Snow on Main St at Christmas

I've been to DLRP in early January but I don't remember seeing snow in Main Street. Mind you that was back in 2001!

Does it always snow in Main Street during Christmas season?

It has done so each time we have visted in the past 3 years.

Its not a constant flow of snow though. You will hear a magical sound of tickering bells/ music and then the snow starts. It falls for about 5 minutes - enough time to take pictures.

It does make it feel VERY Christmassy

I know that it snows only if you go to the Christmas party in WDW so that's quite nice to know that at DLRP, it snows throughout Christmas season. Even if it is in intermittent spurts!

Last year we were eating a sandwich and i saw snow through the window. I have to admit i actually went outside to check it wasn't real snow, DM thought it was hilarious. I thought it was a bit less regular than every 5 mins, but more often during parade times.

Don't remember there being a sound specifically before it happens- but then mum does talk a lot

Perhaps I was dreaming then - I may well have been deep in the Disney-zone

If I remember they started every hour or so and lasted abut 5 minutes each time.

Perhaps someone else could confirm the music sounds, the frequency and duration

I can't recall the frequency but definitely remember the bells to herald the start of the snow. Initially I thought it would not be very good, but it just makes the place even more magical

yup, all thru the christmas season. and it is soooo magical! and as has been said before, good for photos. ooooh its so exciting!

We had REAL snow in Jan Flippin eck it was cold though!!!

I love the snow on Main St - it's fab.

The best time we saw it was in 2003, Santa and his helpers held a litte ceremony at the hub and the tree was down at the bottom of Main St (or is it the top??) in front of the bandstand. There were large arches covered in lights all the way up Main St and during the Tree Lighting Ceremony, the tree and arches all lit up one by one until they got to the castle and the song 'C'est Noel' was playing and it was snowing!

Fantastic!!! People were all dancing in Main Street and smiling it was really fab - wish they'd bring that back! My mum and I bought the cd and listen to it every christmas!

We had 'snow' last December and it just made the whole Xmas season a lot more magical... It was a bit chilly but we managed to have fab time and both my daughters DD1 (5) and DD2 (3 months then) really enjoyed it - that's why we're going back there for the third time in a year

several times a day it snows through the christmas season, one of the times is during the parade after 2pm it also snows during the lighting ceremony in the evening and then again about closing time... it plays this specially twinkly music then it snows for about 5 minutes it's great i'm all excited just thinking about it!!!!!

day after the bonfore spetacular (usually about nov 8th onwards) to about the 8th january!

I think we had real snow about each time we went during Christmas season. Now, that is magical!!
