I knew my good friend Kathy would like that second picture since Stitch is one of her favorite characters….

Gee, thanks, Marv. You are just so sweet to post the picture of that adorable little guy!!!:mad::mad:

QUOTE]

This is a great picture of you and your bride!

I'm sorry it took me so long to get over here for the updates...work was hectic and then our snow day was hectic. Life has just been too darn hectic.

I notice that Molly and I are listed LAST on the list for the contest. Hmmm...coincidence??????

I'll never get bonus points as I'm not very creative so looks as if another contest I start will end up in the toilet.

It sounds like you guys all had a great first night at the MK. And the pictures of the castle are absolutely breathtaking.

Already started working on it so I can come up with the next round of contest questions. (I guess I can go back and delete that one about who I was hoping to have a DISmeet with now......) Just kidding! I hate we were probably so close to running into each other, and still missed!

Well shoot! I apologize for ruining the quiz. Seriously, I was really hoping to run into you guys too, even though other than a mom, dad, and three older boys, I had absolutely no idea who I was looking for!!! :rotfl2:

I was so wrong to argue over my points. I am so humbled to have them. :worship:
That's better!!! You are forgiven! ;)
Gee, thanks, Marv. You are just so sweet to post the picture of that adorable little guy!!!:mad::mad:
I knew you would appreciate that one. I was thinking of you the whole time!!! :goodvibes
This is a great picture of you and your bride! Thanks! I even like THAT one..... :)

I'm sorry it took me so long to get over here for the updates...work was hectic and then our snow day was hectic. Life has just been too darn hectic. But other than that, you have no excuses??? :confused3

I notice that Molly and I are listed LAST on the list for the contest. Hmmm...coincidence?????? No. They are in the order I received them, after grouping by points earned and then bonus points. No way would I slight you my dear!!! (BTW, that is not a complete list, just the top scorers for round 1. Some didn't get listed at all...)

I'll never get bonus points as I'm not very creative so looks as if another contest I start will end up in the toilet. Not in the toilet. Creative is not the only criteria either. Besides, bonus points will only be used in the end if I need them to break a tie. (get more than anyone else correct and you still win even with NO bonus points) Other than that, they are just for fun.........so I didn't expect that to include you anyway!!! :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

It sounds like you guys all had a great first night at the MK. And the pictures of the castle are absolutely breathtaking.
Thanks! I was so ready to get there, and that was a great way to start our days in the parks! A sight that just got everything off on the right foot!
Well shoot! I apologize for ruining the quiz. Seriously, I was really hoping to run into you guys too, even though other than a mom, dad, and three older boys, I had absolutely no idea who I was looking for!!! :rotfl2:
That's funny because right before I came to this thread, I was on yours and said the same thing about running into you guys.....well, kinda! :lmao:

Because of the last question in this chapter of the contest, I want everyone to send me their answers in a PM this time. DO NOT post your answers in the TR thread so those who answer later aren't swayed by the earlier guesses, and get the equal joy of figuring it out! (Or give creative bonus point responses!!!)

Questions for Contest 2:

Where did we eat breakfast the morning we checked in at Kidani? (Note: We spent the first night off-property, about 3 miles from Kidani, but only around 6/10 of a mile as the crow flies)

Which elevator did we use from "underground" parking for our stay at Kidani?
(For those who don't have a clue, there are four of them. In alphabetical order they are Pumbaa, Rafiki, Timon and Zazu.)

What was the first thing Marv did when we got to Epcot?

Who was the first Storyteller we watched in WS?

How many Storytellers did we stop and listen to? How many did we hear the whole performance of?
(Hint: The answers to these two are not the same number, and the first number IS larger than the second! Also, this is a great place for bonus points........)

What was the first thing (ride/show/activity) DSs did after we arrived at Epcot?

What Street Performer(s) did DW and I watch perform?

What photo op did Marv wander upon around 4:00pm?

What is this a picture of? (Cropped from a larger picture that will be in the next TR update)

I know I'm late but I'm here now. I took a break from the DIS starting the week before Christmas.

I skipped over the chatter and used your wonderful links to get caught up.:thumbsup2

I have to say I'm a little exhausted just reading about your Christmas and getting to Disney. But I have enjoyed it. I love the pictures of the castle and the picture your you and your DW. The decoration are just so fabulous. I hope your whole report has even more.

Okay, I'm suddenly thinking of an old SNL skit with Alec Baldwin, but aside from that....

:rotfl2: Just now saw this!

Marv, I just got caught up on your last update. Yay, you're finally at Disney! At least the drive was pretty uneventful, save for the 'will we or won't we make it in time' drama.

I must be one of the ones who only got 2 or 3 answers right. But not too bad for randomly guessing!

Looking forward to reading about the Epcot day!

So what you're saying is you weren't actually reading the hints/suggestion posts that came between the questions and the answers........ :confused3

No, I was moving during your trip, so missed a bit of the during trip stuff and posts. But I just spent a fair amount of time going back through the thread and am now prepared. Although, can't say as though it helped me SQUAT on this round of questions. I fear I am still in the tank on this lot. :headache:

(btw, I bet you were one of those who made parenting easy when you were a little girl.....well, younger girl)

Ha!! I gave the a run for their money- literally most of hte time. I was a good kid, but sometimes a real smart alek!

Okay, I know what they say about the word assume, but since you didn't put a wink or anything after that, I'm gonna go out on a limb here. I know I paid for it earlier dealing with Magdalene, but if you really can't think of her name, try post 1 or look really closely at my DISname...... :rolleyes1

Seriously, I couldn't think of her name. ANd although I read the first post, it was one of those things that DIDN'T pop into my head when needed. In fact, I always wondered at your screen name. Call me an idiot, but that's how it was. Now, I know... :thumbsup2

It was a cold first night, and it was actually more closely warm water, with a hint of cocoa taste...... :sad2:

That stinks!! You should have gotten a dole whip float...You'd have had a better drink, AND I'D have had one more point! :lmao:

Amazing how you read these things, and then when you need them, they pop into the forefront of your mind, uh head, just when you need them!
:rotfl: Nooo, not you! And yes, you got those three correct, so you aren't very far behind the leader.....but then, neither is anyone else! ;) Sorry no bonus points this time, but knowing you I think you can make them up quickly!!!

I can certainly try... But dang!! these are HARD!!! :scared1:

OOHHH OOOHHHHH I sooo know what that picture is.

I have to answer the rest but I thought I had to shout that out. :lmao:

:welcome: Vanessa!!! I totally understand about taking/needing a break sometimes. Glad you joined in, and the links helped. Surprised there is so much chatter to get through; you know how much I hate it......:rolleyes1

Yes, now that I'm on the Disney part of the trip, there will be lots of pictures and many more of the decorations. That was my ultimate goal this trip.

I will probably give a complete update on scores after the next round. And randomly guessing is most fine; I just wanted to do something that hopefully will be a little fun for everyone.

I have faith your game will get stronger as we go along. Probably try and post the next update Sunday night, so there is still time that you might come across some hints I have left in other threads.....:rolleyes1
Ha!! I gave the a run for their money- literally most of hte time. I was a good kid, but sometimes a real smart alek!
You? NO!!! ;)

Idiot! Hey, I didn't want to do it, but you made me...... :lmao: No problem on the name. Knowing you, I couldn't be sure if you were just being facetious...... :rolleyes1 Plus, the last time I assumed that someone was serious about a comment, Magdalene torched me over it!

BTW, while we are on names, since I didn't get to make the DC Meet like so many others, do you pronounce your name Li-e-sa, Li-sa, Lie-sa (like Ms. Minelli) or something completely different???

(now, if you like, you can call me an idiot back) ;)
That stinks!! You should have gotten a dole whip float...You'd have had a better drink, AND I'D have had one more point! :lmao:
You know, I still haven't had one of those. Definitely on the list for our trip in June!!! As cold as it was the first part of our trip, an ice cream drink was nowhere near my thought process.
I can certainly try... But dang!! these are HARD!!! :scared1:
Yeah, these are pretty much guess and pure luck for the most part. There have been threads where I kinda gave some of them away, and when I post the update, I'm guessing there will be some where people say "why didn't I think of that???" ;)
You know Dan, you could learn some things from Amy!!! :rolleyes1
OOHHH OOOHHHHH I sooo know what that picture is.

I have to answer the rest but I thought I had to shout that out. :lmao:
I thought you might...... ;)
Awww...I'm now good at these...guess I'll just wait for the next update! :rotfl:
That's okay Tina. Hopefully you are enjoying the TR enough to make up for it! :) You'd be surprised how many "aren't good at these!" :rolleyes1

Just a reminder to everyone, we spent our first night Off-property, in a hotel room. Five people, one bathroom, and pretty much only one in the crowd is a morning person..... :rolleyes1

And I'm sure that is NOT you. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Hmm, you ever notice the time of day I do a lot of my posting on the DIS???

If I sleep until 7:00am I wonder what happened!!! When I was a teenager, I would hear my Dad's alarm clock go off, hop out of bed and quickly make it and be heading towards the bathroom by the time my Mom would come out.

DFIL and I have many lengthy conversations when we are at their house, while we are waiting on everyone else to get up so we can have breakfast....... :sad2:

I hate it, but I have an internal clock that not only wakes me up a couple of minutes before the real clock goes off to get up for work, but even on the weekends when the clock isn't even set...... :guilty: I never have a problem being ready for rope drop, and sometimes I am the only one who goes.... :confused3

I meant that in the fashion that you were perhaps "not a pleasant" morning person. I used to be able to sleep until 9 a.m. (and believe me I am NOT a morning person); now I'm up on the weekends by 7:30 and it drives me nuts. However, on vacation, I never want to sleep in and Mark does. :confused3:confused3

I'm ALWAYS pleasant. :) Now other's may not agree when I start gently nudging them that we need to get up and get moving to get somewhere on time.........but that is THEIR bad attitude. Has nothing to do with kind, sweet and gentle ole' me!!! ;)

You'd be surprised how many "aren't good at these!" :rolleyes1

I sent my answers, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to be one more who's not good at this. Oh well, I guess you can't win if you don't play. Actually, compared to my chances of winning the lottery, I probably have a pretty good chance at winning this game.:rotfl:

Just "Lee-sah" like every other Lee-sah born in 196..... but I changed the spelling (not legally) in jr. high, and it stuck. that was in my reeeeealy rebellious stage. I guess other than the occassional TPing job my neighbors got, that was as fiesty as I got. ;)

I got 2 right, I'm at the top of the page where the answers are.

You made it to the ticket booth ontime.
You took the ferry over (I called it a boat)

great update so far! I love all the beautiful Christmas decorations.
