Snow White lived with 7 Men, thats CRAZY! Girls Only Trip-May 2012! *WE ARE LEAVING!*

Oh don't worry, I go to Target all the time too! I'm basically obsessed with that place! :rotfl:

I think your best bed would be to go see Fantasmic on this day too, rather than Memorial Day! I think the crowds would be a lot bigger at the earlier showing and then you could be doing something for EMH while everyone else is crowding in the theater for the second show. :thumbsup2

YAY SINGLE DIGITS!!!!

Target is so addicting! Glad I'm not the only one! :lmao:
I think you are right about Fantasmic. We will go with doing it this night, I'm almost positive.
Can you believe its single digits! Thats so crazy!!

We thought about trying to catch Fantasmic on Memorial Day at 11. If we don't make it I won't be too heart broken. Love the bracelet, super cute!

Hi!! Yea, I am sure the 11pm Fantasmic will not be as crowded as the 9pm one, but I think we want to use this time for the EMH and ride rides. Good luck if you wait for it! I hope its not too crowded for you!

So, this might be a silly question, but is there a filter in the water bottle? Because that sounds awesome in theory, but I'm not sure I get how it would work.

I would probably do Fantasmic! that day too, because I would think it would be a little less crowded, but it's hard to say. I think either way, you're still probably going to have to wait a while, so it might make sense to do on day 6, because as you said, you'll be cutting in to EMH time on Memorial Day. But I've never actually waited for Fantasmic! at WDW, only Disneyland, so I could be all off in my thinking.

Yes there is a filter in the water bottle. You do have to suck on the bottle to get it out, rather than squeeze the bottle like many do. It took me a few times to get used to it, but now it is the only water bottle I use. I love it!

I think you are right about seeing Fantasmic on our second HS day. We will probably do that and use the EMH on our first HS day to ride a bunch of the rides!!

Woo hoo, single digits! :dance3: :cool1: :cheer2:

Haha, don't worry, I love Target too, I go there at least once a week! :thumbsup2

I love DHS...wait until you hear what happened with ToT in my TR! :sad2:

If you guys can't think of anywhere good to eat in DHS, you could always walk/boat over to the Epcot resorts. There's Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club, and there are a few places you could go at the Boardwalk! :thumbsup2

I'd say leave Fantasmic until this night so you don't lose any EMH hours, I love EMH hours at DHS, I wouldn't want to waste them at Fantasmic! :rotfl:

I just realized I wrote, "your best bed" instead of "your best beT" hahah! I don't know anything about your best bed. :lmao:

Thanks for joining in my dance!!!
Glad there are more Target fanatics like me!
AH! I hope you got to ride it! That would be terribly sad if ToT was broken down or something :sad2: I would cry.
That is a good idea about going to a close by resort to grab a meal. I will have to mention that to Sam!! :thumbsup2 I think we will do Fantasmic on this last night!

I just realized I wrote, "your best bed" instead of "your best beT" hahah! I don't know anything about your best bed. :lmao:

Haha! I read right over it and didn't even notice! :lmao: But yes it is my best beT, I believe. My best bed would be located in the castle suite in Magic Kingdom :thumbsup2

Woohoo for single digits! That deserves a few dancing bananas:

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

I would think the 11 p.m. F! would be less crowded... maybe? :confused3 But F! is something we skip. Watched for the first time during our 2007 trip and that was enough for me. Personally, I didn't like the show (and I know it's been updated since '07, but that still doesn't make me want to see it) and I especially didn't care for the mass exodus after the show. Being in the middle of all those people trying to get out of the theater at the same time was enough to cause an anxiety attack!

Looks as if we'll both be a DHS on Thursday! Be sure to say "hi" if you see me! :)

I can't wait to hear the non-Disney surprise on Monday!!

Yay! Can you believe its so close! I'm so excited!!!!

We like Fantasmic, but won't wait and waste a ton of park time. I like seeing all the characters at the end, especially ones you don't normally see out and about. I don't like the mass of people either though!!

Oh yay! That makes for 2 days in a row we will be in the same parks, right? You are MK the day before? We will definitely watch for you!

My news is exciting and I can't wait to share!!!!

I.LOVE.THOSE.BOWS.
Oh my I want them so bad! :hyper:

Also love that nail design. I've been having trouble coming up with anything other than just red with white polka dots. May have to steal that!

Real Life Update!!!!!

So, this is major life changing news. I told many of you in my last post that I had news I really wanted to share but could not until today when I got the official news. Well, the news is:

party:

I GOT A TEACHING JOB!!!!!!

party:

I am so so so excited! Most of you do not know the story behind my job-search. So here is a brief summary: I went to college to be a high school/ middle school History teacher. Well then this Great Recession hit and there were hardly any teaching jobs. Especially in the heavily saturated history market. I have been searching for a job for 2 years. In the mean time, I have been substituting and living with my parents to make ends meet. This January, I took a Praxis exam, to add Middle School Math to my license, because I found from substituting that I enjoyed also teaching math. I also found from subbing that I love teaching middle schoolers. Last Monday, I was called for an interview. I interviewed Wednesday and when the interview was over the principal told me he was going to call me on Monday and offer me one of two positions (I interviewed for both a social studies and a math position). So, I got the official call today and accepted the 7th Grade Math position. That is the short summary of my job search.

Soooo, I will be moving this summer in mid-July to a "smaller" town Northwest of Wichita. Its about an hour and half from where I am now, but its in the town where my dad grew up and my grandparents still live there. I have lots of family in town and several friends. It is truly a blessing that I ended up in a town where I know so many people.

I seriously can't contain my excitement most of the time. Whats great is I can use this awesome news to celebrate even more at Disney in 5 days.

Ok, really its closer to 4 days now!! Can you believe it! I know when I get back I will have lots of work to do to start getting ready for next year, but the timing of our Disney trip couldn't be better. Plus, the other great thing about getting a full-time teaching job is that I can definitely afford to go back to Disney next May with Sam!!! :cool1:

Ok, I know I still need to get in my Last Day update. I will be doing that probably on Wednesday. Tomorrow is Sam's birthday and I am making her a Rapunzel cupcake/cake (I'll be sure to post pictures). We have plans to go to Red Robin for dinner, also, with my momma and her husband. Then I got her this cute Mickey Mouse calendar thing from Hallmark- ya know the ones where you change the block numbers for the date?!?! Its really cute and I know she will like it for her desk at school. It will be lots of fun!!!

Doesn't everyone live at Target? I know I would. :thumbsup2

And you're right, ToT is the best ride ever built!

Target is seriously the best. :lovestruc

I'm so glad you share my over-the-top love for ToT!!

I.LOVE.THOSE.BOWS.
Oh my I want them so bad! :hyper:

Also love that nail design. I've been having trouble coming up with anything other than just red with white polka dots. May have to steal that!

Aren't they the cutest bows!! I love them.

I found my nail design on Pinterest. There are lots of cute ideas on there. I just searched "Disney nails" and found way to many cute ones!!

The time seriously just flew. I can't believe we are only like 4 days out!!

Congratulations!!!! I had a feeling that would be it! That's awesome, what a blessing! :cheer2:

Happy Birthday to Sam! Yum... Red Robin. Love it. Have a great time!

Yay, congrats on your new job! :cool1:

Can't wait to see the pics of the cake you make for Sam!

OMG your trip is so close, I'm so excited for you! :dance3:

CONGRATS on the new job! :woohoo:

My undergraduate degree is History/Secondary Education, too! My masters is Special Education, so I have both those certifications. Then, just like you, I wound up with adding on through the praxis exams. I added on Elementary education, Middle school Language Arts, and middle school math. I LOVE teaching math, but am having to give up my 6th grade math this next year, and add in two 7th grade English classes.

How exciting for you! We are so close to our trip! :)

Yes! It is sooo exciting!! And it really is a blessing!
Sam had a great birthday! We had lots of fun and the food was great at Red Robin. When I read your post I read the word Yum... just like in the commercials. Haha :lmao:

Yay, congrats on your new job! :cool1:

Can't wait to see the pics of the cake you make for Sam!

OMG your trip is so close, I'm so excited for you! :dance3:

Thank you!!!!!!

The cake was so adorable, Sam freaked when she saw it and loved it!!!

I KNOW!!! I can't believe it is coming so fast...I swear my To Do list is getting longer! Eek!!

Thank you!!!! Your situation sounds a lot like mine, minus the whole masters part...Going to start that in a year or so. I really think I will enjoy teaching math. All my classes will be 7th grade. The school I will be in just received a huge grant to start a new math program. I will be doing a lot of extra data for the program, web conferences, and filming myself teaching for the program. Kind of nerve-racking but I'm glad I only have 1 prep to go with it all. :thumbsup2

I can't believe our trips came so fast! Can you believe we are both leaving in just a few days!!! I hope you have less on your To Do list than I do!! :lmao:

Happy {belated} Birthday to Sam and glad to hear she had a great day. Red Robin is my mom's favorite... I can't say "Red Robin" without going "Yum!" in my head, LOL!

Yay, your trip is only days away! :woohoo:

Ok, so I thought I would have time to post my last update yesterday, but obviously that didn’t happen! So here we go!

First, let me share with you pictures from Sam’s birthday. I made her a Tangled-themed cupcake cake. It was really fun and easy to make and Sam really liked it.

100_1390.jpg

100_1391.jpg

I could not for the life of me find a Disney Rapunzel doll that was small enough to go as the cake topper and didn’t cost me like 15 bucks. So, I bought a Barbie Rapunzel doll. That’s the only part of the cake I was a bit disappointed in but I literally checked everywhere- I even dared to enter Wal*Mart which I NEVER go to. I think it still turned out cute though! :thumbsup2

Next, Sam opened the cute calendar thingy I got for her at Hallmark.

100_1392.jpg

She was really excited to get it and said she would use it in her classroom next year. I was really glad that she liked it so much. After she opened her present, we went to dinner at Red Robin with her husband Victor and my momma. We had a good time. You know how they sing to you REALLY LOUD at Red Robin? Well, Sam had told me she did not want them to sing. Well, when our waitress comes over my momma blurts out “It’s her birthday” and pointed at Sam. :scared1: Sam face looked terrified immediately, I had to laugh, and she kindly told the waitress she did NOT want anyone to sing to her. The waitress was really nice about it and said Sam could still have the sundae though. In the end, we told our waitress to not bring the sundae because we were full and had cupcakes at home! Overall, it was a fun evening.

Afterwards, I went back to Sam’s house and watched the Dancing With The Stars finale and Sam helped me make this headband:

headband.jpg

Ok, actually that is Sam’s headband, but ours are identical. Sam made them, but they are really easy. We bought a pack of 5 basic headbands from Target for like $3.99 I think, then we bought the bows in packs of 2 at Michaels for like $2.99 each but I had a coupon so I think mine were like $2.20. All we did was super glue the bow to the headband. Sam also made us barrettes. She bought the barrette pieces at Michaels. I don’t remember how much they were but they couldn’t have been more than 4 bucks. And we took the other bow from our packs of two and super glued it to the barrette. The barrettes will be super cute to pull back our bangs at the parks. :cutie:

So, that’s all the stuff we have been up to lately. Update Time!!!

Day 7 – Last Day

June 1st

So, this is our last day at Disney World. It makes me sad to even think about. :sad2: We have a good portion of the day to spend in a park. Well, as you may have noticed, there is one park we have yet to visit.

Animal Kingdom

7527_1113207028948_1190070014_30633906_7068037_n.jpg

As I have mentioned before, this is our least favorite park. We still like it, but not enough to use a whole day here. I think we can accomplish everything we want to do in the time we have available. Here are our Must Do’s.

Animal Kingdom Must Do’s:
1) FOTLK
2) Everest
3) Dinosaur
4) Meet Pocahontas
5) Tough to be a Bug
6) Rafiki’s Planet Watch

Andddd….that’s it. Yea I know, see that’s why we don’t need a full day for AK. The only reason Rafiki’s Planet Watch is even on the list is because it’s the one area neither of us have ever visited. What is even back there?

Also, I’m sure some of you are wondering why the Safari is not on our list. Well, honestly because we find it pretty boring and there is nothing in the Safari that we can’t see at our local zoo that is literally 2.5 miles from my house. :confused3

We will probably ride Everest and Dinosaur multiple times. In my opinion, Everest is the best rollercoaster in the parks. I really love it. Dinosaur is super exciting and scares me!! So, obviously I love it! I am hoping to eat at Flame Tree BBQ for lunch. We ate at Restaurantosaurus last time. It was good but I hear so many good reviews of Flame Tree BBQ. Yummm.

We will be in the park until about 2pm on this day. I am guessing Magical Express will want to pick us up at 3pm at Pop Century because our flight out of Orlando is at 6pm. I hate leaving and it will be super sad. Our flights back should be easier than coming to WDW. We will be flying American Airlines on the way back and we only have one stop in Dallas (much more preferred than Chicago) and should arrive back in Wichita at 10pm that evening. :sad1:

Ok, I am done talking about the leaving part. It is no fun and I don’t want to do it!!

I can’t believe that our trip is in like two days! WOHOO!!! Tomorrow will be really busy for Sam and I. We have our nail appointments at 10am and will spend the rest of the day getting ready! I will try to get on here tomorrow night and say bye to you all.

I plan to tweet live from the parks (not a ton but a little). So, feel free to follow me: @JWondra

Thank you everyone who followed along with me. I plan to do a TR when we return and I will post a link here when I return and get it started. Just a warning though, I probably will not start the TR until the middle of June because I leave for a week vacation to Colorado two days after I get back from WDW.

hahaha I was meaning to do it like the commercial and then I did it BACKWARDS. I am just failing at these comments lately hahah! BUT YAY RED ROBIN YUMMMM! :rotfl:

I forgive you for your Red Robin mistake :lmao: I still understood what you were meaning to do!!

I've been out of town for a few days... have LOTS to catch up on!

CONGRATS on the new job! That's awesome news! :cheer2:

Happy {belated} Birthday to Sam and glad to hear she had a great day. Red Robin is my mom's favorite... I can't say "Red Robin" without going "Yum!" in my head, LOL!

Yay, your trip is only days away! :woohoo:

Thank you!!! I am so excited for my new job!!
We did have a great day for Sam's birthday!
I think everyone says the "Yummm" in their head, even if they don't admit it! :rotfl:
I can't believe our trip came so fast!!!

Aww, I love the Rapunzel cupcakes, how cute! :cool1: And your headbands sound adorable, I might have to borrow that idea for my next trip, although I'm so NOT crafty at all! :rotfl2:

Your plans for Animal Kingdom sound great! :thumbsup2 I love Everest, it is probably the best roller coaster in Disney! I love RnRC, but sometimes it gives me a headache, and I think it's a bit too short, which is why I like Everest a bit more! And you can't get a more awesome theme!

Can't believe your trip is almost here! I can't wait to see your nails!
