Snow White lived with 7 Men, thats CRAZY! Girls Only Trip-May 2012! *WE ARE LEAVING!*

Your MK day looks great! :cool1: Chef Mickey's is fun, that was my first character dining experience a few years ago, the characters are really cute and take their time with you, which is nice! :thumbsup2

I'm not sure if you can meet the Beast in MK, I think he's only in Epcot with Belle? I know he's out in MK at parties, but I'm not sure about every day. :confused3 I want to meet Belle and the Beast together too, that would be amazing! :woohoo:

Your flip flops are so cute and they look really comfy, where can you buy those? I usually use Teva Mush flip flops but i think I'd like to try something different on this next trip, the Tevas just aren't as comfy as I remember!

OH MY GOSH!!!! You're going on the monorail for the first time?!?! That's like almost as exciting as the trip itself! THE MONORAIL IS SO AMAZING. I can't even explain why. It just IS.

OOH Chef Mickey's! Should be fun!
If you want to meet the Beast, Epcot is the place to go! He doesn't appear at MK. :(

Your day sounds awesome! Late night EMH are the best! MICKEY MAIL! How long ago did you get that? My trip's in 95 days and I've probably been on the lookout for a couple weeks now...

First time on the monorail? Well that deserves a :woohoo:

We like breakfast at Chef Mickey's! They have so much to choose from, that even if you're not a big breakfast eater, you will find plenty that you like!

We got our Disney mail today, too!

I think it's 100% great that you're going to wear a Disney bow that you wore when you were younger!

Thank you! I'm glad to hear they take their time with you. I am hoping we'll get the same amount of time as tables with little ones.
We will look for Beast in Epcot then!! It would be so neat to meet them together!!
Thank you! They are so comfy too. I got them at Famous Footwear for $40, they were on sale and I believe the original price was $50. I love them! I tried on Tevas and they were not comfy enough for me.

I KNOW!!! It will definitely deserve a happy dance!! And I don't care who will be watching. haha. I will probably be bouncing around in excitement :hyper:
Thanks for the tip on Beast. I will look out for him in Epcot. :thumbsup2
I got my Mickey Mail last Saturday. Sooo, 35 days out. I don't think they send it until you hit that 45 day mark, but I could be wrong.

Thanks for the info on Chef Mickey's!! I'm sure I'll be able to find plenty!
YAY for DISNEY MAIL!!! Its an awesome feeling!
I will have to take pics of the bow in my hair. Sam braided my hair really cute into a low side bun and clipped the bow right above the bun. It was ADORABLE!

Time for a new update! WOHOO!! I am also happy to announce that it’s May (in case you hadn’t noticed!), which means that WE’RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD THIS MONTH!!!!!!!

Day 3 Plans!!
Monday- May 28th

Today, we will be waking up and heading towards….

Hollywood Studios!!!!

I cannot express my love for this park enough. :lovestruc Honestly, I think Hollywood Studios is tied for first place with Magic Kingdom. I can never tell you my favorite park because I love them both so much. (By the way, Epcot is my second favorite and Animal Kingdom is a distant third.)

I love Hollywood Studios for many reasons:
1) My favorite ride EVER: Tower of Terror
2) Rock’n’Rollercoaster and Toy Story Mania are amazing.
3) Beauty and the Beast show
4) The emphasis on animation and art of the movies

I do think that there is a lot of area for the park to be improved though…like what’s up with all the area surrounding Toy Story Mania and the Streets of America?? There is definitely “filler” room that Disney needs to fill in. This is probably the only reason that Hollywood Studios is not my favorite.

So, the Hollywood Studios hours for our day are 9am-12pm. We are hoping, even though this is Memorial Day, that the crowds will not be too crazy. All the Star Wars people will not be there, since it is not the weekend, and don’t people that go to WDW for Memorial Day usually go to Magic Kingdom for the day??

We will get there before park opening, even though we were up til about 2am the night before. Who needs sleep!! We have to be there for park opening to make the Toy Story Mania dash for FP. We are still debating if we ride stand-by and grab tickets for later or if we should grab FP then ride standby. I’m guessing we will ride then grab FP because our day is pretty open.
I love how this queue is themed!!

After riding Toy Story Mania, we will make our way to the
BEST RIDE EVER CREATED IN THE HISTORY OF FOREVER!

7527_1113210189027_1190070014_30633985_1001790_n.jpg

This is both Sam and my favorite ride. We will ride it as much as possible today. I’m guessing 4-6 times depending on wait times.

See how excited Sam is:
7527_1113210229028_1190070014_30633986_4608940_n.jpg

We will also ride Rock’n’Rollercoaster while we are in the area. We rode this only 1 time on our last trip. When we rode, we were in the very back of our car and we did not like it. It was so jerky and actually hurt my neck a little. Sam rode it again with Victor on their last trip and said it isn’t as bad if you sit more towards the front of the vehicle. So, we will be sure to ask to ride near the front if it looks like we will be near the back.

Another attraction we will be sure to go to is the Beauty and the Beast Live Stage Show!!! :cloud9: With our love for Beauty and the Beast, this is a MUST DO! We saw it twice on our last trip and it is wonderful!

7527_1113209869019_1190070014_30633977_1454281_n.jpg

This show is just fantastic!!

For the rest of our day, we have several MUST DO’s:
1) Get the RED VELVET CHEESECAKE CUPCAKE from Starring Roles.
2) Star Tours
3) Indiana Jones show (never done this one)
4) Lights Motor Action show
5) Great Movie Ride—crossing my fingers for the COWBOY SIDE
6) Studio Backlot Tour (never done this one)
7) Little Mermaid (heard its been refurbished since our last trip in ’09)
8) Magic of Disney Animation
9) Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream (never seen this)

We do not have dining reservations for today. During our last trip, we ate at the Sci-Fi Dine in Theater and Mama Melrose- which were both great. We thought about 50’s Prime Time, but there were a few resort restaurants we wanted to try on this trip so we decided against it. So, we will probably grab from the closest quick service. Last time we also ate at Pizza Planet and sadly, we were not very impressed so we will probably do something different. Any suggestions on the best quick service in Hollywood Studios? :confused3

Later in the evening, we plan to catch Fantasmic. I am hoping they will add a second showing of Fantasmic on this day. I am sure this show will be packed with it being Memorial Day and I don’t want to waste a ton of time standing in a mass of people. So we will see how that goes…

Next up, we will go flying, swimming and traveling/eating around the world!

I've been hearing that they haven't been doing the official 'rope drop' in the mornings any more. I guess the MAD DASHES were just becoming way too much! I think that's pretty awesome, and it's good that you're planning to get there early so maybe you can avoid the TSM craziness! :thumbsup2

Hmm... I wish I could help with the quick service options! I've pretty much only done table service there. The only quick service places I have been to are Pizza Planet and Rosie's All American Cafe. Rosie's wasn't that great, to be honest. It was just average quick service stuff. Maybe just try looking at all the options listed under DHS on disneyworld.com and then look up the menus online? That might work! :goodvibes

Great plans for DHS! I LOVE that park so much! :lovestruc Epcot is definitely my number one favorite park, but DHS and MK are a close second...and like you, AK is a distant third! :rotfl:

AHHHH isn't Tower of Terror the best ride ever??? I'm obsessed with that ride! :woohoo: It's my favorite ride, I have to ride it multiple times every time I go to DHS! If I found out it was going to be closed on one of my trips, like Test Track is now, I'd seriously postpone my trip, there's no way I could go to Disney and NOT do Tot! :yay:

Like Marissa said, I think they have done away with the mad dash for TSM, but I'm not 100% sure...I'm going to ask people on the Theme Parks boards what's been going on lately!

This may be a dumb question, but how would they prevent the mad dashes? Won't everyone still head straight to TSM? I will have to do some more research later like you suggested. I'm sure we will find something delicious to snack on!

HS is honestly the park I look forward to going to the most. Even though I have a blast in all of them. Probably because of ToT! If I found out it would be closed while I was planning to be there I would do the SAME THING!! I would be heartbroken to not ride ToT while at Disney. I will ask you the same thing I asked Marissa, how will/do they prevent the mad dash to TSM? Everyone knows to go there first, so I don't know how they prevent it. :confused3 Let me know what you find out!!

I'm not entirely sure! I've heard from a few people who have been to Disney in March/April, maybe even earlier, that they have started to let people in before opening time so that everyone isn't heading over there at once. Like instead of doing a big count down and everyone rushing off and trampling each other hahaha. I guess we'll have to wait and see! I wish I knew more!

Yeah that's pretty much what I have heard...apparently they are letting people in 15-30 minute before the park opens, but they aren't telling people they are doing it, so that prevents the whole mad dash situation. I'm planning on getting there 30-45 minutes before the park opens so hopefully it works out! Actually, I'm going to go ask the people on the Theme Parks boards if this is still happening, they all seem to know everything over there! :thumbsup2

(Edit-ok, I just posted a question about it over on the Theme Parks board, so we'll see what kind of answers I get!)

This would make sense. If thats the case I will definitely be getting there early!!

I am anxiously awaiting what the all-knowing Theme Park boards tell us :worship: haha!

ToT is my favorite ride, too! But my DH won't ride it... rides that drop make him sick. So I'll have to ride it by myself during our trip. Ah, well.

And I have to sit in the front of RnR, too! I agree, towards the back is too jerky and too loud. Or it just seems that way, for some reason.

The only CS places I've had at DHS are Pizza Planet and Catalina Eddie's... and I had pizza at both places. I'm thinking about lunch at Starring Rolls on our trip. We're on the Dining Plan, and you can get one of the cupcakes as your dessert! I've had the Red Velvet one before... have you? It's very yummy. Hoping to try the Chocolate Peanut Butter or Butterfinger one in October!

I think what the PPs have posted about DHS opening before the posted opening time is correct from what I've read.

Unfortunately, there aren't many counter service options at DHS that impress me. It seems as if they're about all the same.

That is too bad your husband gets sick on ToT :( I am glad that I am not the only one who thinks the back seats are rough on RnR. Sam mentioned last night that her and her husband ate at the ABC Commissary and they had a few different options, so we will probably eat there once.

I have not had any of the cupcakes from Starring Roles. We plan to try the Red Velvet Cheesecake on this trip! I'm very excited to try it. The Chocolate PB and Butterfinger sound delicious also!!

I'm excited that everyone is saying that HS is just opening a little "early" to avoid the mad dash to TSM. We will be sure to get there early!

I had thought the same thing about the CS there. Sam ate at the ABC Commissary last time and said it was good so we will probably eat there once.

Well, I'm a little late to the dance party... so it's now time for a "Less than 3 weeks!!" dance!

:cool1::cool1::yay::yay::cheer2::cheer2::banana: :banana:

Your trip will be here before you know it! :woohoo:

Alright, time for another update!! A lot has gone on since I last posted, and I have a few new things/ changes to update you all about!!

First, Monday was my birthday. I turned 24…I’m now “mid-twenties”. I know this is not old…but I feel old. Haha. I had a great day! I substituted at my favorite school where all the kids know me really well and I know all of them. Well, word got around (it’s a small school) that it was my birthday and several classes/students sang to me. It was precious having middle school students (6th-8th) singing to me! :lovestruc

After school, I got home and Sam came over and gave me my birthday gift: Cute shot glass and a Chocolate Bar that claims to have no calories on the wrapper! HA! :rolleyes2

After this, my parents gave me my present. I was told to shut and cover my eyes. I did this and as my mom walked out of my parents' room with my gift I could hear (not see) Sam freaking out! She was, I’m guessing, hitting the arm rests on her seat, wiggling uncontrollably:hyper:, and making sounds that I recognized as excitement- anyone who is not her best friend would have thought she was having a seizure. Well, here is the reason why:

100_1366.jpg

I HAVE THE BEST PARENTS EVER!!! How cute is this tote bag!!! I plan on using it as my carry-on bag. You can’t really tell how big it is but it will hold quite a bit!! Then I looked inside and found these:

100_1367.jpg

YAY!! Disney money!!! My parents know me very well. Needless to say, these presents made my day!

After getting my presents, we all went out to eat and Sam’s husband, Victor, met us at the restaurant. We ate at my favorite Mexican restaurant and enjoyed margaritas! They still asked for my ID! Guess I don’t look that old yet! Whew! ;) After dinner we enjoyed a delicious funfetti cake my mom had made back at our house! GREAT BIRTHDAY!!

Ok. I told you there were multiple changes. So, second change: We added a dining reservation. My last post was about Hollywood Studios and we decided, since we are spending 2 full days here, that we did not want to eat 4 counter service meals in HS. Sooooo….we booked a lunch reservation on our first day in HS (May 28th) at 12:25pm at………..

50sprimetime.jpg

50’s Prime Time Café!!! I have never eaten here and it looks so yummy and after reading about it on Marissa’s TR (marDgreen88) I decided I did NOT want to wait until our next trip to eat here. I did not have to twist Sam’s arm very hard…ok not at all… to add another TS meal!! I’m so excited to eat here!

We have another dining change also! But I’m not going to tell you about it until I write that day’s report for you! I know, I know, the suspense is killer!

Finally, I wanted to update you all on a few of my recent Disney wardrobe purchases. I expressed my love for sundresses earlier in my PTR, well I found another that I could not resist. Here it is:

100_1369.jpg

It is so cute and the fabric is very light and comfy! I got it at Target. Love it! So now I have 5 dresses I will be taking! (I don't know why this is sideways, I tried to fix it several times :confused3)

Also, I have been searching for a cute tankini top that also covers everything! Well, I finally found one. It is adorable.

100_1368.jpg

I got this at Sports Authority and was super happy with the fit! Excited to wear it swimming! (Also, don't know why this is sideways either :confused3 dumb photobucket!)

Ok, so there are all the new updates/changes…for now! Haha.

Now- on with the update!

Day 4 Plans

Tuesday- May 29th

We will be heading back to Epcot!

This will be a pretty long and busy day for us! Epcot’s hours are from 9am-12am with EMH.

Here are our MUST DO’s for Epcot:
ALL the Pavillions
Spaceship Earth
The Seas with Nemo
Soarin’
Mission Space (GREEN side)
Maelstrom
The Three Caballeros
Illuminations
The American Adventure
Disney Visa picture at Innovations

We plan to get there and grab FP for Soarin’ and then jump in the stand by line. I decided we should grab the FP before riding Soarin’ because we’d like to try and ride it twice before our lunch reservations!

We will then probably ride a few more rides in Future World. A lot of this depends on what we didn’t get to or want to do again from our first half day at Epcot. Around noon, we will head towards the World Showcase to make it to our lunch reservation at 12:30pm. We will head towards:

norwaypav.jpg

And we will dine among royalty at:

Akershussign.jpg

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall!!!!!

I’m so excited for this character lunch! Mostly because we will get to meet the princesses while eating, but also because a lot of the food is Scandinavian. I am part Swedish and I really enjoy Swedish food and trying new things. Yum!

After lunch, we will wander around the World Showcase. I know we want to try and catch Beast with Belle. I hope we can do this! We will probably spend most of our afternoon exploring in the World Showcase but I wouldn’t be surprised if we wandered back into Future World also. But around 6:30, we will have to be headed towards our dinner reservations at 7pm. We will need to be headed towards:

japanepcot.jpg

Because we have an oriental feast waiting for us at:

teppanedosign.jpg

teppanedo.jpg

After our amazing dinner, we will probably wander the showcase some more and as it gets close to Illuminations we will have to grab a Grey Goose Slush from France. Any advice on a good spot to watch from?

Once Illuminations is over, we will spend the EMH riding whatever we want and just enjoy being in Disney!

:yay:17 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!:yay:

Hello! Just wanted to stop by and make a few comments.

I think 50's Prime Time is definitely a great choice for a restaurant on a DHS day! I've eaten there almost every time I've gone, and it's always been good.

Also loving your outfit choices, as well as your backpack! I've been looking for a good Disney backpack for my trip in June, I wonder if they still have any on sale. And your Minnie Mouse necklace is adorable!

Yay for Mickey Mail! We got ours a couple of days ago too! I am like you, I LOVE Tower of Terror. My Disney trip is not complete until I have ridden it. If it was ever closed for some reason during our trip, I'm pretty sure I would cry. What a cute bag! Love the Disney purchases!

Glad you had a great birthday! AHH that tote bag is just adorable! Your parents are awesome... I'm just imagining the damage I could do with 100 Disney dollars... it's beautiful.

AHH!! I'm glad you decided to go to 50's!!! I hope yall love it as much as we did!

Cute buys! Your day sounds awesome. I've never been to either of those restaurants, but I'm going to Akershus this summer for lunch too and I'm really excited! Can't wait to hear what you think!
