You can snorkel at Discovery Cove - they issue you with the masks and snorkel when you get in. It is manmade - but there are Stingrays and fish and a shark tank to look at.

Not sure which beaches would be best - are you looking to travel further afield?

We were thinking about going to clearwater area....

You can snorkel from Clearwater Beach on your own or easily find a snorkeling boat tour in the area. Google "Clearwater snorkeling" to find a bunch of companies that'll be happy to help you and to find sites that have general information.
