Snow White Does the Creep on the Trip that Almost Wasn't A Dec 11/Jan 12 TR 7/24 NEW

Now don't ask me how I know this, but I believe the stage is called the RocketTower Plaza. I always think of that show that used to be on Nickelodeon when I hear that name, though. Hahaha... "WE ARE RIDERS ON A MISSION." Do you remember this??? Moving on...

OMG. I want to see Pluto and Goofy cutting a rug!!! Could their outfits be any more awesome??? No. They could not. But why did all those people have to ruin your moment? Couldn't they sense that they were not worthy? Whatever... sometimes people just don't get it!!!

HAHAHA! I can just picture those teenage boys being thrown for a loop. They probably said something like, "She's supposed to think we're annoying."

OMG we're too alike. I do the same thing for Dumbo (running to my favorite color). And I always get genuinely upset when someone ELSE gets to the pink one first. Sigh... Disney problems.

You know this because you're AWESOME, that's why. Thank you for that factoid. And for getting the Rocket Power theme song stuck in my head.

Seriously, space Goofy and Pluto dancing alone...best moment ever, ruined by other tourists. Grrrr. The only thing that could have made it worse would be if it had been a Brazilian tour group that cut in.

Haha that was exactly what they looked like they were thinking! So basically I was like I'M MORE IMMATURE THAN YOU!

We really are so alike. When our insanely amazing Disney trip happens we will make sure we get the purple teacup and the pink Dumbo! :thumbsup2

That's so dociousalliexpisticfragicalirupus that you guys are going in so few days! And you picked some great places to eat. Pfffttt. There's no such thing as too much food. And TIW comes in sooooo handy.

I absolutely love your crazy face on the teacups. :lmao:

Haha thank you!! :goodvibes We are so excited! I'm really happy with our ADRs. You're right...too much food at Disney? That's an oxymoron.

Yay! I'm glad to hear you like the TiW card! I'm excited to try it.

Haha thank you! John spins that thing so fast! :rotfl:

The wedding is finally OVER so I can catch up on your trip report, YAY!!!

Awww, it stinks that you had to be in pain and bummed out about ASMo. But yay for a new Jim Shore figurine! When I see them, I always think about you! And yay for switching resorts!

I absolutely love that theme park snacks toy set too! I have already picked out things for my future kiddies, and part of me wonders if I should buy things now since they may not be there for long. I want that food toy set as well as the cute Star Wars squishy figurines since Howard is all about Star Wars and those squishy ones are kinda cute!

Haha, we went to Kona on our honeymoon, and I had a chance to try the bread too! I read Jess's TRs, so I distinctly remember the video of her eating the bread. I actually was expecting NOT to like it because I know people like the 'Ohana one, and I don't. Oh man, I was so glad to be proved wrong! That bread was AMAZING. That butter was AMAZING. Howard and I obliterated that thing. You're absolutely adorable for getting nervous about eating the bread though, haha.

Wow, you got some great action on the safari! I think the most fun part of that for us was the bumpy ride! Definitely need to do it again.

You got great shots of little "Walter"! That's exactly why we stayed in the gorilla area for so long too; I love baby animals! The CM that was there told us that it likes chasing this little bunny around! I have a bit of it on video. So cute!

Now that I'm officially married, I have to say that reading about your fights with John is even more "interesting" because it makes me think about the fights Howard and I can/will have. I know that I'm extremely stubborn and stubborn, and I know that I may not really be the one that apologizes first, but now that we're married, I can't have that be the way it always is! Howard is such a sweetie though because he will usually break the ice first! If anything, it just gives us reasons to dote on our husbands even more for being better :)

Unfortunately, Howard and I didn't like Yak and Yeti as much as you guys did. I think we were expecting to be blown away. The food was good, but we had had Sanaa earlier in the honeymoon, and we were comparing everything to that! Plus, our server wasn't the greatest, so I think that played a big role. I had wanted to see if I could ask the server for just ONE cream cheese wonton since neither of should be eating it due to being lactose intolerant, but I didn't bother. I still want to try it!!!

What a cute lady taking all those pictures of you two at Pepper Market! Haha. Love that you posted each one!

Yay! Ringing in the New Year on the tram!

The gingerbread castle is so cute! We were just there, so we saw the sandcastle. I think I would prefer to see the gingerbread though! The summer thing has Phineas and Ferb in it too.

Howard and I can be ridiculous wavers on rides too! It's so much fun! We don't do it anywhere else because that kind of behavior would be really odd in New York, so Disney is the only place where we wave wave wave!

Yay! I'm so glad you're back! I saw some of your wedding pics on FB and you look absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations again! Are you planning on doing a Disneymoon TR?

I was so relieved when my foot stopped hurting and we got out of ASMo! Haha I'm glad you think of me when you see Jim Shore figurines! I love them so much! I'm actually watching him on QVC right now.

I'm the same way about stocking up on toys for future children. I always think I should go ahead and buy something I really like just in case it's not available when I actually have kids!

I'm so glad you and Howard loved THE BREAD too! I think it's seriously my favorite bread in Disney, although the pretzel bread at Le Cellier is a close second.

AHHH I need to see this video of Walter chasing a bunny. That sounds like it might be like a cuteness overload. :rotfl:

Awww Howard sounds a lot like John. I'm really stubborn too, so John usually has to be the one to end the argument. We're lucky ladies, ya know? ;)

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy Yak & Yeti! :( I have heard mixed reviews, so I guess it's hit or miss. I can see where it wouldn't really live up to your expectations if you have a place like Sanaa on your mind too!

That lady was so sweet! That was really a funny experience!

I'm so excited to see the sand castle version of Cinderella castle! The gingerbread castle is really cool too; you'd love it!

You're right, Disney is the perfect place to wave like a maniac on a ride! We do it all the time too! :rotfl:

Woohoo! I now have a new excuse when partaking in too many adult beverages. :drinking1

I'm not tipsy...I've been riding the teacups!

(BTW, I've started my TR and DW will kill me when I post my favorite pic from the rear view. I put this comment in ()'s because no one else can see it but you...right? That's how it works, right?) :sad2:

HAHA that sounds like a good excuse. I just wouldn't try it on any police officers...I doubt they understand Disney rides like we do! :rotfl:

Suuuure...that's how it works....good luck with that! ;) Enjoying your TR, by the way! :)

Whoot! I'm all caught up! Looks like new years eve was a little hectic, but new years day made up for it! You guys accomplished a lot! I'm excited to read about your meeting with Jess!

Yay! :goodvibes Yeah NYE is always insane, but I've found that New Years Day is very calm. I guess everyone is sleeping off the night before!

We're so CLOSE!!! Eeeeep! I can't wait to meet up too! :goodvibes

Aww well I'm so glad that helped! I hope you love it just as much as I did! :thumbsup2

That's a great idea! I would love to!

AHHH I'm down to 24 days! Which means you're at 30, right? THAT'S SO SOON. :woohoo:

I'm sure we will love it! It sounds amazing!

Haha Marissa, I had to borrow your quote because you said "Disney problems", LOVE IT! I think/say that all the time! :rotfl:

Anyway, Joni, your Instagram pics are so cute! I have to get Instagram, I downloaded it onto my phone, then got nervous about it and deleted it! I also have to join Twitter...I'm just nervous I'm not going to be able to figure them out. I mean, it took me forever to get comfortable with Facebook...I have problems. :sad2:

That picture of futuristic Goofy reminds me of the end of Revenge of the Nerds, the part where they do there little song and dance! :rotfl:

I can't believe you can spin so crazily on those teacups! I can handle roller coaster, ToT, but spinny rides bother me sometimes!

Your MSEP pics are cute, I have to admit. The parade looks adorable, but that MUSIC! UGH!!! I wish I could watch the parade but listen to the Spectro music! :yay:

Thank you! :goodvibes I was hesitant about getting Instagram (and Twitter) too, but I finally gave in and I think I'm starting to understand them both!

HAHA ahh you're right! :rotfl:

My dad gets SO sick on spinning rides. I love them, although I do get kind of woozy afterward!

Thank you! AHH the music is the best part! I know I am a total freak for loving that music, but I just can't help it! :goodvibes

Hope you are enjoying your Non-Disney vacation! We will be at Topsail Island for the weekend of the 4th. We've stayed before and looking forward to our relaxing vacation before our next Disney vacation!

Thank you so much! :goodvibes We have had a great trip. We are actually heading home tomorrow. That's so cool that you are coming to Topsail too! Where are you from? This is our first trip here and we have really enjoyed it, although the mosquitoes are insane!

Enjoyed the update. The tea cups is one of the few rides I never do as it makes me kind of sick. When our kids were little my DH and my friends DH took all the kids on it but told them it was broke and they could not spin it. We still joke about it to this day. On the next trip we just started letting them go on by themselves.

I love Pecos Bills, both the burger and the taco salad are great with the toppings bar.

Can't wait to hear what happens next.

I loved your photos of Wishes! Soooo pretty! I can't wait to see the Magic Memories and You! 6 DAYS!!!!! Eeep!!

I would love to stay on the People Mover and be moved all day! :thumbsup2 What a great idea! :lmao:

I love the fixins bar too! It can get very overwhelming though!

How exciting that you were able to meet Jess! :goodvibes That is awesome! Can't wait to hear about it!

I'm from Georgia, west of Atlanta. And my brother is stationed at New River with his wife and kiddies. :goodvibes Boo on mosquitos!!! Not looking forward to that!

I love your TRs and your writing style. I'm looking to try my first one out after our trip in September.

We will see how that goes. :scared:

Thanks! :) I understand what you mean, my dad can't even stand to look at spinning rides without getting nauseous. That's a good plan if you don't feel like spinning! :thumbsup2

I haven't tried the taco salad yet but I bet it would be great! That burger was delicious! :goodvibes

Wouldn't that be fun? I think it would be a great place to take a nap, too!

There's so many choices! I always feel like I missed getting something that I really wanted.

It was great meeting her! She's just as sweet in person. :goodvibes

That's cool! My dad works in GA a lot! Yeah I would definitely recommend taking some Off or Cutter or some other mosquito repellant, but it is a gorgeous island! I hope you have fun! :)

Thank you so much! :goodvibes You should really write one, they're a lot of fun! I'd love to read it! :)

Great ADRs! Now I want DISNEY FOOOOOD! :sad2:

Thanks! :) Haha, that sounds about like every day of my life. I ALWAYS want Disney food! :rotfl:

Hi everyone! :wave2: I'm home from the beach now, and I'm trying desperately to NOT lose my mind in these final weeks before Disney. We are down to 22 DAYS! :woohoo: Also, I don't think I mentioned this before, but we are leaving on Saturday, July 7th and checking in on July 8th at the Beach Club. However, even though we aren't checking into our resort until the 8th, we are still going to arrive in Orlando on the 7th. We are staying in a hotel near Disney, and we are planning on going to get our park tickets at Shades of Green and go to DTD that night, so technically I will be in Disney in 3 WEEKS. :hyper:

I would like to give you a little bit of warning, this post is only going to have literally four pictures. I apologize profusely, but we had such an amazing and fast paced evening that I kind of ignored my camera. I should have been more considerate to all my lovely DISers! :guilty: I promise I won't make the same mistake next month!

So anyway, when we left off Jess and I had just gotten off the phone and decided to meet up! She was heading toward Tomorrowland, so I told her I would meet her at the benches near Space Mountain. John had to go to the bathroom, so he wandered off while I waited.

Within just a few minutes I recognized Jess and her mother walking toward me! I was so excited, so I waved like a maniac and ran over and we gave each other a big hug. It was so amazing meeting her in person! :goodvibes I'm sure all of you are fans of her amazing TRs (if you haven't read them, GO DO IT NOW. The link to her current TR is here, and here is the link to her TR with her best friend and one of my other favorite DIS girls, Kristen) and she is just as cool and sweet in person as she is on the DIS! We chatted for a few minutes, and then posed for some pictures!

John came back at some point and introductions were made. John is usually really shy with people he's just met, so he was pretty quiet, but it didn't take him long to warm up. After a few minutes of talking Jess realized she hadn't been on Space Mountain in a while and there was literally no wait, so we decided to go ride it! :thumbsup2 Her mother didn't really want to ride, so John, Jess and I headed to the entrance. EMHs were going on though, and Jess realized she didn't have her room key, so she ran back to her mother to get it! When she came back we literally walked onto the ride. I think we waited for like five minutes at the loading station, but it was fine because we just chatted the whole time!

After our ride on SM we went back and met up with Jess' mother in the gift shop. We stood around and talked for a while, about college, and teaching, and just loving Disney, and how great it was to meet! Seriously, these are two of the sweetest girls I have ever met, and I absolutely loved getting to know them! Talking with them was like talking with old friends, and before I knew it we had been standing there for over half an hour! Unfortunately they were leaving the next day so they had to get going. We walked them outside and said our goodbyes. :sad1: What a wonderful experience! :cloud9:

Since we were already in Tomorrowland John asked if I wanted to go ride Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. I said sure, so we headed that way!

DSCN0572.jpg

Let's be honest, I suck at this ride. I don't know what it is, but I just can't hit the stinking targets. I am a machine on TSM, but Buzz just doesn't do it for me. It's fun, but I pretty much just shoot at random the entire time.

For the first time ever, however, John did not beat me by a million points. He still beat me, but the margin wasn't that significant! Yay me! Improving to mediocrity, awww yeah!

DSCN0573.jpg

After we got off Buzz's Space Ranger Spin, something weird happened to John and me. We looked at the clock and realized it was almost 1am and the park closed at 3am. You'd think we would be tired, but no. We lost our minds, and took of through the Magic Kingdom like maniacs. It instantly became our goal to ride as much as we possibly could before the park closed. HERE WE GO.

First, we rode Winnie the Pooh. I have told you all about my obsession with Pooh characters, so you can imagine how things went down on this ride. Let's just say, when we got off John bought me a stuffed Eeyore just so I wouldn't break into tears. Yeah, I'm 25. Deal with it.

Next, we rode Peter Pan's Flight! The CMs on this ride were clearly taking advantage of the empty park, because they were acting ridiculous. They didn't even check to make sure I was safely secured in my seat. I could have fallen out at any moment. Shame on them. :sad2:

Up next was Snow White's Scary Adventures! John didn't really want to ride this one, but I made him since I knew it would be our last opportunity. It was kind of boring, but I'm glad we did it!

Next we left Fantasyland and went to Liberty Square, where we, of course, rode Haunted Mansion! It was such an amazing night, because at this point we had literally walked on to every single ride. There was no one in that park! It was perfect!

After Haunted Mansion we booked it over to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Once again, no wait. As a matter of fact, there was maybe five other people on the entire train. When we pulled back into the station, the CM told us that if there was no one waiting on our row, we could stay on for another ride! WOO HOO! This has never happened to me at Disney! Sooo...we rode it again! Can we just talk about how wonderful this ride is at night? I don't know what it is, but I enjoy 1,000 times more when I ride it after dark. When we pulled into the train station the second time, there still wasn't anyone in our row! However, two times in a row was enough for us and it was already after 2am, so we got off then.

Our last stop was Pirates of the Caribbean! Of course we walked on and had an entire boat to ourselves. Magic Kindgom at 2:30am = perfection. :thumbsup2

When we got of PoTC we knew we were almost out of time, but I was kind of hungry so we decided to find a snack. Luckily, Aloha Isle was still open, and I got a Dole Whip! It was delicious, but we were acting silly so I accidently sloshed pineapple juice all over myself and I was instantly ridiculously sticky. We're talking fly paper sticky. It was disgusting, and I kept accidently getting random pieces of trash and stuff stuck to me. John thought it was hysterical, so we cracked up like psychos all the way out of the park. :rotfl: When we were leaving the park I looked at my phone and it was 3:05am! We had officially made it all the way to the end of EMH! YAY US!

When we got back to the room I took a shower to wash the pineapple juice/random debris off of me, and when I got out John was already sound asleep. I was right behind him, and I fell asleep before I could even watch Stacey!

Up Next: Our last full day in Disney! Stay tuned!

Awww what a great Dis Meet!!! That was too cute!!

Wow what a great marathon of rides! :thumbsup2 We love evening EMH, and we are planning on using it this trip to get in a lot of rides! Ahhhh, I can't wait!!!

OMG how funny about the pineapple juice! :lmao: That is such a thing I would do too!

Yay for making to the end of EMH!!! :cool1:

GIRL... THREE WEEKS!!!!!! Omg so exciting!!! Basically I have double that amount of time but THAT'S OKAY. I'm patient hahah!

How great that you got to meet up with Jess! That frump gets around with the dis meets! :rotfl:

OMG EMH. Those are literally the best things ever! I'm jealous of your stuffed Eeyore... and I totally get it! Oh goodness.

Yall had a lot of success for EMH!!! Way to go! Omg, that's like a dream of mine to get to ride a ride (ANY RIDE) at Disney twice in a row without getting off! Hooray!

Joni, meeting you just made the last night of my Christmas trip so special! That was such a wonderful dismeet and I'm SO glad we finally got to see each other! You are honestly one of my favorite people I have met through disboards and it's hard to imagine my life without your kindness. It always brings such a smile to my face! Thank you for reading my trip reports, supplying wonderful trip reports for me to read, and for just being a great friend! You're such a sweetheart, and I am SO happy that you get to go back to Disney so soon!

This completely reminded me of something I would do. :rotfl:

Aww on the night before my 13th birthday I was on Big Thunder Mountain and they just let us stay on the ride over and over again! It made me SO happy! That ride completely defines my life ages 10-13. It's perfect. And seriously - it's SO much better at night! I agree!

Hahaha oh the Dole Whip. YOU ARE A FRUMP. I love it! :rotfl2:

Yay for lasting until 3:05am!!

Looked like you both had so much fun. I love going on all the rides at night, especially when the park is quiet.

I'm glad you both made new friends too :goodvibes

Aww, your Dismeet looks like it was so fun! I'm always so afraid to meet Dis-er's but then I think, why, obviously I'll get along with anyone who's on here, we all love Disney World!

I would LOVE to be in the Magic Kingdom until 3am! I think the latest it's ever been open when we were there has been 1, and we hardly ever make it til 1. But if it was open til 3, I'd be a little more motivated to stay til the end! You guys got so much done, I love magic hours when the park is empty! :cool1:

Joining in--Spent all afternoon reading your TR!:thumbsup2

The lonely island creep video is awesome.

Enjoyed the Golden Girls reference too. It's one of my favorite shows. It always reminds me of Disney. When my DH and I first starting going to Disney the show was always on everyone morning while we were getting ready.

I also have FOB (Fear of Birds). MY DH loves the Flights of Wonder show but I tend to spend the entire time hiding behind him.

It really as a wonderful DIS meet! :goodvibes Jess is so sweet!

Thanks! :) We were pretty proud of ourselves. I don't think I've ever been that succesful in Disney!

:rotfl: I'm such a nerd. That stuff was EVERYWHERE. Ah well, I'm glad you can relate!

Thanks! I was so proud! :lmao:

SERIOUSLY. I can't even comprehend that three weeks from right now I will be in Disney World. In the Magic Kingdom, to be exact. :woohoo:

6 weeks for you! AHH! What is happening?! We are so close!

It was so great meeting her! :thumbsup2

I wish I had taken a picture of my Eeyore, because he's super cute. I guess I could take one right now because I sleep with him every night when John's away, but really I'm just too lazy. Forgive me.

I was so excited about how many rides we rode! And staying on BTMRR was amazing!

Joni, meeting you just made the last night of my Christmas trip so special! That was such a wonderful dismeet and I'm SO glad we finally got to see each other! I seriously can't imagine how I would pass my time if I didn't have your TRs to read, and I felt like I was meeting a celebrity when we met up! Thank you for being an awesome DISer and an even more awesome friend! :goodvibes

HAHA girl I was a mess. It was literally like he was trying to pacify a toddler. Oh well, I got a cute Eeyore out of it so I'm happy! :rotfl:

That's so cool! I love that you have that memory. This is why I harbor some ill feelings toward my parents for not taking me to Disney when I was growing up. I was so deprived! :sad2:

I am a total frump. That stuff was all over me. Have you ever seen National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation when he's covered in tree sap? It was pretty much like that.

I'm glad you both made new friends too :goodvibes

Thanks! :) I was so proud of us!

It was great! You're right, going on rides when the park is almost empty is amazing!

Thank you! It was so great meeting up! :goodvibes

Staying there until 3am was seriously the best experience EVER! We had never made it that late before either, but it was totally worth it! I hope you get to do it sometime!

:welcome: Thank you for joining in!

Haha isn't it great? I love it! John randomly "does the creep" around the house, and it cracks me up. I have a video of him doing it that I really need to post.

ME TOO. I love that show so much. So, fun story, for Halloween a couple of years ago my family went to this church function and we all dressed like the Golden Girls. My mom was Sophia, my sister was Blanche, I was Rose, and MY DAD was Dorothy. It was hysterical, and we won the costume contest! :thumbsup2

I'm so glad I'm not alone with my FOB! They're pretty but terrifying! :scared:

Yup, I'll eventually do a Disneymoon TR! I also have a trip from April that I can write about as well. My plan is to finish my super old TR first though. Haha, don't want to leave anything unfinished.

What a great DIS meet! In my eyes, I see it as a celebrity meeting a celebrity, haha, when you and Jess met.

Sounds like a super fun EMH! Only later in that time period did Howard and I get on Buzz Lightyear over and over again without any wait. It took a while for people to clear out of the park, but I'm so glad we waited because MK EMH was probably the most fun I'll ever have considering I probably won't ever stay on property again. It's so awesome that you were able to get all those rides in!

Wow, I got REALLY behind on this TR. Sorry Joni... I was writing epic essays and such for my English teacher (seriously, she said a historical fiction I wrote made her cry and I got an A on it :)), but now I'm done with that and have a ton of DISTime and caught up.

Wow, looks like your trip has gone along very well since I last read about it lol I'm so jealous of you and Jess, I need a DISMeet soon (DESPERATELY)! I wants to meet some of you people because then I won't have to hold my DISer inside. :teeth: Anyways, glad you guys had a good meet! :)

I will promise to have a nice long comment your next update, rushing to get back up to speed on my long list of TRs, but I can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum
