Our trip:
Sept. 30 - Oct. 5th, 2007
Old Key West Resort
Ok so I'm just going to crash in on here though I don't really belong to any board and usually just poke my nose in at times where it don't belong.
Our trip has *unofficially* been in the planning stages since the moment I realized I was pregnant.
Ok, as soon as I got off the floor from the shock of the fact that I *was* pregnant, since DD was a *happy surprise*.
Being the Disney girl that I am, I would have had DD up to Disney a long time ago (living in South Florida we only 2 hours away for heavens sake!), but DH is not WDW's biggest fan
The conversation around her second birthday kind went like this:
Me: I want to take DD to Disney.
DH: Oh I don't think we should take her until she's 10.
Me:
Seriously....
DH: I am serious.
Me: No really, I want to take her now.
DH: Can we at least wait til she's 5?
Me: Ummm.... what is no?
So I left at that, and went into scheming mode.
How was I going get DD to Disney in a way that DH couldn't put up fight about? And that was when it hit me:
INVOLVE MY FAMILY!
The cast of fools:
DOPEY - Me (34) - The Mountain Dew-loving Disney fanatic of the family. I'll be the one with constant tears in my eyes watching my daughter's face. Oh - and the one you'll see Security dragging off Captain Jack!
(my screenname is not piraterose for nothing!)
SNEEZY - DH (34) - He gets to be Sneezy because of his habit of getting bloody noses. It was a toss up between that and the title of GRUMPY because he is not a fan of Disney and will most likely be exactly that the whole trip. Though gauging by this pic, I think Buzz Lightyear will be his favorite ride.

DOC - DDad (60) - Generally all around laid-back CPA. Pretty much will keep Grumpy on a even keel, and the carrier of the bags.
GRUMPY - DMom (58) - Mom will be tricky because you have to gauge her moods sometimes, so she gets final say on most everything, even if she says she's just along for the ride. If she can take control over two bouts with cancer - the rest of us don't stand a chance.
SLEEPY - DSis (27) - If we don't make it to rope drop, it will most likely be her doing. I'm sure she would be thrilled to know I posted this pick of her.
Sis doesn't remember too much about Disney, so is leaving the planning to Mom and I.
BASHFUL - DBIL (31) - The perfect southern boy (and perfect son-in-law in my mother's eyes). Has never been to Disney and really has no clue about anything at the parks. I am throughly looking forward to introducing him to the favorful taste of Beverly
I plan on giving him the true Disney experience!
HAPPY - DNiece (will be 20 months at time of trip) One of the most happy-go-lucky toddlers you will ever meet. (Though she is quite the drama queen when things don't quite go her way). Her nursey is classic Pooh for which I was recuited to paint clouds/sun on the ceiling and grass along the floor
Finally, my reason for making this whole trip happen:
SNOW WHITE - DD (3) - DD (aka "Boo") is a Disney fanatic in training. She has been watching Playhouse Disney since she could comprehend what a TV was. Her bedroom is classic Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan her favorte movie, Cindy is her favorite princess, and JoJo is her bedtime companion.
Next time:Scheming against the Dark Forces....
