Ughhh, I can't believe DHS was full! Good thing you were staying at a Disney resort, see the perks it can bring! To think you almost missed out on that cupcake! I think I might just have to get that one and the Butterfinger one in May, because there's no way I can decide! I'll just bring one back to the room with me!

What kind of camera did you get? Your zoom is amazing!!

Yay, the monorail shirt! I've wanted that forever too, but Brandon actually ended up buying it, so I suppose that's close enough!

I'm joining! We actually overlapped by a few days! We were there from 12/30/11 to 1/7/12.

So, when I saw your title, I IMMEDIATELY starting singing The Creep! "Do the creep aaaaahhhhh......do the creep aaaaahhhh!" Love it!

Good thing you guys were staying on property. They always close parks that are at capacity in phases, so it's always worth it to check. First it's the non resort public, then it's good neighbor hotels, then it's resort guests, and then it's annual passholders (I believe it's that order).

Can't wait to hear more!

Coming in a little late, I was trying to get over my disappointment in the photos. Gas station pictures, prices, how much gas you put in your car but NO car pictures? No gas gauge pictures before and after?

Seriously though, I've enjoyed your trip reports before and this one is fun as well.

I'm SO glad you guys made it into DHS! I would have cried too if we weren't able to get into our first park of the trip. I was worried that you weren't going to get in for a minute. That is so awesome that the CM let you guys in (HOORAY for staying on-site)!

May I ask what camera you upgraded to? Your "creepy-ness" with your new camera is too funny (and the zoom is impressive)! We're thinking of retiring my old "point and shoot" for something nicer before our upcoming trip (we just booked today -- I'm so excited!), and would love to hear any reviews or opinions.

Alright, I'm two updates behind!? That's just insane. WHY IS LIFE SO BUSY!?

The weather was absolutely PERFECT this past December. I can not express my gratitude. I literally was so happy the entire time because it was so sunny and beautiful and perfect!

I love Pool movies. Ahh they're like a Disney resort staple. And the room looks really nice!

.......Except for that bathroom. What the.....?

Oh my God, the only rooms with King Sized Beds are handicap accessible?! Are you joking?! That makes no sense at all!

I am a big fan of how ASMo is decorated, though. It's really adorable!

I have to just say that the southern phrase "bless her heart" is just about the finest American idiom there is Women from the northern states are just completely jealous that we do not have such a delightfully perfect way of punctuating a statement. Sorry to disappoint with the lack of gas station pictures! I should have taken a picture of the sale ad for Coke products and the trash that I threw into the trashcan. Next time I'll do better!

I was SO scared we wouldn't be able to get in! Thank goodness for Disney resort perks!

My new camera is still a point and shoot, but it's one of the better ones I think. It's a Nikon Coolpix S9100. I think it's a pretty good camera for vacations...I highly recommend it! You can get them for a pretty good price, they're small and easy to carry, and take really nice pictures!

When I left off we were enjoying ourselves in DHS! Because of the crowds we still hadn’t been on any rides, but we didn’t mind that. We had been doing lots of other fun things, and now it was time for our first ADR of the trip! Where did we eat, you ask? Well, if you’ve ready my other TRs I’m sure you can probably guess…

Sci Fi Dine in Theater! Haha, I feel kind of strange because I just wrote an update about eating at Sci Fi from our June 2011 trip in my other TR. I guess that’s what I get for taking nine months to finish a trip report! Anyway, like I mentioned in my other TR, John and I eat at Sci Fi every trip. It’s one of our Disney staples, and a trip doesn’t feel complete without a visit there!

We checked in, and as usual the place was in total chaos. I feel like the hosts/hostesses at Sci Fi must have insanely high blood pressures, because it’s always so frantic in there. And as usual, there was about 1,096 people trying to walk in without an ADR. And probably about 875 of those people had parties of 7+. We need to get these people on board with the DIS, I’m telling ya. Heh..on board. See what I did there?

Within about ten minutes we were being “parked” in the back of a red car with two other couples in front of us. I kind of like being in the back because I don’t have people staring at the back of my head while I’m eating.

Gotta love the atmosphere in this place!

As usual when we eat here, John ordered a milkshake as his drink and I got a Diet Coke with cherry flavoring. I know I’m weird for not seizing the opportunity to get a delicious milkshake as my beverage, but I can’t resist the fountain drinks here.

I was very excited to see they had added some new choices to the menu. I decided to go with the picnic burger, which was basically a hamburger with a hotdog on it. What is this brilliance? All the millions of cookouts I’ve been to, and it never occurred to me to put the hotdog on the hamburger! GENIUS!

Oh my gosh, that thing was GOOD. Like, exceptionally good. I have no recollection and no photo of what John ordered, so I guess it wasn’t nearly as exciting as my picnic burger. I felt so bad for the lady in front of me, because by the time our food came they were finishing up, and she turned around and asked me what I was having. I told her, and she asked what was on it. Turns out she had ordered the picnic burger too, but the waitress had accidently brought her a regular burger so she didn’t get a hotdog on hers. I didn’t realize this at first, so I was like, “It’s got a hotdog on it, and it is SO GOOD. Delicious, fabulous, wonderful…blah blah blah.” If I had known that this was what she had wanted I wouldn’t have bragged about it as much. I told her she should say something to the waitress, but she didn’t want to. Poor girl! She missed out on a great burger!

For dessert John and I both got ice cream sundaes! I think that Sci Fi has the best ice cream sundaes that I’ve ever had!

See the two cherries on top? Lucky for me, John is a crazy person and doesn’t like cherries, so I always get his! Yet another reason why he’s my perfect match!

When our check came I noticed something really cute that I hadn’t noticed before!

Have the bills always said “speeding ticket” on them? I loved that! This is the first time in my life I’ve ever been happy to get a speeding ticket, that’s for sure! We were on the DDP this trip, so we settled our tip and said goodbye to our lovely Sci Fi!

We made our way out and continued to mosey through DHS. I saw some interesting sights while we walked.

Phineas and Ferb! I’ll be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever seen an entire episode of Phineas and Ferb, but I’ve seen bits and pieces. They’re pretty cute! I saw the boy who does the voice of Phineas on the Disney Channel one day, and it was SO weird watching him “turn on” the Phineas voice. It kind of freaked me out. One minute he’s talking normal, then his voice is a Phineas-ed out, and when he does the Phineas voice his eyes get really big, like he’s surprising even himself with the weirdness of it.

Aanyway, then we saw this lovely lady!

Okay can I just say, I FINALLY watched the new Muppets movie last night and I was so impressed! I felt like it really stayed true to the personalities of the characters, but it was so fun and fresh! It was absolutely hilarious, and I loved all of the celebrity cameos! The Moopets cracked me up, especially Miss Poogy. I give it two thumbs up…mahna mahna!

Alright so we had been in the park for several hours at this point, and we still hadn’t ridden anything. By this point it was dark out, but we still weren’t ready to attempt a ride. We had something else in mind entirely…any guesses?!
