot. :rotfl: I hope all you moms relax and enjoy your day!

Thanks for reading!! :goodvibes

I just started reading your TR, and I haven't finished it all, but I'm loving it so far. I wanted to subscribe so I don't forget to finish it!! I'm jealous, my TR is so boring compared to yours!

 :cool1: :cheer2: 29 Days!!! :cool1: :cheer2:

:wizard: I cannot believe that we are now in the 20's! June will be here before we know it. It looks like we have one minor change in our plans, on June 24th (the day we check out of our house) we may go to a Disney waterpark again. We have the extra days on our passes so we might as well use them. Packing is coming along, right now it consists of a giant pile of stuff, I will take a picture and post it so you can all call me crazy at the amount of clothing I take with me.

Here is an refresher/update on our itinerary...*AK may be swapped with one of the water park days

In some non-Disney news, but equally important news: my favorite NBA team (Bulls as you know) have forced a game 6 tomorrow night. I am super excited because if they win they will force a game 7 and have a chance to advance to the eastern conference finals. Pixie dust for my Bulls!! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: Anyways I thought I would share a picture of me from a recent Bulls game I attended last month...
YAY.jpg
Me & DBF with the team...okay it's not really the team, but that would amazing! :cloud9:

I will update more later, but for now it is back to work , blahh! Have a great day DISers!:thumbsup2

I do have a question for all you Disney Experts Where in your opinion is the best place to watch Wishes? It is my absolute favorite show and I want to make sure we get a good, romantic view. :cloud9: Help a DISser out?

Main street :thumbsup2

really enjoying your trip report

Well a promise is a promise and I promised I would update later, and I do not lie, here we go!!!

DBF has been thoroughly enjoying his Disney Countdown Character of the Day emails (I call them DCCOTD). It is the first thing I do in the morning! Here are some of the characters he has received in the past couple days...

clipplutohowl.gif
Pluto for 32 Days

clipabupout.gif
Abu for 31 Days

clipnemoreal3.gif
Nemo for the significant 30 day mark. He is one of my favorites!

clipdonaldsalute.gif
Donald for today (29 days)

As you have probably gathered, I am the queen of over packing. It is a sickness and as much as I try to cut back, I always seem to end up brining more than anyone else. I think it is genetic, my mother does the same thing. Anyways, to give you an idea of this sickness I have decided to post some pictures for you all so you can witness this firsthand...

First up, the suitcase which I hope will fit all my clothes!

TR012.jpg
This thing will be packed to capacity once I’ve had my way with it!

And the infamous piles of clothing...

TR009.jpg

TR008.jpg

TR007.jpg

I know I know, but like I said, it is a sickness! I like to have variety and choices when I travel, plus 2 weeks is a long time to be away from home. I think I bring so many clothes because I change my outfit about 3 times a day, especially when we are at the beach...But I do find that I never end up wearing everything I bring. :rotfl: Oh well. I am proud of myself though, I cut back on the number of shoes I am bringing and I am only bringing 6 pairs! (3 are in the picture) Sadly, that is much better than recent years. Hey, it is progress people! :rotfl2:

Sadly, even if I was to pack all that stuff right now I would still have more than enough clothes to wear from now until the trip. I think I have a clothing addiction.

Then there is the whole toiletries department of things to bring...
TR011.jpg
some of the stuff I bought with DBF’s Walgreens Discount.

TR010.jpg
And some other stuff I bought with DBF’s Walgreens discount: A waterproof camera (for water parks, house pool, and the Beach), Hair clips that DBF always plays with and breaks, they were only $1 and really $.85 with DBF’s discount, and 2 pack of beach balls for $1.99, but cheaper with the discount. :thumbsup2

Does anyone else tend to over pack? I am almost certain that if I would be flying, my suitcase would always be over the weight limit.:lmao: Ooo I just reminded myself that I need to pack purses for when we go out. I have my Cinderella backpack for when I’m at the parks, but when we go to nice dinners I must bring other purses....I will try and limit myself to a white one and a black one...but we will see how that goes, DBF is gonna kill me once he sees everything I am brining.

TR013.jpg
My Cinderella backpack.

The over packing becomes a problem when it is time to return home from our magical vacation because by that point I have done so much shopping that I have no where to put it. This year I have to get my Nephew birthday presents for his 2nd birthday which I will be missing while on vacation. :guilty: I am not sure what to buy him yet, but I want to make sure it is something that will begin to convert him into a Disney nut like his Auntie. He is beginning to watch TV more so I think it is almost time to get him watching Disney movies...hmm, I know he has a Cars sippy cup, Cars may be a good place to start. We shall see what I’ll buy him once I am set loose on Main Street or the World of Disney. I do know I will send him a postcard for his birthday once I arrive. Whether or not he will understand the concept is a different story. But he is pretty smart for a two year old.

attachment.jpg
There is me and my Nephew on his 1st Birthday, isn’t he a cutie pie?

That is all for now. I must go eat some dinner now and DBF is now over so I guess I should entertain him with more Disney talk, I am sure he will be thrilled... :rotfl2: Thanks for reading everyone.

yay!!! you're getting sooo close :cool1: !!

I love the email countdown idea... very creative. Don't worry about overpacking.... choices are a good thing!

And, I am completely obsessed with your Cinderella backpack!!!!!!

:cheer2:  24 Days!!!:cheer2:

Hey Everyone! My counter in my siggy is off though, I think it is because I have set to the day we arrive, not the day we leave. Can you believe that May is almost over? JUNE IS NEXT! Yesterday I made DBF's mom and aunt (Doc & Bashful I believe were their names at the beginning of this Pre-trippie, which BTW I will probably change the title and names of people soon...so be on the lookout for that) Anyways, back on topic, I made his mom and aunt their itineraries. I just had to print them out and glue them to the notecards. While I was trimming paper and gluing DBF was making lists of things to bring in the car and things do before we go. (of course we were listening to Disney music while doing this) We also got our directions from Illinois to the House of Mouse all printed and ready to go!

Total milage: 1,214 miles

Total Hours: About 22 (with stops) without factoring in stops it was about 18 hours.

We are driving straight through, which will be interesting since we are planning arrive in the Disney area at about 6:00 PM, we then are planning on going to MGM the next day. Guaranteed we wont be there at opening though after driving straight through. I am hoping to get a few hours of sleep in the car, but I usually don't sleep longer than 30 minutes while on a roadtrip. So I will be sleepy, but I am hoping once I see those Disney gates I will get my second wind for sure!

TR002.jpg
I posted these before, but here they are again because I am so darn proud of them. Here is one of the itineraries I printed for DBF's mom and aunt.

I just love being on summer vacation! I get to do all this fun Disney stuff!!! Today I made little cards for my Trip Reporting. I want to remember everything so that my report can be as accurate & detailed as possible for you guys, aren't I doll? :cutie: I made the cards in word. They are 4 x 6 so I cut them out and stapled them to an index card (they are two sided).

TR019.jpg
FRONT of card
TR020.jpg
BACK of card
If anyone wants these just let me know, I will be happy to email you a copy. You can also let me know if you want different characters on the cards too! I am on summer vacation and bored! :rolleyes1

I think the TR cards will come in handy not just for trip reporting, but also scrapbooking. I love to scrapbook our Disney vacations and to bring back memories and make me more excited I busted out my scrapbook from 2005 here are some pages...

TR032.jpg
Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin page
TR027.jpg
Meeting Mickey!
TR016.jpg
Our whole gang meets Disney's whole gang at Epcot at the Visa Character Connection.

I have also been busy getting all of our maps ready for the parks. I made colored copies of the ones from my Passporter (cuz they are much smaller than the maps they give you at the parks) and trimmed them down. They fit so nicely in pockets of my Passporter too! I am not sure that we will even need the maps, but sometimes in the blistering heat my mind draws a blank...it happens to the best of us, right?

TR021.jpg
Park maps
TR022.jpg
Blizzard Beach/Typhoon Lagoon Maps and Polynesian Resort.

I have the Poly. map so that I can accurately find that path to the Wedding Pavilion and Grand Floridian. DBF and I want to take a walk to the GF & WP when we go to the Luau. Alright, I will admit, it is more like I want to take the walk and I am dragging DBF with me. I will have my map so that there are NO excuses from DBF! I keep reminding him that I want to see the WP, but I think he is starting to block my voice out whenever I talk about taking this walk. Just know if I have to, I will drag his butt on this walk, aren't I the nicest girlfriend? It may the only time I get to see the Wedding Pavilion so close. Plus I hear the walk is super romantic, and we all need some romance now and again!!

I also printed out the ULTIMATE Disney packing list from www.mousesavers.com. It is a very helpful list and is amazingly organized. It definitely fits my neurotic standards. :rolleyes1
TR023.jpg
the ULTIMATE list

I forgot to post these before but I also went to Home Depot awhile back to get...
TR026.jpg
LGMH!!!

And of course, this TR wouldn't be complete without showing you...
TR025.jpg
Yet more clothes...I think I am done shopping now.

DBF is guessing all of his Disney Countdown Characters..I cannot seem to stump him. He says he is a Disney Character expert! I guess I make his clues way too easy. At first it was not my intent to stump him, but now he rubbing it in that he gets them all right and it is p-ing me off so much that it is my ultimate goal to stump him before we leave. I still got 24 more days to get him.

Here are some of our past countdown characters, which he has gotten all correct!...

clipbuzz7.gif
28 Days
clipprettytink.gif
27 Days
cliplumiere2.gif

24 Days

Hmm, I wonder who I should send him tomorrow? Any suggestions and clues I could give him? The harder the better!

That is all for now, I am hungry, and I should be heading off to work. Thanks for reading everyone!! AND REMEMBER, 24 DAYS!!!

Very nice! I especially like your itinerary pages. What program did you use for that? I would like to do that if I get the time...;)

Very nice! I especially like your itinerary pages. What program did you use for that? I would like to do that if I get the time...;)

I used Powerpoint to make the itineraries and each slide was a different day. It was actually quite easy to make if you know how to use powerpoint. To print it I printed it as a handout with 2 slides on each. If you have powerpoint and want me to send you the template I used PM me your email address and I can do that for you. All you would have to do is plug in your information. :goodvibes

Great trip report so far!! Your trip is getting close! :thumbsup2

It sounds like fun to go with extended family - we're hoping to do that someday, too. :)
