Yes, the timing and having some of the same thing for lunch lead to the overall opinion. The chicken DID look really good, but I wanted to try so many of the other items so something had to give. I'm sure we will go back sometime in the future, but I might try some other items off the menu. If we are going for the canyon skillet we will definitely plan our meals better.

But I think I may be due for another shot at a Christmas trip next year! Maybe I'll have to wait until then to test my skills.

Rosie, please keep us updated on the big birthday bash plans. I have a small contract of points at boardwalk, I'd like to try to get in on the fun (assuming circumstances allow at that time)

Nice update, Marv! Glad that Andrew enjoyed the "fun" at WCC and that you enjoyed your meal despite having eaten too much at lunch. The pics at WCC for Christmas are very nice.

Thanks Kathy! Yes, too much at lunch AND similar items definitely had an impact! What I get for trying so hard to maximize our return on the DDP investment!

The decorations and design in general of WL definitely didn't disappoint though!!!

Isn't doing laundry on vacation the worst? I can't stand it.

Well usually it isn't that bad since we typically have a washer/dryer in the room staying in the 1BR Villas. Its a whole lot easier to just throw a load in before heading out to the parks and not having to worry about them until you get back to the room. Sitting in the laundry room waiting and "wasting" valuable park/resort time is definitely a bummer!

I would give WCC another chance but the skillet didn't WOW me... it was ok but I was expecting a little more... (quality not food)

Glad the boys got in on some of the antics... we had fun there too.

I'm sure we will probably go again sometime. Agree somewhat on the skillet. The brisket was really good and overall it was good MOOD food! We did have a good time though!

Bummer on missing the Studios, but I have faith you had the chance to see the Osbourne lights

We still had some opportunities! Osborne lights are definitely worth the effort!

Sorry your meal was a little less than you expected, but it sounds like Andrew had ad great time! I think sometimes rest is just in order on vacation. Glad you will be rested up for your next big day! (I am not allowed to have smileys tonight - it's driving me crazy!)

Yes, we were definitely determined to make rope drop the next day at DHS so getting to turn in earlier wasn't a bad thing at all. Hard to get some of my crowd moving early in the mornings though.........

Drew is not shy at all about joining in on things, or being the center of attention. I actually did my rendition of Tea Pot at 50s PTC. I was ratting out the Dad at the next table to the waitress who was serving both of us, so when she made him get up to sing, she made me join him for being a "tattle-tale" to my cousin!

Glad to see Andrew got into mixing it up with the server. I had the same experience with the apple pie there. Several years ago, they cooked it properly, and it was the best restaurant apple pie I'd ever had. This past visit, it had crunchy apples. Cook it a little longer, and it's a great pie.
