SNOW?? But I have to get to FW!!

I've had enough of this white stuff! Two yrs. ago when it came time to leave for the fort this is what it looked like....

I said, never again would I leave in that much snow and cold. Fast forward to this year.......

More snow is in the forecast for Christmas eve and Christmas day. We had planned on leaving the day after Christmas. Told my husband tonight----honey, looks like we should leave early----on Thursday to beat the storm. This would mean not being with the family for the holiday I don't even know if we can be ready to leave by Thursday.....but driving through a fresh snow and ice storm gives me the chills just thinking about. Where is Al Gore when I need him?? Come on global warming----I've got to get to the fort!

Hey drafthourse, I remember you from a two years back you stayed in the 300 loop??? or was it 400?? as the wife and I were there at the same time also (we were in the 1200) how long you there this year for? we get there on Feb 7th and leave on Mar 6th after a week in St. Augustine and a week in Naples. Thats are bigest fear also a storm that would delay our departure, we are going to get the same storm here in the N.E. x-mass day night/early 26th morning guess we will see what the snow gods will give us. Good luck on the ride and maybe we will bump in to you at the fort...Happy Holidays K.

Good morning! Susan whats the weather update for Ohio still talking snow for your departure?? Here there on the fence and just keep saying snow likly? they still don't know which way it's going to go snow or out to sea to our east ... will give you a look up when we get there and yes with that rig you wont be hard to find (what a tow rig you got there love it!!) Hey Susan & Terry hope you are able to get out in good weather. I fly in on the 30th but my flight doesn't get in until the evening. I come to the Fort on the 31st. We have snow on the ground and it looks like a storm on Sunday and Monday. Hope everything is well.
